Are you surprised? Keeping stones was our marque signing

Apparently the paperwork was submitted in time so wait and see.

Would have loved Yarmolenko, but don't actually reckon it's as bad as people are making out.

We've kept Stones, Naismith and Coleman after receiving apparently quite sizeable bids. Bids which in the past we'd have jumped at.

We've signed Cleverley who's pleasantly surprised me (before getting injured) plus Deulofeu and two South Americans who nobody can really judge because we don't know much about them.

Plus Barkley has linked up with Lukaku well playing in a number 10 role and I reckon Kone has looked a real threat. Give them a few more games to settle and we'll get more consistency and more performances like Southampton away.

Other teams now have to bed in half a dozen players five games into the season after an international break.

Oh ye of little faith! It's just been confirmed that Aaron Lennon has signed a three year deal for a fee of around four or four and a half million pounds.

Bitter John - I think he's probably put in more crosses that have landed than anyone else, plus he's at least looked like he wants it in every game I've seen him in this season. Naismith won't set the world in fire but he gets goals and works his arse off.

Bitter John, Have you watched any games yet? All last season I slagged Kone, but so far this season he's proving me wrong.
He's putting a shift in and showing a good degree of competence. As for Naismith, he gets among the opposition and riles them, draws fouls, and gets us possession back. And that my friend has happened every game so far this season.

Agreed Mike. I've slated Kone since he was at Wigan then was gutted when RM signed him. He was then injured for months and I thought he was just taking the piss. Since he got fit in preseason I've thought he looks intelligent and willing plus he isn't greedy. I'd put money on him providing more goals - assists and scoring combined - than anyone else in our team this season if he stays fit.

The only way we could've bought big this window would've been to sell Stones or Coleman, and who would've been willing to come to us in either position of the same quality?

i can't beleave those of you who are getting at naysmith ,spurs were starting to get on top last sat until naysmith came on and got in their faces and caused them to commit fouls and got some of them booked I think if he had not come on we would have lost that game he is everton through and through and not a bad player to boot

{Ed025's Note - well you dont have to convince me jackdaw mate..

Naismith is one of our most consistent performers mate, so totally agree with you. Great with the fans and community, never moans about not starting and gets goals. Plus he winds defenders up like mad.

Like a shorter, blonder version of Big Dunc. just with far less cards.
