Lukaku smashes in a hat-trick for Belgium last night. Another step further away from signing for us I think.

Bitter sweet really, I was happy he did so well but also knew at the same time that every goal he scores the higher his price goes

They were only playing Luxembourg. If I was playing I probably would have scored a hat-trick aswell.

He can only play against who he plays against, Mike. Nobody else scored one and it only took him 50 minutes he was then subbed.

I just don't see how scoring a few goals against the 'punchbag of football' affects his price.

I honestly think that I could manage it.

Honest to god Mike, you probably wouldn't get a kick if you played against Lux, unless you've played to a reasonably high standard. The fact is, the more goals he scores the more in demand he becomes. It doesn 't really matter that much who he scores against it's more the fact he is scoring. No other player on thd field managed it and it took him less than 50 minutes to do it. He scored 3 and has stood out above any other player in the Belgium side (for that game) and that gets him noticed, he's high profile atm anyway scoring a trick (no matter who agsinst) only serves to push his value up. It's just the way it works Mike. In my opinion anyway
