Ten mins to go ideal time with the space out ther to bring Danjumma on for Harrison who was poor second half!
Hopefully we will survive this season but the manager is not good enough!

Serious question - how do you feel dyche isn’t good enough?

After 33 games last season we had 28pts

This season we’d have had 38pts if it wasn’t for the deductions so clearly he’s improved us.

The football isn’t attractive and it’s a tough watch - but that’s different to saying he’s not good enough as he is clearly performing better for us than what happened last season.

Also got to take in to account all the upheaval and stress that’s been around the club with the points deductions and saga of the ongoing takeover.

{Ed025's Note - i get what you are saying Dan and to be fair he has fulfilled his brief, but do we really want our future to be a borefest week in week out and saving ourselves by the skin of our teeth every year mate?, his style of play is archaic and even if we had better players with his style it wouldn,t change things at all mate..

21 Apr 2024 22:48:26
I definitely don’t want the borefest week in week out / however I can’t see how we change anything with the financial mess we are in.

Can’t see dyche being sacked as would have to pay him off - think we’ll stick with him till his contract ends - so as fans we’ve just got to put up with it. He did manage to get Burnley playing well and into Europe one season so not all boring.

Will be interesting to see who we get for the season we start in bramkey Moore - but think we have to check our expectations as to imagine we’ll have a top manager joining us.

22 Apr 2024 08:43:59
Why have fans got to put up with it? Do you really think this clown will change anything given another season, I don’t. We are a one dimensional team, easy to play against, because we have one tactic.
If it wasn’t for huge slices of luck in our last two games then we could very well be down already.
Keep him next season and we will get relegated.

22 Apr 2024 10:23:00
Fans have got to put up with it as there is no alternative - not sure if you’re not aware of the huge financial mess we are in and the real possibility of administration.

All the hiring and firing of managers has contributed to this mess.

We’re allegedly having to sell some of our players just to keep afloat.

New owners won’t remove the PSR issues.

Whilst I imagine a lot of us would prefer a different manager, one who plays attacking football, gives youth a chance and has a plan b and c - it is highly unlikely to happen until Dyche leaves but don’t think he’ll be sacked as there is no money to pay him off!

22 Apr 2024 13:32:40
Nobody has a clue what state we will be in until the new owners are announced. As for Dyche keep him and carry on playing hoof ball and it’s not just the players leaving the club will have to worry about.
You don’t need to spend fortunes to have a decent team. Look at Villa when Gerrard was in charge. Now they have a proper manager who knows how to get the best out of his players.
Brentford, Bournemouth and Brighton. Don’t spend fortunes but do well, and play some nice football.
So it is possible, you just have to have a manager who can do it. Dyche can’t.

{Ed025's Note - im with you Harlex..

22 Apr 2024 14:12:59
I’m not disputing that Dyche isn’t the manager to take us forward.

What I’m saying is there is no money, we’re having to take out loans to run the club day to day.

We’d all love a different manager with a different style of play however we can’t realistically afford to do it at the moment.

Even with new owners it won’t take away from the current issues we have we PSR and they can’t just throw money at the club - we’ve had that previously and that’s contributed to the mess we are in.

22 Apr 2024 14:17:15
We won 2-0. . Pickfords save, out of this World, standing in front of us 'COME ON'! Yeah borefest! I am a get the heck out of my way, coming through, type of football play fan! We do have good players and Dyche is a neanderthal that is stubborn in his ways but he should now see us through this season. I am off to lower league football next season or until someone buries Masters neck first next to Gormley!

21 Apr 2024 16:33:59
I know there is a lot in the Dyche out camp but looking at things outside the box and with a few beers in me.
Even with all the uncertainty over points deductions financial restrictions owners etc.
We've still got more points than we did last season ( without deductions) and we've got 5 games to go so I'm looking as that as a positive.
I know the football isn't pretty but I think with what he has at his disposal he's doing well. I know there's players we say should or shouldn't be playing but we know it's going to take time but we do need the stability for a couple of years and like when we had Moyes it took him a while to change us from a relegation team to a mid table side to being a top 6 side. Give him time or at least the night before he gets slated again.

I was a keep Sean fan but I cannot condone why he keeps picking Young, we have both Garner and Godfrey both fit and better than Young, also his continued late subs change when games are pivotal and need replacements, game of opinions mate but he surely will go once we have assured our place in the Premiership for next season.

21 Apr 2024 19:05:12
The football is shocking and if it hadn’t been for some dodgy VAR decisions we could easily have lost.
This one win doesn’t hide the fact that he’s not very good.

{Ed025's Note - understatement of the year that Woburn..

21 Apr 2024 19:19:40
Really happy with this win today, and looking at the Teams around us and their run in one more win for us and we should be safe.

19 Apr 2024 23:02:20
Can’t see past a 0-2 Forest win.
There forward line is so much stronger than ours. : (.

20 Apr 2024 08:01:29
That's also my prediction, though we've had a few draws with them, that's what I'm hoping for, a draw, but like you, I think they'll beat us 0-2 ?.

20 Apr 2024 08:48:52
Gibbs White is going to run us ragged and we will do well to get a point.

20 Apr 2024 09:23:47
Awoniyi or woods up front that knob origi on the bench hope he doesn't comeback to haunt us ?.

20 Apr 2024 13:59:30
Looks like DCL will be fit so him and Beto up front to get a couple of goals 2-1 for me, massive game this.

20 Apr 2024 14:39:42
Origi always worries me. The jammy goit always nets a goal against us and usually at the death to ruin our day.

21 Apr 2024 06:18:25
I admire GB's optimism but do wonder where it comes from.

21 Apr 2024 08:13:05
We’ve got to go with 2 up front never mind all this defensive crap SD plays, it’s simple we need a win and we’re at home.

21 Apr 2024 09:57:54
No chance Dyche goes 2 up top. After Lutons defeat it's very much a game think both teams would take a draw.

Expect a very tense 0-0 1 nil either way.

21 Apr 2024 12:09:03
Would be well chuffed with a 1-0 Mocker mate.

19 Apr 2024 18:43:17
Just seen SD interview the bloke just talks rubbish. how they are trying to unlock the key to a winning team and do something the 7 previous managers couldn't do What's that take us down with his exiting football style. I have given him my support in the past but I'm fed up now and the bloke needs to go. What a joke we have become a Dickhead owner a clueless manager and a team full of bottle jobs. with a few exceptions that we will have to sell. Rant over COYB'S.

19 Apr 2024 20:54:47
It’s like he’s saying a decent manager couldn’t get a tune out of this squad so what hope have I got
He’s constantly going on about we we’re struggling before he was there but yes you were brought in to get us out of the mess and if you can’t then walk away and we will find someone who can.

19 Apr 2024 22:33:29
Filling the players with confidence I see.

20 Apr 2024 07:40:18
He is just blaming everyone else because he is inept with his tactics Bournemouths manager and the lad at wolves have been at there clubs half the time SD has been with us and implemented how they want to play even the aussie at spurs has. we concede the 1st goal and go to bits no decent controlled attacks and are set pieces have gone to rubbish mark tarcs and you stop us. when are players have the ball they get pressed when the opposition have the ball we sit back and say play through us and how many times do we concede with there 1st shot on target ????.

19 Apr 2024 14:19:10
The next 5 games are genuinely terrifying. Dyche will be there until the end regardless.

Be watching Forrest from behind the sofa.

19 Apr 2024 14:56:38
Put your crash helmet on Chris we will be fine mate.

19 Apr 2024 08:33:46
Went the doctors yesterday. Doc asked me what's the problem. Told him I was an Everton supporter and he immediately booked me in for therapy, and has advised me to go on long walks on a Saturday and stay away from television and radio for at least the next six weeks.

19 Apr 2024 11:14:38
Good advice, may do that myself.

19 Apr 2024 23:44:39
Ditto.

19 Apr 2024 07:27:55
I've seen reports say that we could go into administration. All I know of this is that we get points deductions and I believe we are forced to sell players to reduce cost/ debt.

What I don't know is when the points deduction comes into effect. For example let's say we win against luton brentford forrest sheff utd. and we have a 10 point cushion over the 3rd from bottom team. Could we enter administration this season take a points deduction or is there a cut off point before it goes into next season.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Apr 2024 11:19:31
I think it’s an instant deduction, however I can’t see it happening this season, and Moshiri definitely won’t want that to happen As he’ll lose £500m.
We can only survive if we sell our key assets, take free agents and bring the youth through.
It won’t be pretty but better than administration.

19 Apr 2024 06:20:06
Just woke up for an early morning toilet visit (its my age you know) and seen that World War 3 looks imminent.

Yes we all might die in a furnace of hot radiation, but at least they might call the season off.

This is literally how desperate I’m gettiing! ??.

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Apr 2024 18:45:06
I emailed Morshiri last night giving him a piece of my mind. Pointed out how he has destroyed our club, us fans, and to man up, dip into his finances and, put right what he has done. Shallow man did not even bother to reply.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Apr 2024 02:42:51
Perhaps Mr. Usmanov took all the keyboards when he left Everton. All Moshiri has left are pigeons, smoke signals, and a box of Weetabix.

18 Apr 2024 15:41:52
Anyone remember after the first points deduction when we went on that run on not conceding and picking up wins. I’ve looked back we defended narrow and pressed in the correct areas at the correct time.

Now we seem gung ho at the pressing? And not defending narrow. Why the change? Mental. Do the basics do your own job and position a loan and shout at the other on the pitch who aren’t doing there bit. No leaders, no one wants to take responsibility to try and break the lines.

I find it hard to admit how bad we are an always look for excuses but there is just no defending them at the minute.

I just hope we go back to defending narrow, especially due to our lack of pace. Everyone who has the slight bit of knowledge knows to defend against pace is defend a bit deeper a more narrow.

Anyone else agree with this, an wonder why the drastic change in tactic?

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Apr 2024 15:21:46
Well no announcement today so obviously they are going to stick with this clown.
Now will he make changes for the Forest game? Will he change formation?
Lets face it you could drop both Young and McNeil and they wouldn't be missed. PLay two up front, bring Gomes in and play him in the centre, at least he can pass a ball. Have Onana, Gana and Gardner in the middle, and bring Godfrey in for Seamus.
If DCL still injured play the young kid and Beto up top.
Got to start having a go at teams, especially at home.

{Ed025's Note - if you think he will do anything different Brass i think you will be disappointed mate, it will be a war of attrition again with negative tactics and square pegs in round holes, Dyche has run out of ideas...and hopefully time..

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Apr 2024 15:46:57
I know you are right Ed, but as much as I want to walk away from this shower of s**t I can't. Bloody clubs like a drug, you know it's not good for you but you still spend all your money and come back for more believing it will get better.
Hate it, hate it, hate it.

{Ed025's Note - im in that same boat Brass, they do my bloody head in and as much as i hate them mate they are and will always be my team, they do frustrate the hell out of me though and i must admit i have given up trying to defend them, just another day in the life of an Evertonian i suppose..

16 Apr 2024 17:22:31
Spot on Brass. Although we may survive keeping things the same because of how terrible other teams are as well, we certainly won't win games.

Like you say, what is to lose in going at teams.

3-4-1-2 for me.

16 Apr 2024 18:44:58
With you totally on all of that Brass, it’s in our blood mate,6 games left and it’s still in our hands so so hope the Manager and Team do what is right and work their backsides off in those remaining games and keep us up.

16 Apr 2024 19:22:30
We would only stay up if we didn't have to play the teams around us. meaning other teams would be doing our work for us Forest and Luton will hammer us.

17 Apr 2024 04:38:40
IF HE starts Keane on Sunday I'm turning it off. could someone please tell me why they all look knackered after 20 mins and we don't even press teams? Surely that is something to do with the training?
