I've got a funny feeling Rooney might just be coming back. I am one who doesn't want him But if RK wants to bring him back then we have to give him are backing a trust our manager knows what he is doing . But with the poll I've just seen we are split right down the middle and I just wonder what type of a reception he will get especially if it starts to go wrong and he is playing bad that's my biggest worry.

I agree with that Skylark. If he plays bad there is a certain amount who will give him greif. Wouldn't want to see that happening.

Rooney would be a massive improvement on gibson/ cleverly. Not saying i particularly want him back but would 100% support him if koeman brings him in.

A loan deal in Jan could surely be a beneficial scenario? Allow Rooney some game time and allow Koeman time to work with him, then he can be assessed and decisions made in the summer. Just wouldn't want to be picking up all of his wages and still wouldn't see him being a starter but would possibly offer another dimension. Have to trust Koeman and see what happens.

Whilst he will improve on those players, if we sign him I don't want to see him in midfield. He's a striker and should be used as one.

I am not really sure Rooney coming back to Everton would be good thing or not think if it does happen then Barkley position in team would be in serious jeopardy or it might just give him the kick up ass he needs its certain if Rooney did come back he would play just behind ROM which on paper looks really good but just can't get out of my mind that it's a hell of a lot of money to shell out on a player u might get 2years out of i was in charge money for January I would go out a try and sign the lad from Lyon rachid ghezzal this lad looks a top player he has pace lots of skill and scores goals and also great free kick taker he's the playmaker we are crying out for ages plus he looks a really strong lad so should fit into premier league no problem.

I'd happily take him back. I'm far from his biggest fan, but if he did come back and regained that fire and passion he's clearly lost, he'd definitely be a good acquisition and hopefully a positive influence on Ross. Would have to take a HUGE pay cut, though.

And as much stick as he's gotten over the years, you only had to go to Big Dunc's testimonial to know we'd all welcome him back with open arms, especially if he did take a pay cut to come back.

It's alright him getting his fire and passion back but I don't see him getting his pace and acceleration back at his age to play in Barkley or Roms position.

Either way I'd rather have Brahimi or Strootman and longevity than a short term fix that is not guaranteed on current form.

If he does come fine but hopefully not at the expense of players that will improve our squad and more importantly the first 11 and show ambition from the club.
