That's an interesting rumour. Harry Redknapp has said how he needs recruitments for central midfield as they only have four for that position.

They've also been recently linked with Mevlüt Erdinç and Redknapp has said that Remy would only leave for a top 7 club. Probably just putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5 though. Would be a tremendous deal for us if it ever did happen.

I also heard a similar rumour from inside the club yesterday - fee agreed 4m plus gibson.

I doubt it because we have been linked with him forever and it seems too convenient of a rumor for the papers to run but he would he a great signing if true. We would also need to sign another midfield player though.

Very doubtful player swap deals are complicated and very rare these days

How are we going to be able to sell/swop a player [Gibson] who is unfit and can't/won't pass a medical. Redknapp's mad but not that mad.
