Blanc has premier league medals with Man Utd so he knows the premier league very well. He could marry the European style of ball retention with premier league fitness which could make us a force to be reckoned with in the future. He has a big name so can attract big name players which neither dyche or Silva have at the moment. Yes we have to think of team stability but we also have to have an eye to the future as well.

I am going to ask you what have either dyche or Silva won to date in comparison to Blanc, very little.

I too believe we can achieve stability under Blanc and so improvement in attacking prowess also.

The Blancs of this World only function where there is loads of Dosh and stability already exists. Despite the hype of a fairly rich majority share holder we do not in comparison have loads of dosh neither do we have stability. I reiterate Dyche abd Silva are used to working with Teams in our current position. At the moment the likes of Blanc are a luxury we cannot risk.

I personally think we need goals. They can I think, could put keV up front he has played there for Belgium up front and has scored a few up there. I believe a sweeper in front of back four to shore up defence and try to get a clean sheet and pump some long balls to Kumar and keV and try to nick a goal. I know that is ugly but it maybe effective. What do you think eds.

Correct me if i'm wrong emeraldblue but i'm sure kev was a striker for olympiakos when we bought him. He's actually a good finisher on his day, i know them days are few and far between but still can be a good shout 👍🏼.

2.) 03 Nov 2017 09:39:22
Totally agree in kev up front, he came to us having played up front for them.

3.) 03 Nov 2017 12:56:42
Might as well, because he's no good as a bloody winger.

4.) 03 Nov 2017 19:54:01
You give Mirallas his head and he scares the brown stuff out of defences the way he runs at them.

What the hell is going on. I'm not a regular poster except at transfer window times when I am not usually away working.
I have returned to find our beloved team in freefall, well when I left they were second everything OK very happy now they are seventh on a very poor run.
Please let me know what is going on. It seems to be too much deadweight need a massive overhaul. If we have to pay over the odds for a player well pay it. I realise it is not easy in the Jan. transfer but we must try. The alternative will be in summer losing our prize assets certainly Lukaku and possibly Barkley {although I'm divided on this one he is playing sh1t recently} and also Coleman too, there could be a mass exodus. Please let me know.

Well just my opinion as to what's going on. Firstly Martinez left us with a very poor squad that will take maybe 18 months to two years to correct.
However this does not seem to excuse the fact that in my view the players do not give 100% for Koeman.
Maybe this is to tough a job for him we shall see at the end of the season.

2.) 28 Nov 2016 17:17:41
I agree with u to a point milom Martinez did leave us with a poor and ageing squad but I do believe ronnie given time will get us going in the right direction as for the players not giving 100% if so then they should not be at everton but it could also be that we don't have the players to fit in with the style of play ronnie wants we could defiantly do with replacing a few players here are the ones I would be looking to move on in future transfer windows mirrallas, mcarthy, delboy, mcgeady, kone, niasse plus I think ronnie needs to freshen are team up if the senior players aren't doing it then we should try a couple of kids I would have holgate in for jags and I would put calvert lewin up front with ROM or just behind ROM to give him some support plus this would get the crowd right behind the team and the young lads it couldn't be any worse than Sundays performance.

{Ed025's Note - no argument from me there duke mate..

I think for 20m we should see if we can get Butland or Forster. This I feel will only drag on, we need to move on. Sorry to see us missing out on Hart he is a decent goalie.

imemeraldblue

1.) 18 Aug 2016 12:12:27
Id take Forster over Hart all day long. Great shot stopper, very commanding in his area, good distribution and above all, can catch a ball. In this crazy market, £20m -£25m is nothing.

2.) 18 Aug 2016 12:17:10
We'd have to go someway north of that figure to get either of them I reckon. Forster because it would mean Koeman going back to Saints and they would make us pay and Butland because he is going to be the England No1 for years. Somewhere between £30m -£40m IMHO.

3.) 18 Aug 2016 12:43:55
Still a drop in the ocean.

4.) 18 Aug 2016 12:55:14
Completely agree with Cadet. Would happily take Butland or Forster but £20m would only get you one of their gloves in this market.

5.) 18 Aug 2016 13:14:11
Forster also signed a five year contract in June or July so it would cost a great deal.

6.) 18 Aug 2016 13:30:12
Forster may be difficult to prize away due to recently signing a new long term contract. Butland signed a new contract not so long ago too. Abroad may be our best bet, but there isn't really a huge amount of stand out keepers. Leno would be my choice with Cillasen a close second. Patricio from Sporting Lisbon is another decent keeper too. Back to our count, Krul has supposedly been made available. I personally think he is a good keeper, but i know other disagree.

7.) 18 Aug 2016 13:39:06
Does make you laugh that they don't want Hart will sign this Bravo fella for around £17m and demand more for Hart who they feel doesn't fit what they want! Crazy times! 😳.

8.) 18 Aug 2016 13:57:45
Begovic anyone, seems like the forgotten man . I'd take him over the lotop mentioned.

9.) 18 Aug 2016 20:51:05
Barcelona have enquired about Cillasen apparently.

Eds it seems we are linked just now with Martins Indi, Kone and Williams do you think, if they are true, that we could have these deals done before Saturday. This would be great acquisitions if they go through. I feel that would be our defebnce sorted.

COYB.

imemeraldblue

{Ed002's Note - No idea - I cannot answer questions about the time to complete transfers. I have explained that Sunderland will not be keen to sell Kone but if offered over the odds will listen - and I have explained that a deal for Williams is well in hand but I suspect Swansea will want a replacement agreed before letting him leave.}

1.) 09 Aug 2016 12:53:34
Echo says that ronnie has no interest in Bruno Indi Martin.

Lads I feel an opportunity has been missed. I see Batshuayi has gone out on loan. I feel if Everton had pursued that I think we would have been a top 4 threat. Ah well what's done is done. I'm so looking forward to the season. Much hope for the future.

From what I've heard he wanted to go abroad. Also Valencia in European competition.

Much as I would have loved to have him though, I think we needed the central defense strengthened and I think Zouma will prove to be the better signing for us.

Like you, looking forward to the new season

COYB NSNO.

2.) 11 Aug 2018 03:42:46
We can't loan two people from a team, so it would mean no Zouma.

3.) 11 Aug 2018 07:54:18
i personally think tosun is better than him, certainly more suited to the prem, what has michy done in the prem except sit on Chelsea bench? no doubt he a good player just think tosun is better.

4.) 11 Aug 2018 08:26:21
Think you could be right on Tosun. The lad did okay when he came in and settled, particularly as most of the time he had to go and fetch the ball himself. The Team now has a new dynamic (once they are all gelled) , so Tosun will be fed.

5.) 11 Aug 2018 09:11:37
I'm happy with Tosun, I agree he has not let us down and has an eye for goal, but would have liked Batshuayi as an option or cover for injuries. That being said we have Richarlison who can play centrally or we could bring Walcott in from the wing and have Bernard or Lookman cover for him

We also have Dominic Calvert Lewin who doesn't deserve to be forgotten

Suddenly we have a plethora of options, all strong

It's good to be back. I suggested Blanc sometime ago and I still stand by that. He has premier league experience as a player and plays a good brand of European football, and is very meticulous. Roy Keane always respected him calling him a consummate professional. He also has a good rep so could attract some good players.
What do you thinks Ed's.

COYB.

imemeraldblue

{Ed007's Note - Roy Keane is one of the most perfect example of human evolution ever seen on earth in the past 200 years, we should all strive to be more Keane-like and the world would be a better place - but he's a bit of a nutcase underneath all that charm and charisma.}

09 Dec 2017 02:10:32
I don't see why he wouldn't consider a move if the money was right. I agree totally that it would be impossible to sign him in the summer. But in January he is cup tied so will have no CL after January. Why not have a punt all he can say is no! What do you eds think. If we're not in we certainly can't win.

COYB.

{Ed025's Note - no harm in trying emerald but i wont be holding my breath mate..

28 Nov 2017 17:56:38
Well we that was my only concern mate. Fonseca for me all the way.
Thanks ed.

COYB.

imemeraldblue

{Ed025's Note - no problem mate..

28 Nov 2017 17:11:48
Well for all those who say he doesn't know the premier league. Well he didn't know the Russian league and look at the job he is doing there.
My only concern with Fonseca is how good is his English.
What do you eds think of that.

COYB.

imemeraldblue

{Ed025's Note - according to the echo he speaks fluent english emerald, so lets just hope its all systems go mate..
