Actually a Brazilian. Right back. Has had so many injuries it's untrue. Probably brought in by Gibson to make his injury record seem good.

By reputation, a very good player, who has just been very unlucky with injuries, perhaps, his luck, and ours, is due to change on that front.

Lets hope so JCW100. Would be welcome addition to fill the right back position along with Coleman and Hibbert or Browning. Hopefully Gibson and Oviedo get some luck too and remain injury free. Kone is doing very well, not only staying injury free, but playing good stuff and is scoring and creating chances.

Looks like Martinez is building a competitive big squad to fulfil his European ambitions. Certainly if we had few injuries there would be fierce competition for places. I also like the way Martinez is going about it. Seems shrewd with his signings so far.

His name is Felipe Mattioni. He has had 44 appearances since 2007 but only 10 in the last 5 years

Meant to be a decent player but, during the last four or five seasons, he has hardly played a game. I'm all for giving players a chance but he has damaged the anterior cruciate ligament in both knees, keeping him out for 2 years. Will be very hard for the lad to get up to speed with the rigours of the premiership. Think we should concentrate on bringing through one of our youngsters rather than take a chance on someone with an injury history such as this player

You could be 100% correct spudv. All the facts about the player suggests you are. I think he's worth a punt. Just have to make a tailored contact for him. One year with option for more at the end of it. Or pay as you play. Something like that. We haven't anything to lose. Plus right back is one of the few positions we have very little depth.

I'm very happy with the approach Martinez has towards transfer's. He thinks outside the box as to how to get value. let's face it we haven't £100's of millions like the 2 Manchester clubs to throw around.

I get what your saying spudv could be waste of time. We might be better off spending time on one of the younger players.

This lad is going to cost nothing all round. Nothing to look at, nothing to sign, and, seeing as he's unemployed I would presume nothing to talk about in wages. All those nothings add up to nothing to lose. We signed a crock named Peter Reid once, turned out alright.
