That's a double :( :( from me Degs. Bit like when I was a kid and me mam would take me to toy shop to look at what I couldn't have. God she was hard.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i once got a good hiding for christmas twoold, things were that hard.. :)

Could we not sign deulofue permanently? We he have felli, victor and jelavic transfer money(40m), kenwright said the mccarthy transfer didn't come out of the felli money plus with the tv money and prize money for this season surely we should have enough to buy the lad

Agree2 Disagree0

Christ Ed025. I had it so hard I got a hiding off my dad for xmas and we were so poor I had to give him a hiding back for his present lol

Since when did this site become so much about spanking?! If you like a good hiding, then fair enough, but don't go sharing your sordid tales here. :) Although I hope Del boy gives Spurs a good hiding on Sunday. I mean your meaning, not mine.

guys, all the people complaining about the umbro deal, Nike owns umbro that's probably why we've done this, and if i'm honest Nike are trying to rebuild umbro up by showing our team as its bigger club wearing it, this is good and is probably more money than others are suggesting.

Believable2 Unbelievable7

I don't think they do anymore I think they sold Umbro last year.

Agree1 Disagree0

Stef's right, Nike sold Umbro and they were bought over by another American company who own Macy's forgot their name though.

I think that perhaps the supposed big news from today is that we've signed a 5 year kit deal with Umbro which is rumoured to be worth £35 mil. Personally, I don't mind what brand our kit is, so long as it's blue it's fine by me.

Believable15 Unbelievable3

35 mill would be over the 5 years which is 7 million a year. we apparently get 10 from nike a year! Who would make that deal? Why Oh Why Everton

Agree1 Disagree0

I was told that we only received £4 mil. every year from Nike.

Ed, how have we signed a new kit deal when we were supposed to get 10 million over 3 years from Nike starting 2012/2013 season, looks like at least doubling our money though but not exactly huge sums

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i dont know to be honest degs, i tend not to get involved in money matters mate as it courts controversy..

Well that's enough to pay Baines and Pienaar! No big deal really should be getting more than that!

Agree0 Disagree0

We don't get a penny from the biggest sportswear manufacturer on the planet. The previous deal was £32m over 10 years from kitbag regardless of how much merchandise is sold. Compare this with the RS £25m minimum pet season from warrior, Arsenal £150m over 5 years with Puma, Spurs £10m per season from under armour. No wonder we're getting left behind, commercially we're a joke.

When does the kitbag deal end

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought it still had 5 years to run ray and have seen no concrete evidence suggesting we're getting £35m from umbro. As far as I'm aware we're still tied in to kitbag unless we've somehow managed to negotiate a deal where we pay to terminate the contract.

The big news is that we have agreed a new sponsorship deal with umbro for the 2014-15 season. Nike didn't last very long did they?

Believable6 Unbelievable0

I'm not surprised last 2 years terrible kits really disappointing

The reason we haven't renewed the nike(kitbag) deal is not only because the designs were so basic a primary school child could have produced them, but also the deal was literally pants(no pun intended). We received the same amount of income irrespective of whether we sold 1 shirt or 1million. As a club we sell a lot of shirts, hence the income we received was less than that of previous years. Not also to mention we were hoping to get quality such as man u get with their shirts (watermark of old trafford printed into the back of the shirt) instead we were snubbed by nike and given their hand me downs with kit bag who could not design a decent kit if their life depended on it!

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe it's best to treated as a valued partner instead of a near forgotten 'not in CL so less focus on maximising their opportunities' . which let's face it, as far as the PL is concerned is what we are to 'Nike'!

However from our side of things whatever the financial arrangements were.

'Nike's designs have been less than impressive . i.e. they add a sleeve band or two . then tend to run out of ideas ZZZZzzzzzzz!

Hi Ed. Was wondering if Coleman and Alcaraz would be back for Tottenham. And if any of the other injured players are close to return.? Cheers.

Believable0 Unbelievable2

{Ed025's Note - most of them are nearing fitness QB, although not match fit, coleman may be another week away though mate..

04 Feb 2014 14:07:23

And who is funding that? "Cough cough 'bull' cough"

Coleman was on the bench on Saturday so would expect him to be fit for Sunday. Wont have lost much match fitness

Believable2 Unbelievable2

. apparently, we very nearly signed rodwell back from man city on loan during deadline day. It only didn't happen because there move for Fernando fell through. Also, as part of the deal Barry would of signed on permanently to enable us to keep within the rules of number of loan signings allowed.

Believable11 Unbelievable10

Glad we did not he is always injured.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well we can't borrow more than one player from a PL club. We can't borrow more than 2 premier league players, so how close were we really?
Dave M

Agree0 Disagree0

Apparently Barry was going to signed on a permanent deal to allow us to take Rodwell on loan.I am delighted we didn't get him and for the life of me can not understand why we would of even been interested in the first place. He is constantly injured and that would of meant us having signed an injured Traore and a soon to be injured Rodwell.
