Everton interested in cavanda from lazio, lescott to come back, if we sell felli, jelavic and get rid of naismith and heitinga, we could bring in 3 or four quality players

Believable11 Unbelievable8

But then the club isn't progressing because depth of the squad would stay the same as it is now, we need to add to what we have so every player is fighting for his place

This may be old news, however was discussing our lack of transfer activity with an ex everton player who plays in league of Ireland but still has contacts within the club.

In relation to the 'Fer' deal in January, Moyes was preparing himself for a massive (un turn downable) late bid for Felli, apparently this was supposed to be in the pipline and Moyes did not want to leave himself without options at such at late stage (as before) and Fer was supposed to be the replacement. Apparently we were always aware of Fer's potential knee problems, and when no bid materialised for Felli we took Fer's knee problems as a reason to return to the table and re negotiate a better deal as we were not so desperate as we 1st feared we would be as we still had Felli and because Fer had not been Moyes first choice transfer target in January.

How much of this is true I don't know, but it kinda makes sense, the lad who told me this knew nothing about whether Moyes will stay or not or potential transfer targets, and only found out about this aspect of the Fer deal reciently! {Ed025's Note - sounds plausible kurajan..

I would happily sell jelavic to afford the funds for remy/benteke

Believable15 Unbelievable7

Sellin jelly wil not giv us enough funds for either, no chance

Agree0 Disagree0

Yep so you say but if he scores the winner on sunday it will be give a new contract Jellyman deserves 1 more season with us to see if he can rediscover his eye for goal

Agree0 Disagree0

If he scores on sunday or not he deserves another season, I have always said beckford should of been given another season, he got 10 for us and scored that great goal against chelski last day of season

Agree0 Disagree0

Beckford was overrated - I'd seen a number of Leeds games before he came to us and seen the number of chances he needed before he scored - and how many times he shot when a pass was clearly a better option. That said, for free I didn't complain and he did indeed do better than I had expected - we did well to get the money we did for him in the end!

As for Jelavic, I feel he's worth another season. His overall game is a little rough around the edges and he isn't the quickest striker (and so a lot of teams have defended high up the pitch when he's been our only striker), he just needs a couple of goals in a run of 3-4 games, and if we can get someone with a bit of pace up front with him (or play Mirallas further up) then I think we will see the best of him again

In answer to a few rumours posted lately, I am led to believe the following:

Fellani, Everton have told him that they would like him to stay, however if he insists in moving on, then the club have told him that they would prefer that he moved abroad.

Bent, Everton would consider him as a squad player, but are unwilling to pay more than 500K for him.

Remy, Everton have registered an interest in the player just like about ever other premiership club!

Jelavic, The club have received an approach from 2 or 3 clubs for the player, one of which is West Ham.

Neville, May stay as a member of the first team coaching staff if he fails to get a suitable offer as a player at another premiership club. I am told that he wants day to day involvement if the first team, rather than roles given to Stubbs, Weir and Ferguson

Duffy and Velios both likely to move on if Moyes remains as manager as both unhappy with limited opportunites.

Season ticket sales are way behind last years levels. The club had prevoiusly been advised to extend the early bird deadline by two weeks to coincide with month end pay days, but they declined. Last season the majority of previous seasons ticket holders who missed the early bird deadline did not renew at all.

Strange as all the info I've seen says season tkts up 10% on last year same was said when I went for mine i. e. up on last year.

Agree0 Disagree0

How have you got that from what has been posted lately?

Agree0 Disagree0

That's a bit peculiar considering that the only info I've heard on season tickets so far is that they have exceeded last years figures.

BitterBlue

Agree0 Disagree0

The season ticket sales stuff is navel-gazing trash. Why do people come on here to post fabricated nonsense?

Agree0 Disagree0

Season ticket sales are up on last season, so stop talking rubbish.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sold 21000 season tickets up 1000 on last year early bird you are talking like a red

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed you should know how season tickets are going {Ed025's Note - why?..

Agree0 Disagree0

You are supposed to hear all the gossip are we up or down? {Ed025's Note - im not a club insider, nor the new derek acorah!..and to be honest, season ticket sales are the least of my concerns, as long as i have mine, that does me..

Agree0 Disagree0

Duffy wants to go out on loan not leave for good don't believe a word you have wrote

Agree0 Disagree0

Early bird season tickets are up from this time last year, duffy wants first team football but wants to stay at everton so will go out on loan, same with vellios, he loves the club and the city and doesn't want to go elsewhere permiantly

Agree0 Disagree0

He needs to start playing duffy

Duffy has already said he loves everton and would never consider leaving on his twitter, this was reply to a fan who asked him about a rumour! he's also captain of the u21 who have just WON THEIR LEAGUE so that's probably how he hasn't been in the 1st team so much! However I want to see him 1st team of next season not just benched every week!

Agree0 Disagree0

Season ticket sales are up this year.

In my eyes loic remy is a must buy for us he is a clinical striker he's got pace and he can finish, 8 million and 75k a week surely we can go in for him!

Believable9 Unbelievable7

02 May 2013 11:17:36
It could possibly be the best thing for us if he does cost the full 8 million as he will ONLY want 75K per week then (ONLY HA HA).

If he has a clause saying he can go cheap or free in case of relegation then he may ask for 100k which would rule us out

This guy has got to be our number one priority this summer, it makes so much sense and they must see it.

We are desperate for a decent striker as we cannot pin all our hopes on Jelly kicking back in.

I personally think that we could have 20 million to spend without selling the big guy so half needs to go on a striker as a priority. Then again all the Prem clubs will have a lot more cash flowing next season. All we have to wish for is that Remy realises his last mistake by ditching the Geordies to play for QPR and that money is not everything in life

Degsy

Agree0 Disagree0

Theres only one place Remy is heading and that's Arsenal, the French Connection you understand

Agree0 Disagree0

I have been told he's on a lot more than 75k a week so there's no way he will be coming to us, unless we csn broker a deal similar to what the RS are supposed to be negotiating with qpr paying a % of his wages!
Mr Blue Sky

Agree0 Disagree0

Hmmm we thought/think Jelavic was a clinical finisher. Remy isn't any better. ten chances to score one goal really clinical (think not). I'd love to see Defoe in royal blue next season

Agree0 Disagree0

Sell Jela for the £8m quoted and Bob's your teapot. As for the wage issue, Jela must be on at least £25k, plus Pips's £50k wages off the bill and we should have the funds to sign Remy. Though I would like to keep Jela for another season to see if he improves, if it were my choice I'd take Remy over Jelavic.

Agree0 Disagree0

Remy has done nothing! to prove he can score, how many does he have? at least jela was able to score prolificly in this league. so we know what he's like at his best. remy is just a mercenary and we have no need for him, not to mention its not like he's there savior like everyone is saying he is, he has done nothing to warrant all this hype

Agree0 Disagree0

Thought that he looked lazy when he played against us got caught off side a number of times I, m sure that there are better options available

Agree0 Disagree0

Are we interested in Remy, if not we should be, class striker, proven abit and I heard he's got a clause that if u match the money qpr bought him for then he can go?

Believable1 Unbelievable8

I am sure we would be interested in him, but the fact is, he has shown himself willing to go to the highest bidder, therefore will just be looking for the greatest pay packet available, and that is all likelihood won't be Everton, as I am sure teams like Spurs will come in throwing cash at him.
