Gutted losing 2 points to an offside goal. Strangely though watching final score I expected it. We've been there before too many times this season for it to be unfortunate. Any news on Oviedo baby Eds?

I know exactly what you mean, I just knew they were going to score. So damn gutting, I knew we couldn't win even after we scored in extra time, I know that's very pessimistic but as you said we've been there so many times before.

I have a theory that our dismal season -Europa league aside - is all down to one thing . Blue goal nets! I've always hated them and can never remember us having a good season with them. I reckon that's why we pass across the pitch and then backwards because we can't see the target!

RM now states 2 clubs in for Sam Eto. that's why he was left out tonight. Pity that but great effort from the boys tonight.

Just read on ssn that Bainsey is out of the 2 England games with injury. Anyone heard anything?

1.) Yep apparently it's a hamstring strain, I heard he won't be back till earley December so there goes another one there is that many I heard there waiting on trolleys lol

Are we mathematically safe yet Eds? Just read that Bournemouth may miss out on automatic promotion if there's a 19 goal turnaround this weekend. So just need some reassurance. Forever glass half empty bluenose me. Great win Saturday though! Cheers

We are mathematically safe. The bottom two are down and third bottom Sunderland would need to win all their remaining games to overtake us, including the fixture against fourth bottom Leicester on the 16th May which would then mean Leicester couldn't overtake us. Either way we can't finish in the bottom 3.

Didn't get to the game as I work away, but my brother phoned on his way home, so depressed I thought it best to tell his wife to take his shoe laces off him. I watched motd and like everyone else, couldn't figure out why it was so easy for Chelsea.
Our closing down was like a pre season friendly, close to within 2 yards so as not to pick up an injury and then let them pick out a pass. The first goal being a prime example, plus Jags thinking to himself, shall I move out now and play Costa offside, ermmm ok then, too late! Bainesy did the same on the 2nd, admittedly he did catch him marginally off, but moved out way too late. 3rd goal McCarthy let the guy run right past him as if he had lead in his boots, Seamus unlucky though. 4th goal Matic with all the time in the world on the edge of the box, shall I go right, no I'll switch to my left peg and hit it with that. Jags and Buzz stick a leg out but half heartedly. 5th goal, McCarthy again chasing players but not with any urgency, watched his man play a one two stands there ball watching and his man runs in behind him and slots home. 6th Besic what was he thinking? Jags slips on his backside but calm finish from Costa. Positives, we scored 3 great goals, Rom was unlucky with the header off the bar and the move where Super Kev hit the post was an unbelievable save and a fantastic move. Some of our guys look like they need to run up and down the sand dunes at Southport more often, train harder, get fitter, play like its an honour to put that blue shirt on and not look for the next contract before slipping into holiday mode. let's start today! Come on you blue boys!

As we can't divulge our sources, the 'relective' newspaper reports chelsea set Rom's pricetag at £30 million. We were willing to go to £24 million. Make of that what you will guys
