Hi Ed002

Any truth in the interest in Patterson at Rangers as a right back option?

ToffeeBlueJo

{Ed002's Note - Nathan Patterson (RB) Manchester United could look to the Rangers player as cover but that would likely not deter the kid. Everton have tried for a year to sign him but are not an attractive option and were only interested in derisory offers. I suspect the others two players will be ahead of him.}

1.) 21 Dec 2021 20:15:05
Out of interest, what constitutes a derisory offer for some kid that can't get in the first team of a club that play in a pub league? Or is it just derisory because Steven Gerrard said so?

2.) 21 Dec 2021 20:28:01
Great post TD not worth the reported £5M they turned down, bench warmer and by the way that's an insult to a pub league.

{Ed014's Note - ??

3.) 21 Dec 2021 20:36:25
Thanks Ed much appreciated.

4.) 22 Dec 2021 04:36:18
Probably another case of Moshri putting his money where his (advisor (s) ) mouth is.

5.) 22 Dec 2021 11:49:07
That cracked me up. I do think the kids got potential but he’s not coming in and replacing Coleman in the starting 11 immediately is he?

It’s no secret that Coleman’s attacking play is nowhere near where it used to be. I would say his legs have gone but he offers nothing going forward, makes a fair few mistakes at the back and we need someone to replace him in the starting 11 if we want to start looking up the table.

6.) 22 Dec 2021 14:56:39
I'm confused MK doe's that mean you want him or not?

7.) 22 Dec 2021 19:46:15
I don’t know enough about the lad to pass judgement to b honest. I want him if we sign him, I guess it means he been properly scouted and the gaffer wants him.

I’m very much on the fence on this one.

11 Jun 2019 20:33:07
Hi Ed02 do we hold any interest or indeed any chance of getting David Neres? I really do think he would suit our style of play.
If so how much do you envisage he would cost?
Cheers in advance.

ToffeeBlueJo

{Ed002's Note - David Neres (RW/LW) has been watched but no approach has been made to Ajax.}

05 May 2019 12:32:34
Hi Ed002 firstly I apologise if this has been asked before, but who do you realistically see as an option for us this summer in the much needed striker position?
Also can you see Lookman leaving us?

ToffeeBlueJo

{Ed002's Note - I know Borja Iglesias has again been suggested even though he has previously said I has no interest in Everton, Espanyol have a replacement and are keen to move him on. Not one to get the fans dancing I am afraid. Leap was never going to happen. Dzeko wants to stay in Italy. Everton need to do something but they now have the issue of Ramirez returning as well. Lookman will look to leave if the right offer comes up.}

1.) 05 May 2019 20:38:19
Excellent thanks Ed.

27 Jan 2019 10:00:33
In all seriousness now, what is the answer?
Sack Silva or reassess at the end of the season? We can't continue to sack managers, that is part of the reason we are in the mess we are in. Getting a new manager in with different tactics, style will put us even further back.
I was very pro Silva up to a couple of weeks ago, but now I am asking the same questions we all are:

1. Why continue with a formation (4231) that clearly doesn't suit us. Try 433, we have the players to do it - imagine Richarlison, Lookman and Bernard interchanging and tearing at you with pace.

2. Do we ever work on defending in training? I swear my 12 year old son could've organised that back line better.

3. I love Sigurdsson, but dear me he has been ineffective for weeks - either play him deeper in the midfield 3 or give someone else a go.

4. Why are we so lethargic on the ball (back, sideways, back and repeat). Play the ball first time and fast, use the pace we have at our disposal and get the fans off their seat for the 1st time in years. I'm not talking long ball tactics but Gomes is more than capable of playing a ball into the channel.

5. Where is our leader? We don't have one player who gets in the face of the referee and argues. We are too soft and always take the decisions. Why was nobody reminding the ref of the constant pulling in the box.

Sorry for the rant but I have just this week renewed my season ticket for next year and part of me already is not wanting to go. Will they give me a refund?
What do we do - stick or twist Mr Moshri?

ToffeeBlueJo

1.) 27 Jan 2019 10:45:09
1, I have said for weeks to do this, its clear we don’t have the quality centre forward we need to play 4-2-3-1. So play to your strengths and Richarlison, Lookman and Bernard interchanging would be frightening for defences.

2, Silva has been honest and said this and the players need to stand up and take responsibility.

3&4, with a change of formation I think Sigurdson would be fine in a 3 man midfield. Confidence is the key for both him and the rest when it comes to slick fast passing.

5, I agree there’s no proper leader in the team. No jags or Neville. Seamus and even Baines are great pros but don’t have that leadership quality. I maybe wrong as you don’t see and hear everything.

Stick.

2.) 27 Jan 2019 11:33:14
Youth could be the answer. One player I like who gives out instructions and organises players is Feeney. I wouldn't be scared playing him at centre half. I think playing 4123 would be good or just standard 433. Another youth I think has enough to start is Joe Williams. Can pick a pass and has energy. Also Benni needs bringing back in.

3.) 27 Jan 2019 11:40:14
To great posts.

06 Aug 2018 11:29:34
Hi Ed002 what is the current situation regarding Mina? I've seen on Barca's feed that he has returned to training and I would think if we had agreed a fee he wouldn't be there. What do you know kind sir?

ToffeeBlueJo

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any agreement at this time.}

1.) 06 Aug 2018 14:21:00
I only believe what Ed002 tells me or as far as transfers in are concerned when the player is shown in a blue jersey signing the papers.

2.) 06 Aug 2018 15:06:35
I believe Digne was training with Barcelona the day before things were finally agreed. We will have to see what transpires.

3.) 06 Aug 2018 16:38:47
As I understand it they have agreed a deal but are waiting to see if others are going to make an offer just maybe he is not our first choice and we aren't his.

4.) 06 Aug 2018 18:54:39
Makes sense, Scoundrel.

I dreamt last night (nothing biblical or of an ejaculatory nature) of Celtic's Dembele, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Lascelles revealing themselves to us (again, no debauched pun intended) .

5.) 06 Aug 2018 18:55:20
Is Brands still in Barca?

{Ed025's Note - i really dont know mate..

How are all those Benitez supporters now? Blaming it on injuries etc.
The guy is inept and will take us down
He has to get sacked tonight or I will not go to another game.

ToffeeBlueJo

03 Jan 2022 09:27:25
I'm absolutely gobsmacked that some blues on here are defending Benitez. He played an aged RB (whose legs have gone) at LWB and then played a young lad at RWB that will never make it at this club unfortunately, all this while our French international left back is on the bench.
He also played only 2 in midfield when it was obvious before the game we would be overrun in midfield . If it wasn't obvious to him before the game, after 10 mins it was when we could have been 2-0 down - the guy is a clown and is going to take us down.
I understand that some issues have been around for a long time are not his fault (no RB cover etc) but as a kids football coach I could coach them better. They have had 12 days off to work on things and they look dreadful. The marking for their 2nd goal was amateurish today and then all the players appeared to turn and blame each other. This isn't a team, it's a group of individuals all out of form and not being coached at all.
The club needs to act now, get rid of him and unify / galvanise the team and fan base, otherwise we are only going one way I'm afraid.

ToffeeBlueJo

1.) 03 Jan 2022 11:23:18
12 days off? You messing? C.V. been flying round knocking players for 6 and a lack of games does affect players. DCL not match fit.

No one could coach these better, because they dog awful. Carlo got off because he knew how hard the rebuild was going to be. He got lucky last season when he parked 2 buses and snuck a few wins but there was some proper abject performances too.

2.) 03 Jan 2022 11:35:22
Agree Geoff mate.

3.) 03 Jan 2022 11:47:22
So nothing to do with the managers tactics then?

4.) 03 Jan 2022 12:01:13
I apologise we haven’t had a game for 17 days not 12! We were 5th this time last year, yes it wasn’t great at times but now it is goddamn awful.

Did you support Mike Walker then, as his record is exactly the same as Benitez? This team is not coached and it is clear for anyone that watches football live - 5 at the back at home to Brighton and 2 in midfield?

5.) 03 Jan 2022 12:08:26
Educate me then GB and Geoff, what did you see yesterday that makes you think Benitez is the right man for EFC?

I’m totally baffled, even the likes of Carragher doesn’t understand his tactics and he’s his mate.

6.) 03 Jan 2022 12:14:54
It’s a game of opinions fellas, some are for Rafa some aren’t, who’s to say who is right, swopping managers every five minutes will never sort this mess out, whoever is our manager has to be given time.

7.) 03 Jan 2022 12:27:20
Well at least we know if he takes us down he has the experience to get us back up again?.

{Ed025's Note - lets not even joke about that scenario bob..

8.) 03 Jan 2022 12:33:47
Agreed GB. All managers need to be given time, regardless if it was rafa or Mike walker. I joined in calling for martinez and koeman to go because they had had time to rebuild but it wasn't working.

Rafa has had 5 months, 1 transfer window, C.V., soggy and his mess, DCL out for all but 4 games, mina out for loads of games, doucoure was out, as well as having some of the worse players we have ever had in iwobi and rondon (rafa fault that one) .

Most of our players DO have a good game in them BUT it is so very rare it happens.

Rafa cannot be completely blameless. Some subs and tactics seem a little baffling but they try things using the players available and a lot of the time they haven't worked BUT he has changed it to win games early on in the season.

We came back to beat saints 1st game, Burnley and others thanks to his tactical changes and tweaks. no one was slagging him off then.

Looking at the bench yesterday and the starting 11, what else could he have done differently with those players.

1. Swallowed pride and started digne.
2. Put gomez in cm with Allan and doucoure but then have to play gray up with dcl and have less width.
3. For me, start 433, with gomez or gbamin instead of Kenny.

Rafa is on a hiding to nothing because he'll never win. We want instant success. I keep going back to August and we ALL knew how hard this season was going to be and we ALL knew we would have some tough times and poor results.

We all said this was a 2/ 3 year project but now everyone is crying about losing a few games. He has to at least be given the transfer window to see who cam be brought in and see how we get on.

{Ed025's Note - that is a great post geoff..

9.) 03 Jan 2022 12:55:19
Well said, Geoff, giving any manager 1 full transfer window and 3 days of the next, isn't going to give us fans the results we desire. We need to stop chopping and changing managers before we fall into the abyss.
It is comical how some people really believe that they could do a better job just because they run an under 14's team! There's a big difference in training footballers at youth level, for no money, to training professionals in the Premier league!

10.) 03 Jan 2022 12:57:44
Sorry but why is that a great post when Geof said in an earlier thread no one could coach these better

Where is the evidence of any coaching having been done. The players individually are going backwards, the set up of the team is atrocious, we are not defending or attacking as a unit well

All down to a stubborn manager who thinks he knows best when what he thinks isn't working.

He is not fit for purpose, We are paying millions for an out of date, past his best before date (by several years) know nothing but thinks he is God manager

But of course it is all the players fault. Did these players under any manager except Rafa only win one game in 13?

11.) 03 Jan 2022 13:35:31
Look all we ask is the team play with a positive attitude and that he bins this sit back and suck it up crap.
Yesterday he had the perfect opportunity to win fans over by playing four in defence, and playing Simms or Dobbin along side DCL.
The fans would have got behind him then. But as soon as it was announced they were starting with a back five, with Coleman (who is struggling at right back) playing left back. You could feel the disappointment all around the ground. Then when Rondon came on instead of Simms or Dobbin, well that just finished everyone off.
It’s almost like he is trying to wind us up.

12.) 03 Jan 2022 13:51:57
BW, did other managers have the top st, best cm and best cb out for a fair few games?

Us football fans have short memories, klopp was getting sacked after 18 months before he found the right formula and spent heavy on vvd and gk.

Kendall, fergie and moyes all under pressure with reports of losing jobs before turning it around.

It's probly more of an indictment of modern society that we look for instant gratification and success. We all thought when moshiri came in that we would be challenging, myself included.

We just bought players because they were expensive or on form for 3 games. We didn't see the character or personality or decide on a style of play before buying them. plus the outside pressures which led to 3 x number 10 and a million lw brought in.

The owner got to take a lot of flak for taking advice and buying players above the dof and managers head.

People can say that rafa going to mess us up. We are already a mess. He seems to be cleaning the backroom set up to improve the whole club not just the team.

Fergie, moyes, wenger all had Total control of the club from 1st team to transfers and academy set up and rafa seems to be doing the same.

I would, certainly be prepared to say we will be much improved 2nd half of the season with new lb and rb almost done, and a couple of others in.

Rafa does need to think about playing Braithwaite as cb and using simms or dobbin instead of iwobi or rondon.

13.) 03 Jan 2022 14:06:02
We all didn't know in August we would be in this position. I for one thought we would break even wins and losses. I for one thought Rafa would bring his respected knowledge, experience and tactics to this Club. Alas we are now in a worse run of form than under Walker. Optimism and Rafas rhetoric has got us nowhere that reality if not understood by the board should now be smacking them in the gobs.

14.) 03 Jan 2022 14:15:04
Totally agree Woburn and agree it’s a matter of opinions too.
I agree we can’t carry on sacking managers as we will never progress but this guy was not right from the start, he should never have been appointed in the first place.

In answer to your post Geoff
1 - yes the team always comes first not the manager
2 - yes, if you play Gomes alongside the other 2 you can have lay 433 which still allows Gray and Gordon to support DCL
3 - as above

We do not progress the ball quick enough, when was the last time you saw Pickford ping one out to the wings to release Gray, DCL etc a quick attack.

I really hope I’m wrong but I’ve seen some crap at GP since going in the 80s but this is up there with the worst I’ve seen but again that is my opinion.

15.) 03 Jan 2022 14:51:28
I have to go along with pretty much all the Rafa sceltics not least because it's rational and makes more sense to me.

Whatever was promised by Benitez when he took this job, I would bet my last penny that it wasn't ' . And by Jan. Mr Moshiri we will be about 16th playing like frightened rabbits staring into the headlights the fans will be fuming at my decision making but don't worry that's part of my plan, just wait for the sucker punch coming in Feb. '

Even Farhad isn't that gullible is he?

16.) 03 Jan 2022 15:08:00
Sceltics maybe a freudian slip there fellas ? Yes Sceltics is better?.

17.) 03 Jan 2022 15:20:12
I definitely typed sceltic as in sceltical ??

18.) 03 Jan 2022 15:30:15
Ok how about 'Doubtful' or maybe 'Doubters' ? ?.

19.) 03 Jan 2022 15:41:43
Fair points guys. I can definitely see the negatives in rafa and I'm not 100% happy with the way things have been going BUT as I say there are plenty of mitigating circumstances (so many more than Mike walker - the guy who got Norwich to beat bayern away) and let him get a couple of players in now.

At least give the guy 1 season to see if we can improve.

27 Jun 2021 08:25:25
Not been on here for a while and I'm absolutely shocked at how much support Rafa has on here from fellow blues.

Let me point out I will back whoever is in charge 100% as it's my team. I have personally never booed or thrown abuse at a manager or player while they have worn blue (and I saw the Mike Walker and Walter Smith eras) but come on why does anyone want him?

Forget he is an ex red and that he called us a small club - his tactics are awful and in the same mould as fat Sam in my opinion. This guy has not won anything for 10 years and yet he's still held in high regard. 'Everton's the team that play beautiful football' - not any more we don't. What is our motto again - forget it!

I really don't get the appointment at all, a couple of defeats and it will be toxic at the old lady and not somewhere I want to take my son.

Sorry for the rant but I just don't get it and I've never felt so detached from my club as I do right now. I really hope that I'm totally wrong anout this and that he's a massive success but I seriously can't see it.

UTFT.

ToffeeBlueJo

{Ed025's Note - quite a few feel the same jo but the club has made their decision and will live or die by it, i think they are looking for stability and a road to the top six in the next few years and i think rafa can bring that, but he will be judged on results and if thats not forthcoming im sure he will be the next one out the door mate..

1.) 27 Jun 2021 08:59:18
But why him Ed? Do you seriously think he’ll be here for more than a season? Rafa won’t have the luxury of building a team over a few seasons, the fan base will want instant success - I suspect a minimum for next season would be top 7 and / or a cup final otherwise he will be gone.

We have Marcel Brands and the model of a director of football should mean if a manager moves on, the players, style of play etc suit the next manager meaning there should be consistency.

I have not yet renewed my season ticket but I definitely will be doing as I’ve missed it so much this last 18 months, but I can honestly say I’m dreading it already.

{Ed025's Note - i must admit he was not my first choice either jo, but the powers that be obviously have their reasons and im sure one of them would be stability which i do think he brings to the table, he has never really had big money to spend at previous clubs so maybe he will surprise us?
Whatever happens its up to us to give him the benefit of the doubt and support him and the club mate because what else can we do..

2.) 27 Jun 2021 09:03:21
I think you summed it up perfectly TBJ

Sorry Ed but I just don't see how signing Benitez gives us any stability. If he starts poorly it will be more toxic than Chernobyl.

I will support the team 100% and will happily eat humble pie by the bucket load if he proves me wrong but sadly I hold out very little faith that its going to happen.

Stability? We're trying to drive a crane over a minefield.

{Ed025's Note - hes stoic and determined bw i will say for him, there will be no easy rides for the players i can assure you, maybe hes just what we need as the discipline at the club has been very poor and i for one will give him a chance mate..

3.) 27 Jun 2021 09:58:54
Truthfully as a supporter I've little option weather I agree with it or not, sure I could spend all day whinging about it on here but besides suddenly waking up an oil billionaire, and buying the club, I have to support everton and there desicions as I have done through thick and thin for the last 50 years.

If any one of the small minority represented on here or the banner hangers where to run this club, there would still be a section of unhappy fans.

Let the owner own, the manager manage, the players play, and our bit well we support.

{Ed025's Note - spot on wolf, its hobsons choice mate and i cant ever remember any board asking for supporters views on who they appoint..

4.) 27 Jun 2021 10:38:32
I agree with the point made above in a couple of posts - if things don’t go well, it will turn very toxic very quickly!

{Ed025's Note - lets just hope it doesn,t pierre, a few good signings and a decent start and the world will be put to rights again mate...thats what im hoping anyway..

5.) 27 Jun 2021 10:58:55
The points you're making about how toxic it will become very quickly if benitez doesn't work a miracle (that 5 others have failed to perform in the last few years) says an awful lot more about our fan base than it does about Benitez ability unfortunately. It's really an incredibly embarrassing situation that when we're thinking about a really important managerial appointment we're distracted from thinking about their credentials by concerns over how nasty, and how quickly, our fans will get.

{Ed025's Note - sadly your right davey mate..

6.) 27 Jun 2021 11:56:27
ToffeeDavey - if you've read any of my posts you will see why, from a football sense, I don't think Rafa is the man we should be signing

But, did you not see the reaction of fans throughout the country to the Super League> Not just fans who didn't support the teams looking to join but the 'top 6' own supporters who couldn't believe their owners were so stupid that they believed they could make decisions without considering the reaction of supporters

If you are so foolish to think our board should make the same mistake that's up to you.

7.) 27 Jun 2021 16:49:24
You're 100% correct TD. You talk about a miracle and the OP says he expects top 7 and a cup final. Personally I think it would take a miracle to get that. If we don't get top 7 and a cup final will the fans get on Rafa's back? If they do, that's pathetic. We need stability. Top 7 and good cup runs by year 3 is realistic. Getting rid of the crap players will not be done in one window more like 3 or 4.

8.) 28 Jun 2021 01:37:39
You were probably saying that FatChris when Martinez joined, when Silva joined, when Koeman joined, when Carlo joined

How many more 2-3 years do we have to waste before we see we keep making these mistakes? What's stability? We've been a mid table side flirting with relegation or Europe for too long

The only thing that's stable is that we keep getting it wrong.

9.) 28 Jun 2021 09:52:14
I'm a bit bemused BW. Are you saying you want a manager that'd guarantee instant success? Not sure that man exists. During the season you were very critical of me for being unhappy with the football and what I perceived to be a lack of progress as you were very happy with the 'progress' being made under ancelotti? Top 7 and a good cup run as Chris says would be steady progress from last season but now that's not good enough for you? Get the feeling you were seduced by Ancelottis name and reputation to be honest.

10.) 28 Jun 2021 11:45:21
You know TD maybe I was a bit seduced by CA and thought he deserved to grow on his the progress he had made with the signings of Allan, Doucoure, Godfrey, James, Olsen and Nkounkou. Maybe I was totally off the rails with by thinking add another couple of first team signings and strengthen the squad and we could be challenging for Europe which we only just missed out on last season or bring a domestic trophy to the club

Maybe though you should start reading the posts fully before commenting. Chris said top 7 or a cup next year would be a miracle in his opinion and it is more realistic to look at top 7 and GOOD (not winning) cup runs by year 3.

Maybe you think it is OK every time we get a new manager we go back to GO again and say let's wait another 3 years or until we get rid of or lose the next manager and start the cycle again. I think we should at least build on whatever foundations that have been left and move on from there not start all over again

I know there is no magic bullet, no guarantee of success but we have to push for it. We are not in the Olympics, We are not in football because it's the taking part that's important. It the winning that's important

It's good to see you back on the site. I'm sorry if I come over a bit confrontational at times. I will try and reign in my impatience but it's hard sometimes. I think we are both passionate and love the club. Long may it continue.

30 Sep 2020 06:50:12
What is everyone doing to watch the match tonight v West Ham? I'm reluctant to pay an additional £10 to stream via the Carabao website when I pay a lot already for my season ticket, Sky and BT subscription. Do I have any other options but pay?

ToffeeBlueJo

{Ed025's Note - yeah get a dodgy box jo..

1.) 30 Sep 2020 06:55:11
I did pay an IPTV sub but since lockdown and not going out as much I opted to pay sky and BT instead.

{Ed025's Note - its a rip off jo, i will watch it on BEIN sports or one of the sport channels mate..

2.) 30 Sep 2020 07:00:38
Cheers Ed for the replies, do you know of any free sites I could add to my firestick to watch it?

{Ed025's Note - i dont know how the firestick works jo but im sure one of the guys will and will be able to provide you with some information mate..

3.) 30 Sep 2020 09:02:32
Load Mobdro or LiveNetTV onto it
Both have global Sports segments where you can get Bein, NBCSN, UK Sites so you will probably find the match on these

A longer way would be to load Kodi from Kodi. tv onto it. Load a build from Diggz and then you have Sports Devil or Rising Tides to get the games. A bit more long winded but there are plenty of tutorials on the internet to help you

Good luck.

{Ed025's Note - nice one bw, thanks for that mate..

4.) 30 Sep 2020 10:27:15
Its on ESPN as well as several others mate.

{Ed025's Note - cheers GB..

5.) 30 Sep 2020 10:31:45
Cheers bw that’s much appreciated and i will do that later.

6.) 30 Sep 2020 11:19:15
Also Supersport mate.

7.) 30 Sep 2020 13:03:59
Get a nvidia shield and (important) , subscribe to a vpn.

8.) 30 Sep 2020 21:48:05
Great advice by far the best box ever.

Hey guys, i posted this a couple of weeks ago, it seens more daunting than it really is to sort out. Just give yourself plenty of time to sort it out and play around.
1 - install Kodi on Firestick or FireCube (i think Leia is the latest Kodi version to install) . Simply google how to install Kodi and you will find a tonne of step by step guides. Once again, don't be daunted by the amount of steps, it really is monkey see, monkey do.
2 - when Kodi is installed, you can either install specific 'addons' or a 'build'. I recommend installing a build, somebody has already gone to the effort of compiling the best available features into one place and made them cosmetically appealing. Addons are really only worth it to save memory space on your device, and you really need to have the experience of the bits you use to then want those specific addons only.
3 - There are lots of great 'builds' to choose from. But the most fluid and that works well from personal experience is called "no limits magic". Again simply google how to install it and follow the step by step instructions.
4 - if you do choose "no limits magic", simply navigate to TV, along the bottom navigate to 'The Crew' and select. Scroll down to IPTV and then you will be presented with a lot of links to click on. They all have a ridiculous amount of tv channels, you will find absolutely any sports channel you want. Fox, BT, Arena feeds, Sky, Bein, all kinds of channels from around the world. Not every channel will work 100% of the time so it's a little trial and error to find one that connects and is stable enough to watch. After a few go's you will know which links you're heading for without much effort. For the first time though, just give yourself plenty of time to experiment and pick your stream before kick off.

Sorry for the lengthy post but fingers crossed one or two of you are brave enough to try it out.

That was the best atmosphere at Goodison for years and I'm still smiling now. Every player have 100% and the fans reacted to it - superb, long may it continue. UTFT.

That report was clearly a wind up for all the geordie fans as he also stated he would have to play back up to Theo 😂.

Besic would do well at Bournemouth, competitive midfielder who gives his all. I wish him luck if he does go - some of our current 1st could learn a lot from his work rate.

It’s all nonsense no bid has been received and Sky are just making it up. Like ED002 has said previously the majority of rumours are totally untrue.

Has anyone actually seen this lad? I’ve heard he is a good prospect but I still have that worry in my mind that he is another Sandro. Ed002 can you give the lowdown on him please?

ToffeeBlueJo

{Ed002's Note - Yes he is seen as having a very good future but you need to remember that there has been an effort to get him out of Juventus to a stepping stone club (Ajax was first choice of course but rejected the opportunity knowing what was going on) and then on again elsewhere. It will also cause some ructions with an advisor to the club.}

Educate me then GB and Geoff, what did you see yesterday that makes you think Benitez is the right man for EFC?

I’m totally baffled, even the likes of Carragher doesn’t understand his tactics and he’s his mate.
