Taylor and Jonas both released by Newcastle! I have heard a few whispers of RM being at front of the queue!
I suppose they would be ok as cover and a better option than McGeady but does anyone else see this happening?

Is this what it's come to?
Take anyone as long as there free.
Really getting worried now. Are we going to be the next Leeds?

Need to ask why Newcastle don't need them. I don't know what their ages and injury history are other than Jonas recent illness.

Taylor has spent the best part of 2 seasons out with knee ligament injury. He was at his level with Wigan, not good enough or fit enough for us.

04 Jun 2015 11:18:47
I like both of them as people and don't mind them as players, but wouldn't have either in a million years. Taylor WAS good about 4 years ago but spends all his time on the injury table and Jonas, as incredible as what he's achieved has been, isn't a very good player. He works hard but doesn't actually have any discernable qualities. It's a dark day when players released by Newcastle, arguably the worst team in the league in the second half of the season, are considered good signings for us.

Some good news reportedly David Henan wants to stay!
Unless of course RM doesn't fancy him now!

I agree it's good news he wants to stay but if he was as good as they said last summer why no exposure this term when we needed him?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - thats a question for RM sconey mate..

04 Jun 2015 15:45:29
He signed on a developmental loan which meant he couldn't play for the 1st team as RM stayed at the start of the season

Hi ed Lukaku been saying again today that he wants to go to larger club u think he be with us for next season if not who would be his replacement

Believable3 Unbelievable2

{Ed025's Note - if he did say that then hes a cheeky sod..we paid top dollar for him.. i would be guessing on a replacement duke, at this time its hard to see until the merry go round starts mate..

02 Jun 2015 14:00:15
Don't twist his words please, he didn't say that.

02 Jun 2015 14:14:22
We'd want a big profit on him so can't see anyone paying £35m plus can you?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - in a word..yes..

02 Jun 2015 14:22:13
I would think Austin possibly so another backwards move?

02 Jun 2015 14:55:18
Let's be fair he ain't going to anyone in prem that's going to challenge for title unless he wants to be a sub, also he is not going to go for less than what we paid for him as his contract is too big so once again Lukaku start repaying your value off and you might get the move you want, I do think what he says in media gets taken wrong way saying you want to win things does not mean he wants to leave tabloid rubbish once again

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - to be fair metz its his agent raiola thats the problem..my god i hate agents!..

02 Jun 2015 20:50:12
Lukaku needs to be told to have a top season set the Euros alight and he will get a CL club after him. We will have a good season make a profit and he gets away if that's what he wants. Can't see him going anywhere before then.

Agree1 Disagree0

03 Jun 2015 09:13:12
Lukaku thinks he is better than he is. He used more energy last season waving his arms around in frustration than he did actually moving.
His secoond touch is always a tackle because his first is so poor.
Sell him for a small profit and get someone in who wants to work for the team

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Jun 2015 11:16:07
In interview he really says like all players he wants to play CL and at the top! That's true in any profession! He also added he was happy where he was but then I suppose he had to.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Wanting to play in the CL is just code for wanting to be paid CL wages like a Man City or Real Madrid pay. If it was about playing in the CL why don't they sign for someone like Basel or Celtic for £15k a week?}

03 Jun 2015 13:56:17
Ed007 I think the inference was for a competing top club that could win it.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I'm just talking in general terms, Wakka, for me it always comes down to the money. Do you think Lukaku will ever be good enough to play for any the 3/4 teams realistically capable of winning the CL, do you see him at Barca or Real Madrid, Bayern Munich?
Look at Man City as an example, their record in Europe is terrible for the money they've spent and they're miles away from really challenging for the trophy, do you reckon Lukaku would turn down a move to them if they offered him say £120k a week? In fact I'd say the only team in England with a chance of winning the CL in the foreseeable future is Chelsea but I'd reckon Lukaku would jump at a move to Arsenal or either Manchester club and none of them will be near winning the CL for a few years at least imo.
Lukaku should knuckle down and prove he's good enough to play for Everton before getting ideas above his station.}
