Guardiola has finally opened up and said he wants to coach in England, c'mon Bill get the cheque book out. (I can dream can't I)

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - im not his biggest fan to be honest gene, he needs big money to operate and as you well know thats not our style mate..

Like all these top managers or coaches.they are good with money.the good ones are like Hughes,pulis and pardew, who do well with limited resources.

Not to mention, walk into teams that are Champions league winners, then move on in 3/ 3 yrs to another Champion winning team. Think most of us would have a chance of being successful then, along with the money at their disposal.

Hiya Ed (s) , Happy New Year and hoped you had a good one. Just wanted to ask if we were in for any Goal Keepers other than Marshall of Cardiff and Mandanda. Both are better than Howard (From what I've been told) , but is there anyone. better?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - the issue is with Howard, the talk of goalkeepers is because he is considering returning to the US, rather than because Martinez wants to upgrade on him. At the moment, the manager is hoping he will stay and the club are not actually pushing for a new keeper, the rumours are simply assumption because everyone else is on Howard's back. Personally, I think it will be the end of the season, that there will be any movement on this, unless Howard is a lot more set on leaving than I believe he is.}

I've just read that we are looking at deigo Lopez from Millan any truth in that?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - from what I have been told, it is him looking to find someone interested as he is out of favour there. His reps have been hawking round everyone for the last few weeks.}

Bill kenwright, has always said he would only sell to a new owner if he felt they had the interests of the club at heart, and he had refused offers from people whos motives he was unsure of, thus I hope the rumours about our two yanks are untrue.

A leveraged buy out, backed buy a hedge fund, this model would see money going out of everton, and not the major capital investment we had all hoped for, it would put the club in massive debt, from which we would never recover.
Not saying this is so, but the secrecy, and the wispers, should consern us all.

Regardless of what people think about Bill Kenwright he is a true Evertonian and I believe he would not sell the club to a group of investors who did not meet his criteria and consequently I believe that Bill will have done due diligence on the two Americans in question. Having said that one can only hope that Bill is pulling the strings and not some third party due to Bill's illness.

I agree about bill, however I would not blame him at all if he just wanted to get rid after the way he has been treated (chartering a plane immediately comes to mind) . I am sure that he doesn't need that kind of crap while he is fighting illness. Saying that, I don't think he would do that to the club he loves, just saying I wouldn't blame him.

Agreed
Why did the Swansea shareholder fan group knock them back?

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - Stupidity surrounding a suspicion that they did not want to (a) buy all shares in the club, just eventually get to a majority, and (b) that the potential owners would not spend like the Manchester City owners.}

thanks Ed for putting that to bed before all the doubters start "not wanting new investors"
