Not sure how true this is, but my uncle works with a mate of Tony Bellew, apparently Bellew has told his mate that Rooney has been in talks with with Everton for 6 weeks or so about a deal. I'm not sure how true this is about the 6 weeks but it seems plausible. I've heard this rumour a few times, as was told by a steward at duncs testimonial that Rooney would sign this summer. Plus if united sign ibrahimavic with Rooney that's 2 players costing them nearly £500,000 a week in wages. It ain't too farfetched.

Spoke to a couple of people who openly questioned Wayne about this and his answer was a definite NO. Then joked he may come back as manager one day.

. NSNO reporting tonight that we're considering offering Manuel Pellegrini a 2 year deal with a 12 month possible extension. these reports have filtered through from Italy this evening.

I hope not never liked him and we need a younger more hungry manager what's the point if we only want a short term manager got to be doing all this again in a year or 2.

Agree4 Disagree7

30 May 2016 23:12:48
I think a 2 year deal would prove quite a shrewd business move, because if he performs well he'll increase the reputation of the club over the next 2-3 years and we'd be able to attract a bigger name when his contract expires. If he tanks then we can get rid in a few seasons. I'd be quite happy if this happened.

Wasn't a big Pellegrini fan but he bowed out gracefully after Shitty embarrassed themselves with such poor behavior, finding a replacement for him before even firing him.

He still led them to CL semis and has decent pedigree

Emery still 1st choice but I'm behind whomever we get
IN MOSHIRI WE TRUST.

31 May 2016 06:54:18
I have to agree Gibbo when you look at it, there is quite a lot of changes they are looking at and whoever we bring in will be a Head Coach from what I am reading and we are also looking at a director of football, so like the set up Koeman has at Southampton and De Boer has, even Emery. Am sure even the likes of Mancini and Simeone, plus Pellegrini has worked this way in the past.
Hopefully that model would see us act quicker and more decisively in the market for recruiting players etc.

Everton are considering the appointment of Manuel Pellegrini as their new manager on a two-year deal, according to reports in Italy.

Italian news site Calciomercato has alleged that the Chilean is intrigued by the proposition of making the Blues a team to fear again, and that he is prepared to hold further talks with majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri in the coming days.

Pellegrini, 62, was recently replaced as manager of Manchester City after it was announced back in February that Pep Guardiola would be taking over at the Etihad Stadium.

Pellegrini had been linked with the managerial vacancy at La Liga side Valencia, but the Spanish outfit opted to bring in Paco Ayestaran instead.

And in an interview published on Monday in the Guardian, Pellegrini stated that he would consider retirement if he did not find a football club that would suit his needs.

However, the former Malaga and Real Madrid boss believes that taking charge of the Toffees could be a project that he is interested in, and that he could be enticed into signing a two-year contract with the option of extending said deal by a further 12 months.

Pellegrini is one of a number of candidates vying for the vacant position at Goodison Park following the sacking of Roberto Martinez nearly three weeks ago.

Ex-Ajax manager Frank de Boer, Sevilla head coach Unai Emery, former Everton boss David Moyes and Southampton's Ronald Koeman are all also in the frame to take over on Merseyside.

Hi Ed is there any truth that we have enlisted Jorge Mendes to assist in the manager recruitment, read he used to be Emery's agent and Moshiri has asked him to assist sealing the deal!

Believable1 Unbelievable1

{Ed025's Note - that has been suggested in the press ST but how true it is im not sure mate..

30 May 2016 22:19:34
Thanks, like with most of these stories you can see it possibly has legs but then you do wonder if it's just the press making up a new story to keep selling the papers 😳.

Any updates on Lukaku's transfer out of Everton Ed's? Seems quite intent on leaving but does anyone know who too? Would love to see him back at Chelsea.

Are Everton interested in any Chelsea players? Quite a few to come back from loan, likes of Marin, Moses, Van Ginkel etc.

Cheers.

Believable1 Unbelievable3

{Ed025's Note - i think he will go to PSG adam but chelsea are in with a shout i suppose, we dont want any of your crap though mate.. :)

30 May 2016 18:24:14
People are behaving as though his leaving is a foregone conclusion, just like they were with Stones. Depending which manger we get Lukaku may be told to shut it and honour his contract!

Agree2 Disagree1

30 May 2016 19:05:00
Why would we be interested in your loan players? If we're in a position to sell a 25 goal 23 year old striker it will be for big dollar. Do you honestly think you could sweeten the deal with players who can't cut it with a team that finished 10th?

Honestly, some fans.

30 May 2016 18:36:25
well said ed why would we want chelseas crap plus why would he go there they are no great shakes and are not in the champs league so adam if your looking for any crumbs of comfort from us ye wasting ye time ok my old cockney sparrow hows chas n dave these days.

I am sorry but once a player wants to go and he obviously does we have to get rid ASAP. On the pitch on last game he was talking about how he wanted the lads to start well next season. He has been planning a move for ages.

Agree1 Disagree0

30 May 2016 20:43:16
Only at the right prize he won't go for anything but top dollar does not matter how much he wants out, he agreed to the contract. End of moshiri should say unless we receive X amount your staying put.

10th. Previously we were champions mate. Just a blip. Not cast offs anyway. Young players with potential. You're club hardly setting the word alight now are they? Do you not think Moses is an upgrade on Lennon? And Van Ginkel not better then Barry? Really?

Agree2 Disagree2

{Ed025's Note - absolutely not adam!...moses has had more clubs than jack nicklaus and been ditched by the lot, van ginkel is as effective as an ash tray on a motorbike mate and if he cant get in any side before JO mikel then he should be playing in the highland league..

30 May 2016 21:22:10
We have our own youngsters coming through though. id rather give dowell, henen, Walsh, ledson and tarashaj a go before looking to loan moses or van crinkle cut.

10th with that squad and that manager is not a blip it's an embarrassment. Moses better than Lennon- no chance and rip van winkle is poo and deep down you know this.

Adam is the product of 'sudden success' and probably thinks Chelsea have a traditional winning mentality going back to the year dot,

Sudden success? Really? Born in 1984 raised as a Chelsea fan since day 1. Seen the crap times, seen them through, seen the highs and the lows. Been here before Roman and will be here long after he's gone too.

Barry is too old and too slow. Slows your play down a lot.
Lennon has no end product. Can run fast but that's about it.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 May 2016 09:39:32
I cannot see any of our big names having any transfer activity etc before we appoint a new manager or before the end of there participation in the euros and I'm sure they will want a holiday as well before making any decision!
All these rumours, stories, suppositions are just the press selling papers!

Agree0 Disagree0

31 May 2016 11:56:40
Moses is inconsistant, not the best tram player and is a defensive liability. Tactically he is a tumor to a side. Lenno worls hard, widens play, is incredibily quick and hard working and soes add something to the team. Barry is still a very good player, defensively, tactically, positioning and can play a killer pass. Van ginkel no just no. With these comments on here youd give matt hayes a run for his money lad.

Funny thinking everton just take outcast players that are not realising there potential if we sold a star young striker. Nothing special about them just part of chelseas monopoly of young players without nurturing them. Still laighing abput moses hahaha. Will have to look fpr your posts when i need cheering up. Trying to buy a steak with poor cuts of chicken.

At the boxing at goodison, seen big dunc spoke to him for 2 mins, asked like every other person who he'd like personally he said, frank de beor, and bally (left bk to us ) he said the same, thinks highly of him and said he be a better choice than koeman, but said he thinks it be announced 1st june wed. id like franky boy myself . but knowing us it prob be decided a week before the season. this manager lark killing me like every other blue, its like waiting to be sentanced.

Believable4 Unbelievable10

30 May 2016 14:21:45
. I spoke to big Dunc too and asked him what colour I should paint my toilet to which he responded pink the same colour as my wife's knickers and that pig flying above Farhads return flight home from Milan! ;)

Agree7 Disagree5

30 May 2016 14:57:51
Was it salmon pink, nice colour, listen it came out of duncs gob, not sayin its him but that's what they both said, bally played with de boer at rangers, and to be fair he did say de beor waiti g for Barcelona even if its in 2 or 5 years.

Agree0 Disagree4

30 May 2016 15:09:52
. fair enough. but it won't be FDB. & it's not up to big Dunc either. he's not the man that Farhad wants. & I'm afraid billionaires get the men they want so it's more likely to be Koeman, Emery, Pelligrini or someone that hasn't even been mentioned yet mate.

30 May 2016 15:21:07

Agree2 Disagree0

30 May 2016 16:04:43
Soli i agree what your sayin, but he's opionion doesn't mean its him, he could of said simeone, koeman, audrey roberts ( pelligrini) just his and others opionions, id love simeone, really would, but i agree with money talks.

Agree0 Disagree3

30 May 2016 16:14:42
Good info Dan and don't get soli sarrcy response. Ball has already said he thinks fdb as he played with him before and thinks he would be good and maybe dunc is just siding with his pal but still interesting.

Agree4 Disagree4

30 May 2016 18:07:45
I really hope we don't get Simeone, can't stand the bloke. FDB is the one I'd like at the moment, purely on his track record with youngsters coming through at Ajax. TBH I'm still reeling after the boxing last night with Big Dunc giving an interview!

Thanks Ed. What are your thoughts on Mancini and the likelihood of it happening?

Believable2 Unbelievable1

{Ed025's Note - i like his enthusiasm craig but feel that at this juncture he has to be considered an outsider mate..

30 May 2016 12:50:07
I agree an outsider mate, I don't know why but something tells me that's what the next manager will be, somebody unexpected and hardly discussed, a complete shock!

Hi Ed. Do you know anything on the manager situation? Remember when the yank takeover was 'a done deal' and then, out of the blue we were announcing Moshiri. Nobody had a clue about that, not even a sniff and i'm thinking the manager appointment will go the same way. We always do things quietly and to me, if names are being banded about then they're not likely to happen. It's all media hype, none of the names have come from the club. Just wondered if you had any sensible inside info. Thanks in advance mate.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed025's Note - the club do keep their cards close to their chest craig but i feel the names linked are more or less true, there could of course be a wild card who comes out of the blue but who that will be mate is unclear at the moment..

30 May 2016 09:16:00
Hi Ed how many years are left on lukaku contract? I don't like the way he's decided were he's going to play next year but if he still have him for a few years shouldn't we bring him back down to earth and tell him we decide what happens next not him. I personally would want him to go just because of how disrespectful he has been towards us, but we would miss his goals. That being said who would you like to replace him is there anyone we've showed interest in or is everything on hold due to there being no manager. Cheers.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - he has 3 years left i believe kirky, maybe his attitude will change when the new manager comes in because if he leaves it will be a massive hole to fill, we have been strongly linked with janssen who looks very good but how he will cope with the step up to the prem is anyones guess mate..

30 May 2016 12:17:16
I think whoever the new Manager is should make a statement of intent and get rid.
Send a message to any other cowboys that if you are here, or if you come here, you do as you are told, effort is not negotiable.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - we have always been famous for that frank and we need that back mate..i agree..

30 May 2016 12:45:49
I would agree but if we just got rid it would just look like we are giving in to his demands personally I'd say yes we are going to sell you, its £60-65mil and NO its not going to be Chelsea.

30 May 2016 12:58:36
Agree ed. Annoyed with his and daddys antics but he would be difficult to adreplace. Would rather us get a striker while rom was still with uus like janssen so he has less pressure and more time to settle in. But i think he's as good as gone unless we perform well in market and get solid manager before he left.
