Just read something very interesting on another site that investment is very close from Abu Dhabi, it says it is not sure if it is for a stake in the club or for the new stadium. Pinch of salt I think however would be nice!

I think if its someone investing In the new ground it will be very difficult to sell the club for player investment so there won't be much moor money to spend on players if it is investment I think it has to be both players and ground ie all out buyer

Heard this on tuesday morning apparently the rumour is coming out of the city.grbefc

{Ed025's Note - come on city!.. :)

How much money do you think we actually have to spend? I'm hoping at least £25,000,000 if we get into either european competition, however I am aware that is unlikely.

Believable9 Unbelievable6

{Ed025's Note - not unlikely at all biruy, i expet around £30m mate..

Cheers ed, how much can a team expect to make from playing in the Europa League? It must be a decent amount.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - its not you know mate, champions league is the money spinner, the europa is very poor relation..

1.3 million base fee for group stage, about 100 grand a point then, 400 grand group win 200 grand 2nd.200 for last 32 and last 16, 450 for 1/4, 1 mil for semi and the runners up 2.5 mil and 5 for the winners.you really have to win it for decent money.thats all in euros btw.

I've identified a beautiful plot of land to build my dream 5 bedroom house. Just one problem, can't afford it.
EFC/Council have identified a site for a new ground, just one problem, end of please.

Believable8 Unbelievable7

I think there is investers in the waiting Mushy there just waiting till Efc get the go ahead before they commit keep the faith man.

Agree2 Disagree2

How many people do you think would pay to go in your house?

I couldn't afford to buy my house outright. I took out a mortgage. Think this may help with your dream move?! As for EFC, the building of a stadium is a little different as the money is invested rather than mortgaged, I believe at a cost to efc giving either or both naming rights and ground rent/ income sacrifice to the prospective investor.

Hi Ed, Is there any update regarding the striker situation? Specifically if we are outpriced for Lukaku, is there another option. I'd personally like to see Remy join. More experience and a cheaper option.

Believable5 Unbelievable2

{Ed025's Note - remy is on massive wages tone, he would have to take a cut to join us, i dont expect lukaku to join us either, apparently chelsea want barkley as part of any deal involving him, and i cant see us agreeing to that, for me bony would be a good fit mate, but i suppose we will have to wait and see..

I think everton will pursue another striker and I also believe that martinez will try and find a striker who can play alongside naismith. I think martinez likes naismith and given his recent form he should be a starter next season. he appears now to be over his injuries of recent time's. good luck for next season everton ;)

a couple of weeks ago someone told me that we do in fact have new investment coming in, hence why the new stadium rumour is gathering pace.a radio station has just commented that the investment is rumoured to be from abu dhabi. sounds very promising to me.watch this space

Believable24 Unbelievable9

I too heard that today, hopefully this comes to fruition. If it were too, and investment comes in I would like to think that Kenwright would remain as chairman.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i would like that too SB, he has done so much for the club, even though in some quarters, he is not appreciated..

What station lads was this on, ed did they really mention investment coming in.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - elstone was interviewed on sky sports news stef, he mentioned the new ground and investment, but the investment was in the building of the ground as i see it mate..

Cheers ed, hopefully something good comes from all this Coyb.

Agree0 Disagree0

Alan Brazil said he heard it on good authortity from someone in the city of london that its a done deal with investment for the new ground only from abu dhabi.
i can't see the club talking about it if was wasnt highly likely especially after the previous shambles regarding a new stadium
lets just hope he is right.i think he is.

And I heard it on good authority from the wife 5 oclock sunday morning when I stumbled through the door, "that this is the last time any more and you're gone".Now I do believe that. What i'm saying is until everything is signed sealed and delivered take it with a pinch of salt.

That was me BlueW, not very often I am right mate lol

Guessed there must be something as otherwise where the hell are we getting hundreds of millions for a stadium, the council will not be paying it

Let the Billionaire rumours commence

I'm going to start the first one, we should bid the 70 million buy out cluase for Gnasher ha ha
