Love this from Sky.

Headline: Everton 'agree £15m deal to sign Andriy Yarmolenko from Dinamo Kiev'

Copy: ssn understand contact has been made between the clubs over a transfer but no deal has been agreed.

What a joke!

We should print some of the stories made up from the papers after the window shuts just to prove how wrong they all were. especially the one from the scum about stones handing in a transfer request!!

He's agreed personal terms so just a matter of time now (from the Ukraine news agency)

So the players were looking to get a "run" together over the festive period. they've certainly managed that.

This is the worst I can remember in a long while. I've been a big fan of Martinez but something is seriously wrong here. Intervention required?

Clubs badges evolve over time - that's just the way things are. Personally, I didn't like our last badge - I don't see the need to actually have the word 'Everton' written on it - the whole thing was far to busy with too many elements making up an over-large cluttered design. My favourite was the EFC badge of the 80's.

I quite like the new badge (even though it still says Everton). OK so we've lost the wreaths and the motto. NSNO is still our club motto though - it hasn't been removed entirely - it will feature in some form on merchandise and possibly on the kit still (we haven't seen that yet).

All this negative opinion about the new club crest makes us look a laughing stock as a fan base. We claim to be the best supporters in the world and seriously, any excuse to moan about the running of our great club and everyone jumps on it.

The crest has changed - get over it. Get behind the club and support it.

BTW I'm a graphic designer with 16 years industry experience. Every new logo is going to mix opinion - people just don't like change.

1.) Unfortunately opinion isn't mixed its pretty unanimous that the new crest is utter tosh. On last look over 2000 negative comments on page, 300 + on the actual site and 8, 696 signatures on the petition. And it was only released yesterday!.

I'm not overly worried about the wreaths as yes crests evolve over time, I am however worried about the famous Everton beehive they've put on it. This will seriously affect finances as hardly any fan will buy merchandise with that monstrosity on it.

2.) I agree with Brighton toffee. I actually thoYes comin home now ught the old badge was quite tacky. The new one is better it would be great if the could put nsno into it.

3.) It is not the design as such I have an issue with, it is the quality of the badge. It looks like a snide childrens product from Kirkby market. At least the tower is now the right shape, I could never understand why the fence went around the middle of the last one. If the new badge used high quality embroidery with strong colours, I could live with it.

4.) No offence to you Brighton Toffee, but perhaps the fact that we always do "get over it and support the club" Is the reason why the powers that be seem to walk all over us every time they have a whim.

Over the past few years we have had little investment in the squad, so we "get over it and support the team, " the manager leaves, whoever they bring in despite opinion we will no doubt "get over it and support the team" once again.

This is different, we the people who buy club merchandise are expected to "get over it, " and buy something the vast majority not only do not like but actually seem to detest, our thoughts, opinions and feelings on the matter seem not to matter one iota to those who made this decision. In any other walk of life this would be marketing suicide, however, they are playing on our loyalty to the club, they EXPECT US to "get over it and support the club!"

If the vast majority who do not like the new badge refuse to buy anything with it on, that will have more effect than any petition or complaints, obviously the only thing these people understand or care about is profit, so if we refuse to buy and affect that profit then just maybe the next time they have one of these "bright ideas" they will actually consult the fans, and see what we think, not decide what they can dictate and force on to us because we will "get over it and support the club" even if we hate it!

With Brighton failing to win promotion, Gus Poyet could be looking for a new challenge. I for one would give serious consideration to him joining our great club.

Thoughts?

Shouldn't our main concern be that our final pre-season game; our only home game; against top European competition; is quickly turning into a circus!?

Do we not think that it might be better to let Lukaku sharpen his touch in front of goal a week before the season starts?

I thought we were meant to be "getting pre-season right" this year.

What about Remy, he looks to be falling down the pecking order?
