A post on Derby County page saying Will Hughes merseyside bound to the blues for £5m. Can only mean Steve McClaren to follow.

I smell BS.

Can't see this being true

There's no way theyd let that player go for as little as £5M - whether it was tied-in to a managerial change or not.
A good rumour should always have the possibility of being true about it - imho this one does not!

will hughes, i'd rather have osman, in fact, i'd sooner play distin in central midfield than will hughes, jesus christ, i'm crying with laughter at that. Haha 5m!! For will bloody hughes?! Haha you had me going for a minute then.

Agree0 Disagree1

Tell me if i'm wrong but isn't will highs an incredibly promising youth prospect? If so why would you want Distin over him?

No will hughes is the severely awful midfielder for derby county that makes jack wilshere look like iniesta. I remember seeing liverpool were getting him for 18m, when I saw that story I looked on the tele, derby were playing qpr, he was awful, I started watching more derby matches and full individual highlights from him, he went past 1 player in total, and that was because the player slipped to the right in the rain and hughes slipped to the left and broke away, before running it out for a throw in. He refuses to touch the ball with his right foot, is terrified of anyone of similar size, struggles with simple passes. Despite his height he lacks strength and doesn't make up for it with electric pace either, incredibly clumsy and bottles every tackle. He honestly gives cleverley a run for his money for sheer sh*tness, yall now how much I hate big tom aswell, so i'm being really serious when I say will hughes is actual poo. The only thing that saves him from toms league is his age, which to be fair he can improve, but 18m? I wouldn't pay this half a twix I have for him.

A big rumour is that RM walked under a ladder tripped over a passing black cat and smashed a mirror in the process leading to our recent bout of 'Bad luck'!

Yeah I mean, ivanovic is dreadful, azpilicuea can play there too but he's awful, wallace, ormero etc, oh yeah, they are desperatly in need of a right back, that whole post was sarcasm, just in case.

Yeah your right guys I forgot chelsea don't just buy players because other clubs r after them!!! I.e Willian salah Wright phillips the list goes on and on!!! Can the eds shine any light on this?? because it has happened he might not go there but it has happened and it's certainly on the cards!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - its just paper talk at the moment bombay, but thats not to say it wont happen..

Thanks eds but talks have happened at agent level!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i will take your word for that bombay, as i am unaware of it mate..

I'd expect agents of players to be talking to clubs (or their representatives) all the time these days. It's how clubs get around any regulations about directly contacting (i.e. tapping up) other clubs' contracted players. In the old days, clubs used to use football reporters as go-betweens. Besides, it's an agent's job to see what's possible for his player and if a "wealthy" club were interested in that player - and prepared to pay big money - then it's the agent's job to see what he can negotiate when contract renewal time arrives. That doesn't mean that a confirmed bid has been made at a club-to-club level - nor that any bid would be welcomed let alone accepted by the player's current club. The annoying thing imho - much though we like this kind of banter - is that someone with insider knowledge is clearly leaking it. Either they can't keep their mouth shut - or the story is being deliberately placed in the media to destabilise the situation and/or the player. All because of the massive money sloshing about at the higher levels!
