Id rather we got neither

Agree1 Disagree1

Let's face it. We won't be playing with two number 9's, so as a backup or variation to Lukaku, would Hernandez be better than what we have. Yes. You would then have 3 strikers for 1 position at a time, Naisy can play rotation in his best position behind the striker as a more defensively sound option to Barkley. I would have him and given Kone went for 6 a year ago, 8 Mn would be a steal. Unfortunately this won't happen anyway.

Agree0 Disagree0

If it's truly a fire sale at United like the press say. buy one, get one free.

martinez to put in a 8 million bid for cleverley

I can't sleep with the heat as it is, don't start on the nightmares now

Agree0 Disagree1

In my opinion I think cleverly has a lot to pffer he did not get to his maximum potential with his years at man utd. Martinez has that ability to bring the best out of players.

Agree2 Disagree1

Can't se this deal happening, surely we don't need another cm, the money will be better spent strengthening the attack

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed025's Note - im with you fozz

Regardless of whether people rate him or not, where exactly would he play. We seem overloaded with central midfielders as it is.

Im sure he would do a job as backup waterboy for the fella who cleans the kitmans shoes, on loan like

Agree0 Disagree0

You not think he passed potential ability already ac?

Agree0 Disagree0

''Im sure he would do a job as backup waterboy for the fella who cleans the kitmans shoes, on loan like''

That's one hell of a tall order Swan!

It might work if we get them drunk first :)

Didn't any of you see him play under RM at Wigan?
The boy played out of his skin. I'm sure Roberto thinks he can get him to that level of play again.

ed25; only get to hear odd bits, but, was told Guillaume hoarau is back under consideration, as a back up striker, do you know if this has any legs?

Believable3 Unbelievable4

{Ed025's Note - not that i am aware JCW..

Is forrest any decent ed07?, search dunction won't work on this phone so can't see if you have answered about him already

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - He's very inconsistent and injury prone. He has speed to burn when he's playing but he misses too many games with niggling injuries plus he has a long-standing sciatica problem. He's just not progressed in his 4/5 years in the first team and has caused a few off-field problems as well. Basically I'd be over the moon to see him leaving Celtic, Swan.}

Cheers ed, hopefully we won't sign him

i wonder if young Gerry from Barca might be coming back as he hasn't been given a squad number yet at Barca for the new season! also I would like to see another striker come in Troy Deeney might be worth a shout what do you think Ed?

Believable2 Unbelievable6

{Ed025's Note - deeny is not up to it for me daz, and i expect gerry to stay at barca mate..

Look out for Celta Vigo's number ten (Nolito) on Wednesday. Everton scouts were at Carrow Road Friday night to watch him.

A newspaper reckons atsu deal is not dead and can still be resolved and then Martinez will look to bring in another striker ( probably Traore I would assume)

04 Aug 2014 13:36:42
The problem with the atsu deal is over him going the African cup of nations, I hope we're looking for some1 els as well because kone could end up going as well there we are short up top if we get Injuries

Believable3 Unbelievable2

And if we sign traore, we would possibly lose Atsu, Kone & traore for Africa Nations?

Ok here goes, I brought you the news Atsu was definitely not joining Everton a day before Sky or anyone else knew. I do not claim to know about transfers however I know about this one. Atsu would have been a great fit for Everton as an Upgrade from Deolefeu but there is no chance of this deal happening.

Believable6 Unbelievable10

What went wrong?

Agree0 Disagree0

Well are you going to explain why, and how you know. Or are you just waiting for everyone to go wow you were right?

04 Aug 2014 12:05:25
Well that's bad news, but thanks for the info m8 and yes you were the first to break the news if anything changes let us no 👍

Agree0 Disagree0

Great news. Atsu is an average prospect at best.

Agree1 Disagree0

Not fussed one bit.

Agree0 Disagree0

Upgrade from Deulofeu? Haha. Sorry lad Atsu couldn't lace Del boys boots

Agree1 Disagree0

Are you serious? Atsu is much more of a complete player at the moment, cracking crosser of the ball chips in with his fair share of goals & assists as well. Gerard more of a raw prospect who will develop, but Atsu is a more complete player at the moment.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Aug 2014 18:04:33
Least doofy loofy was loveable with his ickle step overs and boss celebration, atsu looks like drenthe on steroids

Agree0 Disagree0

Very serious. Del boy is a product of Barcelona youth systems. He's Spanish, who have won several international honours and he trains with messi. Atsu is Ghanaian other than that what can we say about him. He's a nobody compared to del boy. I rest my case. Drenthe on roids nice one Swan lad.

Apparently the snag with the loan signing of atsu is who is paying his wages why he's at the African cup

Believable3 Unbelievable5

04 Aug 2014 09:46:54
surely this can be sorted, we are only talking £150k

Atsu to be confirmed tommorow and everton are linked with colombian striker mario yepes who is a free agent following his release from Atalanta

Believable3 Unbelievable12

Mario yepes is 38 why would we want him

Agree0 Disagree0

Yepes is a defender mate, would have him her in a heartbeat though, great on the ball . Very aggressive and good at set pieces.

Agree0 Disagree0

Isn't he a defender as well?

Agree0 Disagree0

Yepes is a 38 year old centre back

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes he is a defender or should I say was a defender as he retired after the world cup aged 38.

Agree0 Disagree1

Yepes is a cb mate.Old, too slow.I prefer to extend Distin career instead of signing him.
