What's the update on the Ronnie Delia John Collins appearance at GP on Wednesday?

I understand that it probably has something to do with McGready and Gibson but any enquiries could have been tied up with a phone call.
Any further info?
Perhaps they were meeting face to face with the players persuading them in their best interests due to the forthcoming Euros.

Was Keano also with them?
If so this makes sense

It's about Mcgeady stumbling block is his wages but I expect a deal to go through before the window shuts.

Would love to see Gibson go on loan. Wouldn't like to see him sold. Everton stood by Gibson for years through injury. It would be great to see Gibson finally fulfill its potential with any club.

Imo Everton should be the club to benefit from Gibson if he does reach his potential on a consistent bases. It was Everton who helped him through the hard last 3 or 4 years. Seems only fair Everton benefit. Can't see us getting proper value for him if he was sold.

Yes all well and good about Gibson but Mcgeady never got a fair run out did he? But the lad was ripped apart on here never liked by our so called great supporters well fair play boys your wish will come true shortly he will be gone.

Well we are all hypocrites ed at some stage and I'm sure you would recognise that but he was never given a fair crack with us was he.

{Ed025's Note - possibly not stef, he seemed to be a panic buy to me, i have nothing personal against the guy and wish him the best of luck, but from an everton perspective he never fitted in, just one of them things i suppose mate..

Ed fitted in can you explain that mate from an Everton point of view or was he just an easy target.

{Ed025's Note - his performances were sub-standard stef which made him an easy target, giving the ball away cheaply and not tracking back did not endear him to the fans, you could hear the groans from the stands when he came on as a sub and lack of cheers when the team was announced if he was in it, im sure it was not nice for him and i suppose its an indictment of how supporters can turn on a player if they think they are not of the standard required or are not giving their all..

My mistake. I thought Gibson signed a new 2 year contract at the beginning of this season. Turns out he didn't. Do you know anything about that Ed?

It was definitely in the media that Everton were going to offer him a 2 year extension. Not sure why it didn't go ahead. Weather he didn't sign it or Everton ended up not offering it.

I'd definitely be in favour of Gibson staying for another 2 years at least. I agree Stef about McGeady. Didn't get a proper chance and was an easy target.

It is what it is and he should move on. As far as I know he has 2 years of his contract to run. Think its best to let McGeady move on.

Mcgeady can never be accused of not giving it his all, it hasn't worked out for him but don't know how anyone can say that he never give 100 per cent.

I totally agree Ed. But it seems a bit foolish to me to let him go just when he's through all his injuries and fit to play.

Maybe the medical team at Everton can see him getting in bother again. I hope that's the case because I'd hate to see us give up on him just when he was ready to give his all.

{Ed025's Note - he has had setback after setback NBTB and todays game is all about fitness and physicality, i feel for the guy but a club like ours cannot afford to carry passengers im afraid mate..

I know Ed, I've been very realistic with regard money with Everton. The way some people go on about buying players you'd swear it grew on trees.

He was a passenger since he arrived. That's precisely why I want him to stay. I think Everton should be rewarded for sticking by him.

The medical must foresee problems and that must be why he's going. I know were well covered in that position but Barry won't go forever and its good to have options with capable players.

If you live the lifestyle that its rumored Gibson leads its hardly surprising he keeps picking up injuries. Elite level sportsman these days need to be clean living, hard workers. Anything less means physical problems.
