Believable10 Unbelievable11

Is there a link to that story because the official website has nothing.

Agree1 Disagree0

Nothing on Ghana Football Association web site at all. Where do people get this info from?

Agree1 Disagree1

Think Steve c is winding us all up with this one

Henan is a done deal, how do I send a pic in of proof

Believable12 Unbelievable7

Picture is Galloway. Google it and you will see his picture matches the one in the back of the taxi

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Aug 2014 18:14:13
Hope it's not the pic of him in the back of that blokes taxi.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nah the guy in the taxi is Henen mate there is similarities but it's henen

Agree1 Disagree0

The guy in the Taxi is Henen, not Galloway.

No Traore in the Monaco squad today.

Believable4 Unbelievable3

Good spot Wakka, I watched that game and it nsver even dawned on me to check. Not sure I want him back to be honest but will be behind him if he does come

Agree1 Disagree1

02 Aug 2014 16:52:22
Genuinely don't want him. Surely we can get better. Naisy is better forward anyway.

Agree1 Disagree1

If he's fully fit a loan would be good, he'd be a nightmare to play against

Agree0 Disagree0

He never really got a chance to be fair Matt did he but I'm not keen on him coming back either tbh I just don't fancy him although I should I suppose reserve judgement until I've seen him more. Dunno what it is about him he just doesn't appeal to me. I know that's very narrow minded and not usually like me but I can't help myself with him.

Agree0 Disagree1

How do we know he's not good enough. Give the lad a chance. Excellent goals to game ratio lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Aug 2014 19:22:55
If he get him back we have to use him properly, he gas european experience and is very mobile and quick for someone his height, lacks a first touch, would be a nightmare to get fit and can't head the ball, so if we get him back play to his strengths and not lump it up to him (jags!), for loan why not, would easily get 10 goals

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm exactly the same Pb I can't put my finger on it. Suppose he reminds me of Crouch but worse

Agree0 Disagree0

He had a game or 2 and scored.how can any1 say he is no good.give yhe lad a chance if we sign him. Remember the barry, McCarthy situation.they were crap too according to us lot.how wrong we were.its not like he will be our main striker if we sign him.

Agree0 Disagree0

If we are looking to bring in more wide men then surely he would be the ideal target

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Aug 2014 13:26:54
hello ed, do you think with all the signings we have signed up to now being young and going into the under 21s, and barry and lukaku signed, will we still bring in maybe another 4 or 5 players to go into the 1st team squad.because we are no bigger than last season?

Believable5 Unbelievable3

{Ed025's Note - another 2 maybe daz..

I think we need another winger for a given. If we get Atsu on loan then maybe another striker on a permanent and possibly another centre half (left sided) and we'll be sound.

Agree1 Disagree0

I've heard from a mate who works at city(granted it's only as a steward) that Rodwell, Milner and Richards are in talks with bobby.
IF and I mean IF this is true and if atsu signing, then as long we keep mccarthy then I think we can all look forward to a competitive effort this season

Agree3 Disagree0

Henen, Atsu, back ST. and back GK.

Agree2 Disagree0

@ sconehead. I would love Milner here mate think he would fit right in but I think he may be out of our grasp, there'll be bigger fish than us sniffing around him. I would also have Richards but I don't think he'll oust jags, Distin, Stones or Coleman so not sure if he would come here to warm our bench he may as well stay and warm Citys for more money and Rodwell? Thanks but no thanks. For me anyway.

Agree1 Disagree0

Sitea has it nailed imo.

Agree2 Disagree0

02 Aug 2014 16:26:21
There will be 2 more signing (Striker and Winger) and Loans Loans Loans on deadline day! Just my thoughts like!

Agree1 Disagree0

Pb left side center back who do you reckon this?

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Aug 2014 17:08:01
We are no bigger mate but you have to take into account which youngsters will be coming into the first team that didn't last season which will probably be mcaleny, grant, browning and possibly duffy

Agree0 Disagree0

I can see Matty Kennedy having a part to play. One of our best young players, immensely talented.

Agree0 Disagree0

Swan you seem up to speed with the kids I'm honestly not. Other than Duffy (who I think is right footed anyway) do we have a natural left sided cb that could stand in if needed. @sitea I'm note sure who I want to be honest matey I've not really seen us linked to one as of yet.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sitea is probably right although I don't think a back up GK will come although I want one. A left sided CB in his mid 20s would be nice all our CBs are either under 23 or over 30

Agree0 Disagree0

Swan I agree on a few youngsters coming through mate. Duffy looked good a couple years back and I wouldn't mind seein what matthew Kennedy can do

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Aug 2014 19:34:15
Tyias browning i'm guessing could play there as could duffy but no one naturally plays there I don't believe, apart from galloway but he probably won't play, other than distin we have no left footed centre backs, alcaraz and jags can play there but not preffered, i'm not as up to speed as i'd like to be, so sorry mate but I can't think of any naturally left sided centre backs bar distin, sconehead, I haven't seen much of kennedy, but with atsu coming in I doubt he will play so its probably a loan for him, the 2 I most want to see are ledson (17 and according to martinez he was ready for the first team last season, jesus he must be good and from what I saw of the england under 17s he is very talented) and green (god knows how long I've heard about how good he is and all I've seen is flashes, and in those flashes included free kicks and somehow getting past 3 players despite being sandwiched, apparently he doesn't have a position yet), i'm slightly concerened about francisco junior and john lundstram, junior doesn't seem to be rated that highly, lundstram looks very talented but at his age he should be knocking on the door for the first team but will probably be going out on loan (mk dons) or sold, shame, maybe martinez just doesn't rate him

Agree0 Disagree0

Fair enough Swan, thanks for the info. I'm not up to speed on our rezzies if I 'm honest. I just about get enough time to go the senior games so nice ine for the heads up. Other than what Swan says sitea, it looks like we need to bring a left footed centre back in. Who that is I have no idea.

Hasn't Luke garbutt been getting high reviews this pre season??

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Aug 2014 20:47:01
He has indeed mate

Agree0 Disagree0

Do you recon he's a Potential first teamer swan?

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Aug 2014 23:57:27
I watched him about 6 times for cheltenham and I have to say I wasnt impressed, I expected jake bidwell to make it, how wrong I was, garbutt, according to colchester fans, was miles ahead of anyone in that league, I didn't see any game for them but based on pre season and highlights (not the best I know) he certainly has the ability, he has the left foot and technique of baines (crossing, free kicks etc), the physique of luke shaw (very big for a left back) and is faster than both, I don't know where he fits in atm, he will probably be very much like baines when he reaches his potential, but until then, I don't see him featuring, unless martinez is serious about baines going into midfield, garbutt will very likely be our long term left back, with bryan as competition, he may go on loan to the championship this season (based on what martinez has said) or he may stay and fight for his place, either way, I believe he definitely has the ability and potential to play in the premier league, and more importantly? He will maybe be a bigger, faster and stronger version of baines and can learn link up as he gets older, he is already a decent defender, we may well have something special in him mate

Agree0 Disagree0

Gallo the new lad also can play left side CB . But regarding to his age too young may cause problem. Actually this position and back up Gk my guess not plan A. But not sure Distin decide the final career contract and also Joel perform bad decision and participating.

Ed any truth were in for Isco a Real Madrid reporter just tweeted it now but don't know how true it is, he also says City aswell you heard anything about this your end.

Believable5 Unbelievable7

{Ed025's Note - no mate..

I'd love this to be true, but I doubt it. Where would he play? We've already got Barkley and Naismith behind the striker ;)

Agree0 Disagree1

02 Aug 2014 13:46:00
Less than no chance.

Agree0 Disagree0

But we are being mentioned, which in itself is a massive stride forward.

Agree1 Disagree0

It is muted we are in talks for a loan deal

Agree0 Disagree1

It would be great to have him on loan, though it'd probably make all of the press and half of the league complain about it being "unfair"

Agree0 Disagree0

This is spreading quicker than the clap on Blackpool prom. Apparently it's between us and city, we are the obvious choice. Only difference is city can agree to a loan to buy of a significant figure. Either way being mentioned in the same breath is flattering and a massive stride forward. IMWT

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Aug 2014 17:11:16
According to twitter someone on twitter heard from someone on twitter that a spanish fella said on twitter we are in talks, in other words? We aren't after him

Agree0 Disagree0

Isco would actually be the perfect signing. Such a great player and he can play in pienaars spot which if I'm not mistaken is a position which we are trying to fill, and can add depth behind Barkley and Osman. Isco is a world class player who would fit the Martinez system and push us into the champions League for sure. The only problem I see is how to pay.

Agree0 Disagree0

If it's between us and city then he'll choose city as he likes Pelegrini and played under him before he joined real Madrid

Agree0 Disagree0

Look lads, let's be honest about it. Isco isn't coming is he.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - no..

02 Aug 2014 12:56:53
Henan has signed a 5 year deal with us, will be confirmed some time today! :-)

Believable6 Unbelievable6

Agree1 Disagree0

Erm, no he hasn't. Haven't finalised terms with Anderlecht yet. Still protracted negotiations ongoing

A few internet reports about us being linked with Micah Richards who I rate highly and think our Bobby could get him back to his best? Has this got any legs Ed?

Believable5 Unbelievable4

{Ed025's Note - not on the radar as far as i know BN, too injury prone for me mate..

02 Aug 2014 12:13:31
Im not sure he has any legs

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Aug 2014 10:11:05
Apparently Brendan Galloway from MK Sons has signed - 5 year contract

Believable15 Unbelievable4

02 Aug 2014 08:22:47
David henen and brendon Galloway to be announced by tuesday. Both into u21s. Henen 1.5m Galloway 1m+ add ons rising to 2 million. From same source that broke the jimmy mac rumour. He is still saying utd want him for 10-15 million and cleverly.

Believable8 Unbelievable6

02 Aug 2014 08:30:24
So just 10-15m then?

Agree1 Disagree1

10m and cleverly?? I'm sure bobby would like neuer for £3.27, a bag of space invaders and Joel Robles doesn't mean it's going to happen

Agree2 Disagree1

I thought McCarthy signed a new contract at the end of the season, or am I wrong in saying that?

Agree2 Disagree1

{Ed025's Note - he is contracted till june 2018 tron...but as we know mate, these contracts are not worth the paper they are printed on..

If Jimmy Mac was even thinking of leaving us I would just say look at Fellaini!
United are on the slide we're on the up, be part of something special!

Agree2 Disagree1

{Ed025's Note - i would say...if you want to go theres the door!...i dont want anyone who is not 100% committed to the cause MBS..

Totally agree ed025. I would rather have an average player giving it 100%. Than a great player giving it 50%

Still think and hope it's a load of tosh though.

Agree3 Disagree0

Galloway announced this morning official site. NSNO

Agree1 Disagree0

Every player has a price - and whilst we would not want to lose lukaku - or Barkley - and maybe Barry at this time, I would say everyone else has a price and can be replaced

It depends on whether the McCarthy money would be enough - and whether its just getting swallowed - or if its being reinvested in another player we really wanted - we're reasonably well stocked in centre mid now - but we really need another top flight striker - so if McCarthy was sold to bring in someone like Bony I would not mind - lukaku plus another top rated striker would be awesome

Whatever happens I trust Martinez to know what he's doing

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree that McCarthy is replaceable, in fact I suspect it's the reason Besic was brought in in be first place with Gibbo as back up. If we could get £30m and spend £20m on maybe Remy and one other it might be good business.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Aug 2014 14:52:15
I reckon its all tosh, Macca appeared really happy at the blues and he loves Roberto. Perhaps his agent is wanting a bit extra cash in his new contract which was supposed to be negotiated during the summer. Watch the club make a announcemet of a new extended contract for McArthy in next 10 days that's my gut feeling.
