Ed considering you dont rate shane long who would be the alternative that we could get for 6-8 million. I think hes the best the we can attract. Sad but true {Ed024's Note - I never said I did not rate him, just that He's not worth 10m (like we'll ever have that much).If we could get him for 6m then I think thats within our range and a more realistic valuation.

Ed although i agree with you that long is not worth 10 million, he would be a great addition to the club, i've seen him play live for Ireland on numerous occassions and although he doesn't posses the greatest amount of skill in the world, the lad doesn't know when to stop and never gives up, he chases absolutely everything, and works himself silly, i think his attitude and work rate are something that would be fantastic at our club. he's a dam good finisher too. If he goes to the right club in time he will be better that Doyle, {Ed025's Note - i have no doubt, he is good player...but £10m....no thanks,

I'd imagine he'd be behind Saha & Beckford, and even possibily big Vic
With Hope coming through the academy in the next couple of seasons, do we really need Long? {Ed025's Note - we do need a forward..but,long...is not worth £10m

Moyes wants 7 more million from BK so that along with the Pienaar sale(3 million), Yobo(4 million), Vaughan(2 million) and Yakubu(4 million) he can afford to buy N'Zogbia for £10 million and meet Reading's £10 million evaluation of Shane Long. {Ed024's Note - We will never pay 10m for Long cos were skint and he's not worth it

Fair enough Ed, I've just heard a lot of rumours about Shane Long recently and I've heard we're one of the clubs interested.

Shane Long is worth £10 million {Ed025's Note - he would be worth it...if he could get us..15-20 goals.

I think long would be good, but not at 10 mill

Bainsey won't sign for city after clichy looks set to sign for them.
Everton looking to sign exciting nigerian striker Victor Obinna, 5-10mill. Billy set to join Zenit for 5mill.

Victor Obinna is a no go has already had talks with Stoke and looks set to sign for 1m so why would we pay 5m

1 obina is a free agent and 2 he has alrweady suigned for locomotiv mosco so your both wrong and 10m what are you on {Ed024's Note - excellent point caller

Obinna signed for Lokomotiv Moskow so this is 100% not true.

Rodwell staying put, moyes will sell fringe players to generate fund:

Penars and Vaugn gone 5.5mil
Yobo all but gone 4mil
Yak will go for around 4-5 mil
Moyes will then sell one of
Billy/Jonny (which ever one he gets an offer of close to 10mil for first) probally Jonny
this would give us 24.5mil

With this money will will buy Defoe and N'zogbia (dont know if i have spelt that right really cant spell but you get my drift)
these two player will cost around 17mil, with the rest moyes will buy a new keeper, and a replacement for which ever player goes out of Jonny or Bily

Im really sorry for this, as a club we talk about the number of fringe players we need to sell for x amount to save 1 player that would bring us the same amount of money in. When the season starts dont start moaning that we dont have a big squad.

Billy and Jonny will stay, Yak will prob stay on due to wages, Yobo deal looks shot down now due the match fixing in turkey. Stay Rodwell for 20 - 25M and buy in 3 new players that would improve the squad a) in numbers b) taltent

What do you think of this ed. because i saw in the Echo that rodwell was staying put and the stories this weekend where not at all true? {Ed024's Note - Everton FC and David Moyes are not putting Rodders up for sale, However money talks!!. SAF is Moyes best pal and a man u 20mish bid will secure the player. I would prefer to sell Yak(2m), Yobo(3m) and Billy(6m) added to our existing funds thought to be about 5.5m totalling 16.5m which is enough to get Defoe and nzogbia. Other signings will need to be funded by the board through cash injection or share sales!!

I would like to see this however i believe that if we do rake in that much moyes wont get all of it {Ed024's Note -I believe DM will get all the funds from player sales since Jan or he would have walked to Villa last month! He is loyal but no fool and BK knows he's the best manager in the league that we could attract

Needs to start soon then or another unsettled pres-season

Heard that city are going to offer a similar deal for rowell as they were going to offer for baines. Would love it if we did. would love it if we tried to get adam johnson off them. I think because of the ammount of intrest there is in Rodwell we will get more like 30mil for him though. the best deal we could get though i think would be Adam johnson + 15mil {Ed025's Note - there is no doubt...johnson is a quality player...but to get him..plus £15m...is very optimistic...but we can dream.
