I think Foeman has every right to criticise O'Neill and McCarthy this is the second time this season McCarthy has tried to play when not fit and against the advice of the Everton medical staff. With the loss of Schneiderlin, Coleman and Fumes we are restricted in finding replacements that would have been less of a problem if McCarthy was fit. He obviously does not take Everton seriously but is happy to pick up his wages every week. Time for him to piss off I'm backing RK
Wellzee.

Totally agree Stef. You can't say in one breath that the conversation is for the medical team and in another start having ago on Twitter. Please Ron just meet up and get it sorted.

Got to back our manager on this. Not the first time this has happened with JM and Ireland, when will they learn? He should have not been in the squad and certainly should not have been in the starting line up. RK had every right to make a song and dance about it but the response from O'Neill was highly embarrassing, trying to shift the blame to EFC. I'm not a fan of twitter, as it goes, but we are in an era of instant information and if he can rebuff the ill-informed reasoning/ accusations from the ROI camp immediately via twitter then so be it. I think JM will now be on his way come the summer, and rightly so if he wants to create scenes between club and country.

Is it just me or do O'Neill's comments contradict itself. He implies that McCarthy has been overloaded since pre-season and yet he still insists on picking him for the national team every time when he is only just coming back from injury and hasn't played any competitive footy. It seams to me O'Neill doesn't care about the player and just wants players on the pitch so he doesn't lose his job and then let's the club worry about any resulting injuries.

On the new stadium, reading all the reports its rumoured that it will cost around £300 million. Then I read that the Oakland Raiders are moving to a new stadium in Las Vegas which will cost around $2 billion! Just wondering if we have any architects or financial whizz kids who can explain why there is such a difference, if both stadiums are to be 'State of the Art' and seat around 60,000 fans, Thanks.

{Ed025's Note - las vegas is prime real estate brace it wont be the price of the build but the price of the land mate..

01 Apr 2017 10:25:31
Would also be to do with the build, land is really expensive there but then so is everything else labour materials etc etc and even if you ship in from elsewhere to save a buck or two on labour you still pay more than elsewhere due to transportation and accommodation. 💰💰
Plus in the US they love things to sound more expensive so exaggerate the cost here we like things to appear more affordable ☺.

I know nothing has been officially announced but does anyone else think we are under selling ourselves if we only build our new stadium at 50,000 capacity.

01 Apr 2017 07:37:07
Not really mate, providing it is built in a way that means we can expand the capacity when our fanbase grows. We still want the place to be full, we don't want to be like City in the Emptihad. Then again we could do a West Ham and lower our ticket prices to fill a bigger stadium.

Surely a bigger stadium with lower prices is the way to go, who doesn't spend another 10-15 quid once inside the stadium on food and drink (it's expensive stuff and i'm a fat boy :).

I think we may see a huge benefit in not playing Jags for a large part of this season now that Funes Mori looks to be out for the rest of the season too, jags is going to have much more left in the tank now he's going to be needed for the last 9 games. I'd play Holgate at RB cos the lad does get forward at times not like coleman of course.

Think Holgate will play in a back three.

Vint gone now Adams after a week.
Whats going on at the Academy?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

31 Mar 2017 07:43:22
According to the telegraph, vint wasn't liked very much and some of his methods were questioned by coaches, players, etc. Mainly because he came from athletics background and had very little football knowledge.
As for Adams, no one is really sure what happened. As a club we have always provided a good conveyor belt of talent regardless of staff so I can see this continuing as normal.
