Why on earth are we spending money on taking them to Portugal for a break they should be staying here and breaking there balls to get them working together.

It’s team bonding, as they play like strangers on a match day.

11 Mar 2024 15:45:58
So 777 had their meeting last week with the Premiership and still no news from either party.

It's not looking good is it. What happens if it all falls down?

{Ed002's Note - Why do you expect an immediate response.}

11 Mar 2024 18:43:35
Can’t imagine much will happen if it all falls down as you say.

Moshiri is smart enough to realise that if club goes into administration he gets very little to nothing back so can’t see him pulling out and letting that happen.

{Ed002's Note - Actually, for months he has had certain company trying to find alternative options.}

11 Mar 2024 18:54:05
It would hardly be an immediate response would it. Been going on for months.

11 Mar 2024 23:49:20
Ed if he’s had a certain company looking for alternatives does that suggest he doesn’t feel the 777 deal will go through or is he just hedging his bets and keeping his options open? Has he had any significant interest?

How do you see this saga ending? 777 being approved or an alternative buyer having to be found?

Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - If you are selling you always want options. As an example Chelsea had a large amount of interest, reduced to a short-list and then the decision was taken. Everton do not have that and right now just have the 777 Partners and Moshiri is paying to find alternative options. Right now, I stand by my original comments that "Everton should run a mile from 777 partners for two reasons - they are being investigated over investments in two low cost airlines that have seen reposesessions and, if Everton and Standard Liege were to both qualify for the same European competition, then Everton would be excluded". The huge complication is that they are currently paying the staff wages as Everton have dire financial issues. As for how it ends, I expect 777 Partners to ask for more time to prove they have robust funding plans in place and if they don't get it then it is rather back to square one. Another problem will come if the club get an immediate transfer ban as it will impact them being able to sign replacements for the likes of Jarrad Branthwaite, who they have been vigorously scouting options for. I would like to see this sorted out for the sake of the Everton fans.}

A mysterious Company hmmmm, I hope it is one not sanctioned.

12 Mar 2024 22:03:54
Thanks for your reply Ed, very interesting reading it.

Heck of a mess the club is in - can’t believe it’s been so badly run and those responsible have taken no responsibility for it as is the fans are the ones to suffer.

We see the same thing game after game, Shots over the bar, wide and if on target then straight to the goalkeeper. At set pieces it is obvious the opposition concentrate on stopping Tarkowski. Stop Tarkowski and you stop Everton scoring. So what is the coach doing in training to improve this and offer an alternative. The answer to me is nothing.

We obviously have a right side winger problem. Harrison is not the answer. In many games he has had the opportunity to get an early ball in with his right foot but didn't. He checks back and crosses with left. Opportunity gone. Yesterday saw him play a ball out to the right and no one there. It was the place where he should have been himself. Okay he may have been helping defenders out. He also put a cross in from the right and no one there. His fault or others for not getting on the end of it? Give Patterson a try in that position.
As others have pointed out, 2 full backs on the bench but play Godfrey there, why?
Who ever he puts up front rarely affects the performance. Why not bring Keane on and play up front. His shooting accuracy might even be better than the others put together.
It's important to get points to put some distance above bottom 3, in expectation of further points reduction.
It was obvious from early on that we wouldn't get anything with that ref in charge. United played for those penalties and got them.

10 Mar 2024 12:35:11
Harrison just doesn’t look up when playing the ball. A 30m player? I don’t think so.
Agree with the Patterson shout. But as for pens, they didn’t play for them, we made poor tackles. Both were pens, and they maybe should have had at least one more.

10 Mar 2024 16:54:43
They could easily have had three pens.

09 Mar 2024 18:59:08
Well we gave them the points today with those 2 penalty gifts, but apart from that that they didn't play very well either it was a day when we could have easily got some points, regards our subs none of them exactly moved any mountains either, we have three weeks before our next game and staying in the Premier league is still very much in our hands with us having to play most of the teams around and below us, so will keep positive and hope we make it.

Always love your positivity GB, keeps me going.

09 Mar 2024 18:24:07
What are the stats for SD win, loss draw compared to other managers,?

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Mar 2024 19:58:42
At Everton. Not including friendlies
Managed 53
Won 17
Drawn 15
Lost 21

Must be in the bottom 5 I would imagine.

10 Mar 2024 12:36:49
He will be disappointed it wasn’t 21 draws.

10 Mar 2024 16:59:10
11 games no wins.

10 Mar 2024 20:48:04
If we had a decent centre forward I’m sure most of our draws would be wins we create enough in every game to at worst take a point but lack any confidence in front of goal and doesn’t help us we have a midfield who only get about 10 between them in a season just hope we can nick a few 1-0 wins against the clubs in and around us and have a overhaul in the summer.

12 Mar 2024 22:47:05
Think Dyche is somewhere around the heady heights of what Walker achieved.

09 Mar 2024 14:46:40
Another game, another loss. Where do I start? 2 absolute gifts for United with regards to the penalties. Stupid and clumsy tackles.
Simply cannot defend like that. The second one killed all hope I had of getting anything from the game.

Again Dyche was slow to make changes. Harrison and McNeil need to be dropped or Dyche needs a new formation to utilise. You simply cannot go on hoping that something is going to change by doing the same thing over and over. The goal threat we possess is laughable because we were abysmal in the final third again. Onana had the easiest game in goal for United. The team is just so bad to watch it's like torture.

I never expected any other result to be honest. Actually surprised we kept it to two. As you say gifted penalties again. Looking at the run in, the games we should expect to win are running out. I'm getting depressed more as each week goes by.

And now Leicester apparently facing FFP charge for 2022-23 season when they went down, apparently will start the season on minus points if and when come up.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Mar 2024 17:13:48
If 777 don't complete the takeover and we owe them £200, would that or any interest on the loan (s) go against us for a future FFP ruling?

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Mar 2024 17:32:57
If it’s £200 I will pay them, no problem.

05 Mar 2024 18:34:00
I'd pay it myself too haha. I meant £200m.

05 Mar 2024 20:59:44
I know mate ?.

05 Mar 2024 21:36:18
Can’t we just give them Mason Holgate? He’s worth about £200.

06 Mar 2024 07:49:04
The fans would chip in to pay the £200. Club can't afford to lol.

05 Mar 2024 14:32:36
I’ve never been one for conspiracy theories, however the 6 month wait for the premiere league to settle the ownership of EFC is starting to look like their best way to complete shaft us.
Yes I know they’ll say that 777 haven’t given all the information bla bla bla, so that being the case then just say
“You’re not fit “
Potentially now we are in hock to 777 for £200m so more debt that a new potential buyer would have to swallow.
It should have taken 2 months max to carry out due diligence not 6.
They will eventually say they’re not fit, current owner isn’t interested and we’ll go into administration.
The club is doomed, the fans have no spirit left to lift the team, and frankly most of us have just given up.

{Ed002's Note - The extra debt is not for a new owner to "swallow" but an effective reduction in the value of the club unless 777 don't want it turned in to equity. There have been other issues delaying the sale such as the charges over the financial misconducted of the club. Originally I said they were not the solution and I stand by that.}

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Mar 2024 16:14:43
I think everyone is of the opinion they’re not the answer, and. Don’t believe they have the financial means to do a decent job, that’s why I just wish the PL would pull the plug on it and allow for other potential investors.
Interesting you say that the £200m could be turned to a debt equity swap, would make sense as I don’t know if 777 would be top of the list to be paid out.
Fingers crossed this is sorted soon.
Ed002 insightful as always ?.

{Ed002's Note - The final submissions to question from the Premier League are due this week - they may already of happened. That means it is then a case of the decision being made.}

05 Mar 2024 19:19:03
Well I guess we’re all about to find out soon.
Thanks again Ed002.

{Ed002's Note - I would think in a week or two and the results of the second charge will be known in about a month.}

05 Mar 2024 21:09:16
Can’t we get Sly, Arnie and Bruce to buy us out. The Planet Hollywood Stadium?

05 Mar 2024 22:30:03
If 777 aren’t the solution, do you have any ideas who would be a solution Ed02? We are desperate for a new owner and, sadly, no one else wants to buy us (to public knowledge) .

{Ed002's Note - Plenty of people but it is not an attractive option - certainly with other PL clubs for sale coming up for sale.}

08 Mar 2024 06:06:28
The more you hear about 777 the worse it gets! Apparently the other clubs they own have the fans demonstrating about them! Surely there has to be interested parties out there?
I'm convinced this is all deliberate by Moshiri and want's the club to go into administration!

04 Mar 2024 23:17:18
Everton's financial future will be put into major doubt by the end of the month if 777 Capital's proposed takeover remains unresolved.
FSA approved, FA approved, not the Premier League though.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Mar 2024 07:30:29
Worrying isn’t it?

We could well end up being docked 9 points for administration at this rate.

It is strange the FSA and FA have approved it but not the Premier League.

05 Mar 2024 10:03:17
The way their going I will be able to buy the club soon.

05 Mar 2024 12:59:36
Maybe Herr Masters does not want our little club in his EPL and, waiting to sink us at the end of the season with points deduction that will drop us below all others.

05 Mar 2024 13:27:34
Administration and some investor will come in with a £1.

05 Mar 2024 17:33:43
Well Chelsea were once sold for a pound.
