The supporters aren't helping. The game against limasoll. The atmosphere was dead. It was as if the away supporters just showed up. Bitch and moan on here and to your mates whatever. But when it comes to the games we need to be chanting. If we don't it adds an enormous amount of pressure on the players. Constricting the flow of creativity and playing confident football. People may think they are doing right by not chanting and showing the management and players they aren't happy.

But end of the day it really isn't helping the 11 on the pitch. I know its hard to sing at the top of our voices when you're watching utter crap. But it's what we need to do. Get behind the boys get some confidence back in the team and give them some reassurance we still here, we still love the club and we right behind them all the way.

Been thinking this for months. The players don't play with confidence as they're are scared stiffless of getting a rollocking from the fans.

Chaps, the atmosphere has been on the wain (apart from odd game) since DMs time. but it's amplified recently. Expectations were raised after RMs bumper season. Again under koeman, and following the summer spending spree, expectations rose further again. it's a little like a series of false starts. a lot of us remember glory days. and witnessed them but a lot of fans only ever heard the stories. it's pure frustration. so I can understand it. but it's a viscous cycle and doesn't help at the game. in fact it's almost embarrassing. Regardless of form if u go the game fans need to get behind the 11 lads on the pitch. and stop the booing. or go and support an other team.

I have been moaning about the poor support for a few years now. Goodison has become toxic, for me it has happened since our attendances have risen. I think it's due to a new generation of fans who have never seen us win anything. (For a reference point I have only seen us win the FA Cup, and I was 7 back then) . However, you can't blame the fans for being quiet when you take into account the performances recently, even considering the additional expectation. For me the buck stops with Koeman and his stubborn tactics, and of course the players.

The atmosphere is waning everywhere in football. I grew up watching Everton during the late 80s and 90s and the game has changed dramatically not necessarily for the better with commerciality and global branding being the main objectives. My mates are United fans and last match they where told off for singing in the stands this is a symbol of modern day football.

You need the performance to be better to get the crowd going, backwards, sideways boring football that is so slow and lethargic it puts you in a trance.
If you go to a boxing match and both fighters are slow and cagey you wouldn't cheer them on so why would football be different, the performances we have had so far we might as well watch cricket!

To the original post. completely think of the opposite of everything u said. We are fans an we want what we pay for I personally paid over £1500 to go to Atalanta I go every week. When we are paying are on we'll earned money an we are getting performances like we are. We have every right to moan an he frustrated and it's not just aimed at the players it starts from the top down. I think Highly of koemans reputation and would love to give the benefit of the doubt but it's hard when we as a team as a squad as a clue we look lazy we have no direction no purpose. Things. Red to change an change quick. The Bournemouth game was the nail in the coffin for me and I think everyone at the club felt the same. Koeman looked like a man who had had a warning in work that if he doesn't improve he will be sacked and he knows niasse saved his skin. Look back at the reaction when we scored big dunc to koeman. But this goes way deeper than that. unless we change thins an do it quickly we're in for a long hard season. From the optimisium of the beginning of transfer window to the reality of now it feels worlds apart. we need pace an the youth are the only hope we've got of offering this. Youth won't turn it round but it can't do any worse tha. The current. an breathe. come on Everton these are rubbish 😀😀😀.

Rules are killing the game as well, nothing better than a good solid tackle to get the crowd pumped. Most tackles are penalised now even when good, for one rule or another, then add the refs crap performance and we have a uninspired crowd that the team can not even get going with such poor performances.

Combination of everything.

We're not getting paid to go and cheer, Everton fans are proper fans, not like half of Lpool an Newcastle fans with the scarves, we go to watch football and react accordingly, give us passion and good football and Goodison will rock, give us miserable rubbish and expect the same in return, the players/ manager are earning 1-8mil a year, but it's the fans fault for not being blindfully exstatic?
