i bet all the anti kenwright mob are just waitin for martinez to be announced then they can plan their blag marches. I mean, come on, freddie flintoffs run ups are longer than them marches.

Believable13 Unbelievable4

If we end-up with martinez, the blue union are going to have to rent the grafton rather than a small bar. So much for bill listerning to the supporters.

Agree0 Disagree0

Anyone thought that vp may not want the job, don't know why poeple are so obessed with him, doubt most had heard of him before a few months but everyone seems to think he's a different level.

if not martinez who really is avaliable that would please everyone, its impossible

Agree0 Disagree0

Bill will not and has not listened to the fans because the majority of us said no to Martinez but low an behold the nxt manager is Martinez do one bill its time for you to move on

Agree0 Disagree0

Hey lads, just try and support the new manager. He's NOT going to take us down by any chance (look at the quality of the squad!). He's won with Wigan at Klanfield, emirates, at home against utd.
Just try and think what he is capable to do with our great club!
At least we didn't gat Stubbs, Weir or Neville.

Daily mirror says Everton gt a agreement to sign mcmanaman. If he was to go to Everton because he use to play for them at youth

Believable7 Unbelievable3

It says nothing of the sort

Agree0 Disagree0

The Blue Union are worse than Kenwright. I liked their nice plan for the football quarter. But that's all it ever is with them, an idea and fantasy out of nowhere.

Anyone reckon we should go for vydra and weimann?

Believable5 Unbelievable6

Weimann is a top player I bin saying it for month we probably get him for around 10/12 mil

Agree0 Disagree0

Reckon Weiman could be very good, think he's on a free!

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes love both players, both good youngsters which have been great this season!

Agree0 Disagree0

Weimann hasn't agreed contract either, vydra would cost about 5 mil as he is looking for a move to the prem, would be a very exciting partnership

Fellaini to Napoli and hamsik as part of deal

Believable2 Unbelievable15

And this despite Hamsik being more expensive than Fellaini will be! Some of us blues need to get real with our 'stabs in the dark' on here.

Lets get a manager in first eh, then we can start making up nonsense!

Silly season is upon us people!

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jun 2013 22:11:40
Also heard new tv deal will be used to clear debts and the fellaini and Baines money will be used as funds. With 30% of that to be used as wages. So expect one outstanding signing.

On another subject. With this extra revenue coming into the club do you think they will look to invest it in maybe developing the ground. Wish we had some idea the club has for the future. Just seems like we are standing still.

With the talk of the school going and the opportunity to create a new main stand at the Bullens road, wouldn't this be a good time start the process?

Also any idea what the mountain of sand that is at the park end is for?

Believable1 Unbelievable4

The pitch is being relayed.

Popeye

Agree0 Disagree0

They are re laying the pitch, its a new state of the art turf.

Agree0 Disagree0

The sand is for the new pitch buddy! LIAM!

Agree0 Disagree0

Did you honestly think a big pile of sand meant they were going to do something to one of the stands? takes a lot more than sand to build/extend a stand

Agree0 Disagree0

Its for naismith next year there doing him a sand pit to play in

hi ed. you know what really gets me so frustrated. Everton never ever come out and tell the fans what is going on. I have been a blue for 46 years and they never keep you up to date on what's going on, What do you think ed. {Ed025's Note - im with you mate, i would like a bit more transparency..

Agree0 Disagree0

The sand is the 800 bags compensation off united for moyes

Agree0 Disagree0

It's for kenwright and the board to bury there heads in they've used the last lot over the past six Months about moyeses new contract being signed

Agree0 Disagree0

Posted something a few days ago but it didn't get on. Everton have invested a million on a new pitch that will have holes for rugby sticks to go and we will have concerts on there. 100% fact.

Apparently the daily star is saying Everton have been given the green light to sign calum mcmanaman.

Believable9 Unbelievable10

That's just Whelan spouting off again. Apparently he says he doesn't mind Martinez bidding for Wigans best talent however Everton must pay the going rate.
We haven't even given Martinez the job yet.

Popeye

Agree0 Disagree0

The guy was immense in the Cup final and has impressed all season. I'd welcome him back with open arms. I just hope he's the only player we sign from Wigan should RM become manager.

Agree0 Disagree0

And Shergar is pulling a milk float driven by Lord Lucan.

Agree0 Disagree0

Some of the posters complain about Whelan saying too much too soon (and probably want our club to manage the info exclusively), while other posters complain that our club is saying too little too late (and are probably happy for info from any source).
Some posters get apoplectic about other clubs (e. g. DM now at ManUtd) supposedly wanting to sign our better players, while other posters want the prospective new manager to bring the better players from their old team (e. g. RM and Wigan's McCarthy, Maloney, McManaman).
It all goes to show IMHO that this forum covers a spectrum of opinion and that is what drives the banter and humour (the craic) that is so entertaining.
Cue the usual suspects with a "what was the point of that post?" response ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Where's he going to play? We have enough wide men. We need creative midfielder, and a goal scorer.

Agree0 Disagree0

IMO I don't rate any of the Wigan players we our linked with. The only 1 I would take. Is McCarthy put for no more than 6mil

Agree0 Disagree0

What was the point of that post? (sorry you did ask)

Agree0 Disagree0

I think he might end up at Liverpool

Agree0 Disagree0

According to te daily mirror Everton can sign mcmanaman. Fr a cut rise has that was the agreement. When he left Everton as a youth player

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't talk crap liverpool sign him don't think so has Everton would be in Pole position because he was they has a youth player and they would also get a cut prize on him has the agreement says

Reports in Portugal saying that Perieria has rejected a 2 year contract at Porto but he is forbidden to comment on his contract situation until the 12th June. In the statement that everton released last night they said that a deal was not imminent an talks ongoing. Could it be they're waiting until the 12th? I'm just making the link I've no idea if its true or not.

Believable11 Unbelievable11

I know we are cluching at strews, but, pass me a strew, PLEASE.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes, I read something similar although my interpretation was that the club chairman was not able to disclose the identity of the new coach until 12th June. Of course the new coach could be the old coach!

Agree0 Disagree0

Just read another article which says that he has declined to sign a new contract because he does not feel that the club wants to move forward-mention also made of Porto making anouncement of new coach on June 12th

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets hope so

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope so cannot get over the fact that we are going to give the job of a top 6 club to someone who just got relegated unreal

Agree0 Disagree0

And if my Aunt Fanny was a man she'd be my uncle.

Agree0 Disagree0

Kevin Campbell, who I respect saying RM will be a "breath of fresh air"! Plays really expansive football and our players will improve under him. will score more goals. should target top 4! what's going on, this bloke hasn't just won the C. L or Europa League, he's not coming with a CV full of good work in lower leagues or foreign leagues. or am I missing something here? His only target will be to win at least 3 or 4 of is first 5 games otherwise I think he may realise very quickly what he has got himself into, people will turn very quickly on this one, with his record he had no where to hide I am afraid.

Agree0 Disagree0

Have just translated from a Portuguese football site that Vitor Pereira is in fact to leave Porto. The club have said that no agreement could be reached and that he felt a lack of support was a main reason for him not wanting to continue, an announcement will be made in the coming days. there you are. he is available. and free! Rather give someone who has achieved something a change than RM.

Agree0 Disagree0

VP is leaving Porto as felt he had no support from the board, he is available!!

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jun 2013 21:09:20
Just seen this site which is an hour old saying Pereria is leaving Porto.

Sadly the translator is into Gibberish but here is the link.

Agree0 Disagree0

'' Kevin Campbell, who I respect saying RM will be a "breath of fresh air" ''

Kevin has the attacking bug :

Symptoms as follows 'all that matters is we play attractive football everything else is secondary'

Therapeutic treatment consists of lots of heavy defeats a drop in attendances and of course THE drop itself.

Even then it doesn't guarantee a full cure!

Stop getting worked up that we haven't bid for Negredo.
1) We haven't got a manager yet.
2) HE WAS A TARGET OF MOYES Moyes isn't here anymore so we might not be interested anymore! It's logic people ffs, chances are we won't be getting any of the targets we've heard about before because they were all MOYES' TARGETS

Believable12 Unbelievable4

Targets are not solely down to the manager, no club works that way anymore, take yourself out of the dark ages.

Agree0 Disagree0

How do you know then? Go on tell us.

Agree0 Disagree0

Toffee mike, do you think one man makes the decision? No a group do, the manager might point out who he would like, I would like Neymar, but am I going to get him, no, it's a business and the board that do the business will always make the decisions, not the man manager of the players, someone who is easily replaceable or in our case hard in finding a replacement

Agree0 Disagree0

1) To the first comment Not in the dark ages mate. BK would never of bought a player that Moyes didn't want. Moyes had his transfer targets and Bill would buy them. That's how Everton work and Bill's not going to change that and start buying players without the manager's consent and especially as we have no manager.
2) To the second comment, I don't, hence why I put "chances are" & "might not be interested" so read the post thoroughly first. Equally you don't have a f*cking clue who we're after. As I said in the first part of my response, transfers always went through Moyes, so seeing as he isn't manager anymore we MIGHT NOT be interested anymore.

Agree0 Disagree0

The only targets we'll be getting will people like Shaun Maloney on a free or something or Scharner. great isn't it. really enthused and looking forward to next season with optimism.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just goes to show how desperate many of us are when it comes to Everton - we're like addicts craving our next fix of gossip. How many posters have actually watched Negredo play at all - let alone watched him throughout the season - and are qualified to offer a proper evaluation of him? It seems that a name is mentioned as a possible past transfer target and we wet ourselves when another club is linked (unsurprisingly if the player is any good).
TheGhostOfTrophiesPast

Agree0 Disagree0

I didn't say I had a clue who were after fella, I just told you how it works seeing that you don't have a clue

Agree0 Disagree0

Wether he's even the boards target the chances of us having 15m are slim to no chance unless a cash strapped spanish agree for it to be paid over 20 years

MikeDeBlue

Agree0 Disagree0

And don't foret that you need actual real money to buy players.

Agree0 Disagree0

It gets worse for you I am afraid. Maloney will cost you £3 million plus, m he has 2 years left on his contract.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jun 2013 01:10:50
maloney won't cost us because we definitely won't be signing him

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jun 2013 16:42:30
Guys regardless of Manager in place or not, I would be very surprised if Negredo joins. A champions league club will come in for him. West Ham are just playing a PR game. It's like when Mewcastle offered for Rooney it just speeds the transfer up

Believable5 Unbelievable0

"M"ewcastle - was that spelling intentional? If so, ha ha - you're the cat's whiskers.

nice to see we are a making a mess of signing someone again we seem to find it very hard to sign anyone and anything a manager should be simple to sign as should a player but we seem to mess it up time after time other teams are signing top players while we are playing games with Wigan tut tut bk sort it out or get out. gibbo

Believable5 Unbelievable3

Every other club's fan forums has just as many posters disgruntled about their club and their failure to sign this player or their failure to win that trophy - we're not unique in that.

tv is reporting Sevilla have rejected a £14.5m bid from West Ham for Negredo. If this is true, then chances are they don't think they need to sell him anymore because of the £17m they got for Navas and he's now out our reach.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

West ham please, Carroll now negredo, and we play with pennies, god I hope we've got a war chest to buy players cause this could turn worrying!

Agree0 Disagree0

Or because they don't think West Ham are prestigious enough

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jun 2013 16:03:22
Hurry up Everton west ham are offering over £14 million for negrado. Just pay and get him fast. This is west ham ffs.
Jc

Believable2 Unbelievable6

Then he's already out of our reach

Agree0 Disagree0

Exactly, £14M? behave, we may have that once Martinez signs a nice fat contract ably assisted by Whelan then sells all our best players to fund "his vision for the club" whatever that is.

Agree0 Disagree0

So, our club should spend that amount on a player based on your extensive research of the player and your discussions with his agent and the player himself. I hope you get a finder's fee for unearthing this talent.
JaundicedJack

Agree0 Disagree0

West Ham will be linked with loads of big names this summer and sign none. Happens every year. The are worse than us for conning fans by bidding for players they have no chance of signing just to make it look like they are trying.

Agree0 Disagree0

Theres more strikers in the world that can do what he does, and chances some are cheaper aswell, stop acting like he's our must buy when he's never proven himself in the prem anyway, just see what happens

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jun 2013 15:59:47
West Ham have bid 15m for Negredo, looks like we're getting left behind already! BK sort it out!

Believable2 Unbelievable5

We can't afford that anyway

Mirror says that Whelan shouted his mouth off too quickly but a deal is close and will be announced today.

Believable21 Unbelievable6

04 Jun 2013 08:56:34
Martinez really? He jumped ship after guiding Wigan out of top flight football, ok he has had to sell any player worth a few mill or more but this choice ( if its true ) is not good enough, I think he will do well with moyes's side but the transition to his side scares me! Can he spot them like moyes? because we ain't got much more money then Wigan

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jun 2013 09:57:23
Do you honestly think many managers could have done a better job at Wigan without resorting to the tactics of Tony Pulis?

Agree0 Disagree0

Money is on Lennon! Hanging an announcement out this long, bit of co. waiting for him to arrive back from Ireland maybe?

Agree0 Disagree0

Whelan has shouted his mouth off early as Everton are still negotiating with Wigan for two of their back room staff. Everton can't announce the deal for RM until these men are signed aswell. Whelan trying to force Bill's hand into an instant compo agreement for the backroom staff aswell. Bill is having none of it hence the latest announcement and will play the long game to get the best price for the backroom staff aswell. This is my theory anyway.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jun 2013 12:45:04
an eye for spotting a player still lies with the scouts not the manager. if we keep the same scouting system, why would we be in trouble with the transition period between moyes' squad and the squad martinez will build? I would be much more concerned if he deploys the tactics of 3-5-2 to efc, when our tried system of 4 at the back has been so solid and effective for years gone by, especially now we have a 2nd outlet from fullback with seamus coleman to compliment the ever effective leighton baines. CraigHuytonBlue

Agree0 Disagree0

Depsite some views, it is so apparent that everyone posting here does not want RM. shame we can't get Bill to check this site out

Agree0 Disagree0

Plenty of managers could have done a better job. tony pulis style kept stoke in the league and martinez style definately wouldn't keep stoke up.
People need to get off the stoke are crap bandwagon. You think stoke would win a match if they tryed to play like barca?
I don't care how everton play, I just want them to win as many matches as they can. Frankly the so called 'good' possesion football the likes of liverpool play is so boring.

Agree0 Disagree0

Whelan now saying we can buy their players if we want and the price is right?!! Honestly I don't want anything to do with their players or their manager either! What so we take this bloke now we are going supplement Wigan coming back up by buying all their rubbish?? this is turning into a farce

Agree0 Disagree0

Dave Whelan did exactly the same thing last year when Liverpool were courting Martinez. The man is a t!t.

Agree0 Disagree0

If martinez does arrive very likely to bring mcmanaman and mcarthy with him in both for 4 million each.
