I'm probably going to get my head bitten off here but I'd like to see Benitez as our next manager. The man knows how to win and could be the one to take us up another level. His ties to the city/area could play a part in him accepting the job.
My first choice would be Pellegrini (spelling?). Seeing what he's done with Villarreal and the Malaga with relatively little money, I think he would be a great manager for us.
People may say that we can't attract the big names like that but surely we should be sounding them out at least before settling for someone like Gus Poyet?!
1.) Why people mention Benitez is beyond me, he is crap, sacked from last 2 jobs and can not hold on to this one, won with team houllier built, then ruined the sh*te and left. Plus don't think our 'little club' is big enough for his ego!
2.) Us lads from Aintree know a bit mate and I agree Benitez for me.

3.) Please NO! It's embarrasing but I don't think he'd look at us. But that's just as well. Because I for one want him nowhere near our job. And I don't think he will be.

I must say, I'm a bit perplexed by the growing 'Moyes out -Martinez in' brigade. Wigan almost go down every season and this could be their year. Wigan only really play the last 5-10 games of the season and are lucky that it has always been enough to scrape through. Is an annual relegation scrap what we want for our club?
1.) Correct son, next season they'll be the ' Martinez out laudrup in brigade' it's embarrassing I thought we took pride in not being like the rs but it seems SOME are. These so called supporters must think they no better than davie and are just conspiracy theorists and pessimists. IMWT 4th is still realistic ( tough but realistic) 11 points off 2nd, 6 off 3rd, not bad for a club with half the budget of the teams around us

Some people just don't understand what a release clause is. If there is a £24m release clause, any club that proves they have £24m to spend can talk to the player. Nobody is going to bid more than the release fee, ever. If there are several clubs competing for the player, they offer higher wages, the release fee stays the same. It's not that hard to understand, is it?
The first time I ever heard of him was on a radio station. they were talking about him deciding whether to play for England or Germany as he was able to play for both. They interviewed him and he said he supports Everton because of his dad. Doesn't mean we should sign him though!

It looks like Martinez wants the Everton job so the only way he will go to Malaga is if we don't give him the job or if we take too long to decide. I might be wrong but I think Malaga have major financial problems.
Ter Stegen at £20million at least and a £40million asking price on Benteke. In fact, I don't think we can afford any of those players!
I think losing Baines would change the way we play. Alot.
