liverpool hammering arsenal and they deserve the win, I think if we don't win tomorrow then its a battle for 5th between us, spurs and united

rob23

1.) I feel the same even if we win. We're not strong enough for 4th at this stage and even 6th would represent a good season. I'll take a draw tomorrow though a win would be great.

2.) Ill be made up even if we made europa league, this season was a new start and its been fantastic with lots to build on coyb!

3.) Agree with Pod. Before the season, I would have been happy with just a top 10 finish considering the changes we made. Granted, our expectations have been raised since, but even so, 6/7th wouldn't be too bad. Should have invested a LOT more in January though.

4.) Were not out of this lads. Were just getting our important players back and when we do our bench suddenly looks full of gamechangers. We get the right result tomorrow and the pressure is back on Liverpool. There's a lot more twists and turns yet.

5.) I totally agree with sheedy, if we win tomorrow we still in with a good shout. RS will drop a lot of points away from home against the relagtion teams as they won't be able to play counter attack as bottom teams will put loads of men behind the ball. If we manage a win tomorrow I think we can still get 4th and the FA Cup as well please God! If we can hang in there we have a lot of big palyers coming back from injury. Hope Traore will be a revelation and start banging them in. don't know much about him I hope he not jimmy bro! Keep the faith my freinds we will get 4th and and the CUP!

6.) Fortunately Liverpool are not so good at the teams fighting for their lives, its the footballing teams that they are hitting on the break and as much as I hate to say it tearing defences apart. An untimely injury/suspension and away day dropped points and we could still make it 3 seasons in a row :-)

7.) Even reds score 10-0 they can get only 3 points. Don't be panic.

Same old carp team selection. Don't know know why barkley still starts, also think it's a mistake playing with 2 holding mids. We could push one further forward in place of Ross and play 2 up front. We don't seem to care when we are behind as we have no urgency when attacking, same as last season. We need at least 6 quality players.

Can't see us signing anybody before the season begins. I hope I'm wrong, don't want to be playing catch up to teams that have already strengthend. Honesty thought we would have got our targets early.

anybody else starting to worry, the season starts in less than 2 weeks and i can't see any big names coming in soon. hope i'm wrong.

rob23

1.) 01 Aug 2016 14:38:34
No, not worrying at all.

2.) 01 Aug 2016 14:56:17
Although id love a signing or two, our squad and team is no where near as bad as people are making out. At least that is my belief. I have full trust in rk and above him, both moshiri and blue bill.

3.) 01 Aug 2016 15:42:00
Cropper16 we lose lukaku and stones do we still have a great squad? For one we wouldn't have 1 decent out and out striker and also be thread bare at the back. Obviously I would hope Koeman would have players in mind to bring in but they've still got to be given time to jel. If lukaku goes we need a min of two class strikers.

4.) 01 Aug 2016 16:15:09
No, I agree with you on that one. If lukaku goes we definitely need at least 1, probably 2 (depends what he thinks of dowell, Del boy at St and potentially mirallas) . Same goes with stones, again depending on the kids we may need 2. An I also agree that we should give any new players as long as possible to gel. Just don't think it's as bad as some people are making out.

5.) 01 Aug 2016 16:44:28
We keep on hearing that Stones and Lukaku are going to leave but they are still with us. The big concern is that if they stay their heart will not be in it. Stones was not up to his best last season and everyone forgets that Lukaku went missing for the last ten games of the season and missed a critical penalty in the Semi-Final. If both stay and continue in that vein we are in trouble anyway. If they commit to the club and are happy to stay I would rather keep them, if they sulk then I would rather they go, especially for the ridiculously high sums being spouted. I trust Koeman and Walsh to know what is needed, they are not stupid people, they both have been used to success and they also know that Moshiri will not tolerate failure. It will take time but the squad will be improved and we will have players who want to play for Everton rather than other teams.

Who knows for the first time in years transfer deadline day might actually be worth watching?

{Ed002's Note - Perhaps the Friday before might be more fun?}

im shocked and embarrassed after watching those videos online, especially the one of the gang following Naismith and stones home, they must have been really afraid, this is not acceptable. I don't care what anybody says, these people are not real supporters, they are scum, we have always had hard times at everton but always got behind the squad, this is not the way to react.

rob23

{Ed025's Note - i totally agree rob..

so what now? can't see stones playing for us again so with spurs on saturday we have jags and maybe a defender who has never played english football before, worrying times.

The most important thing is the team being stronger, if the club can afford what we are paying then I have no problem. We could start this season with stekelenberg, gueye, Williams, kone, Bolasie and bony, that already makes us way stronger than we were even with stones gone. Also koeman is a better manager than Martin so we know he will get the best out of the players we already have. Coyb!

Don't think everyone is "happy" with a draw but pleased with the performance, it was a lot better than some of the dross we watched last season and with some new signings we could do quire well this season.

lets be honest mate, the ticket money hardly covers any wages, if the tv, sponsors and merchandise were gone we would cease to exist over night.

25m plus moses, are you joking? really? moses is a load of crap and why would we sell for 25m when we have already rejected 30??????????

Wake up!! erm i'm just as big as fan as you and if you don't think that was a proud performance away to a very good west ham team with us only having 10 men then I believe you were watching a different game. yes we have been poor all season but I think were starting to turn the corner. you can either cry about what has already been (we can't change that) or get behind the team, we need all the positive support we can get

rob23

{Ed025's Note - well said rob..

Nice to see you supporting our team, with supporters like you, who needs rivals? and as mcCarthy doesn't do enough? erm he covers more ground on that pitch than anyone I have ever seen.
