Our star signing will be . Riquelme! You heard it hear first.
In the know ;)

Believable19 Unbelievable13

Quinny have to disagree rur star signing is Moutinho, we have made a deal to pay for him over several months to keep the initial costs down with a final payment of about a 3rd of the fee. very reliable sauce :)

SA90

Agree0 Disagree1

He was having a pint on the albert dock with Rivaldo and Batistuta sailed in on his yacht.

Believe it or not that was actually a news article
Found it in an old newspaper when I was fitting windows in tocky.

Agree0 Disagree0

So Moutinho who has just gone to Monaco is now coming here? bs

Fellaini has told Martinez he wants to leave.

Believable12 Unbelievable9

If he wants to leave he'll have to hand in a transfer request, but if not he stays same goes for Baines.

Agree3 Disagree0

He may well have done but he's not going for £2.50 and a bottle.of whiskey!

Agree1 Disagree0

Not sure if he has, I would be suprised if he dosnt before transfer day, I know majority want him to stay but I think he's been eyeing a move since christmas

Gareth Barry is a done deal. Should be revealed very very soon.
@alexsmithefc

Believable5 Unbelievable9

Yeah it's all over twitter, I'd still like Moses and maybe another striker

Agree1 Disagree0

I agree Barry is a done deal so is ince wouldn't surprise me come Monday evening if moses or marrone have also signed we coud even still sign alderweireld jorginho any of theses 6 players we have a good chance of getting them over the coming days at the moment has I
Said ince and Barry are done deals

Loads saying Defoe cr slightly better than Kone I think

Believable11 Unbelievable10

Ed any idea why velios ain't getting a run out. I've always thought the lad had potential and would be something different to the other fwds we have. otherwise why is the lad there. he never gets played. Jcl {Ed025's Note - i dont know jcl, i like the guy mate..

Agree1 Disagree0

Defoe has scored wherever he's played. Mostly off the pitch but he's better than kone on both counts!

Agree0 Disagree1

He'd add a new dimension to the attack like. But he's getting on now.

Agree0 Disagree1

Slightly? I would say by a considerable margin.

Wudz

Agree1 Disagree1

Well I'm baffled by it Ed. but at least I ain't alone. he should be given a crack. or at least sent out on loan to get some championship action under his belt. thanks for the input anyway.jcl

Agree1 Disagree0

Would love Defoe proven goal scorer and would suit our style of play

Everton are looking at a loan deal for Manchester City midfielder Gareth Barry, tv understand. The England midfielder has not been involved for City this season and looks to be surplus to requirements under Manuel Pellegrini.

Believable12 Unbelievable7

Why are we not bidding for Diame?. I'd have him in my team every day! Jcl

Agree3 Disagree1

Diame has already said he has no interest in a move about a month ago

Hey ed any chance of honda since milan have been told no chance and he's basically up for sale for whoever comes in with a good offer thanks {Ed025's Note - i think that ship has sailed mate...he is likely to stay at CSKA, and move to milan in january..

Believable4 Unbelievable2

I'm baffled why we haven't made a move for him ed. He's the answer to our midfield and available on the cheap. {Ed025's Note - i agree mike, hes quality mate..

Agree2 Disagree0

Cheers ed just thought with all the bad feelings with the two clube there might have been a chance mate thanks.

man utd have let alex buttner go on a season long loan to besiktas could baines b on his way to utd

Believable10 Unbelievable7

I really hope not dude, ill b really disappointed if that happens.

Agree0 Disagree0

If he does go, the player siquera looks good from grenada.

Believable7 Unbelievable4

i have heard we may sign some body by the transfer deadline coyb

Believable9 Unbelievable8

Any idea who Sherlock! .?

Agree2 Disagree0

Wow. How specific

Agree2 Disagree0

I thought I was the only one who had heard this rumour. I believe it may be a man with two legs and arms but that's all I can let you know for now. You heard it here first.
RickTee {Ed025's Note - that takes the biscuit rich tea.. :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Probably going to be Gareth Barry on loan as it was on tv any truth in this one ed? {Ed025's Note - i dont think so mate, as city would prefer a sale..

Agree0 Disagree0

We all though villa wanted to sell bent but eventually ended up being a loan. I think the same for us and Barry.j

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Aug 2013 13:10:05
With Lamela & Eriksen heading Spurs, does that mean Holtby and Gylfi are available. I'd take both of them. How much reckon ed? On a different note, John Stones looks like he's going to be a top player. {Ed025's Note - they will want what they paid for them...levy is no mug mate..

Believable6 Unbelievable1

Apparently Holtby is going on loan to Ajax as part of the Eriksen deal

Agree0 Disagree1

Or way more than what they paid, at least for holtby.

Agree2 Disagree0

Holtby was signed on a free I think, Gylfi was about 7m good players I'd have both do spurs see us as rivals now maybe they would do loans

Agree1 Disagree0

29 Aug 2013 17:37:46
holtby was 1.5mil so spurs probably wwant 20mil and probably 25mil for gylfi remember the pienaar saga
efcsimo

Agree3 Disagree1

I also think going for dembele, good defensively and a great playmaker

Alexis Sanchez could be the shock transfer on Monday I have heard a few rumours while out in Spain

Believable13 Unbelievable28

Ha that would be a brilliant signing but unfortunatly wages may be a big problem

Agree5 Disagree1

Wages are high but the tax paid is huge over there so 150k a week over there would be same as 100k here due to high tax paid so don't rule out soldado wages are less than his wage in Spain but earns more after tax at spurs

Agree0 Disagree0

The queue for this guys signature would be enormous and we would be so far down the pecking order, more chance of almost all of the other unrealistic dream targets people put on here than getting him. I include Rooney in that.

Svenny

Agree1 Disagree0

I wish people stop on about the stupid wages they are not everything plus players can't expect to get paid the same wherever they go

Agree0 Disagree2

He's heading to Arsenal or an Italian CL team.

Agree0 Disagree0

Exactly, players can't expect to get paid the same wherever they go.hence why he won't sign for us and he will go where he can expect to get the same wage.

Agree0 Disagree0

His chairman on 1st Aug said he's not for sale

Stefan B

Agree0 Disagree0

Wages may not be the only thing but we don't do to well in the others:
Champions league football
Trophies
Climate Spain v England where do you want to live?
Prestige Barcalona or everton is an easy choice for anyone except us blues

Agree1 Disagree1

Nearly as unrealistic as the guy who mentioned mata the other day, he dosnt really do much for barca in a team that has 80% possesion any way further more he spends half the time on the deck one of the worst divers ever, so frustrating

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Aug 2013 10:35:13
Give Martinez time I think we're going to go unbeaten this season unfortunately were also going to get relegated on 38 points. {Ed025's Note - you really are a miserable sod quinny..

Believable9 Unbelievable13

Come on ed this is not such a negative post.We will have won both the League and FA cups. Plus we may just stay up with 38 points.

COYB

SA90 {Ed025's Note - i read all quinny,s posts sa90, and stick by my judgement mate.. :)

Agree1 Disagree0

I was joking I actually think well finish 5-7th and do well in the cups

Agree0 Disagree0

Sadly Quinny we won't finish in top seven unless we get some reinforcements in.I think we will finish about 11th-12th and i'm an optimist. It's because of this ridiculous style he wants us to play.We don't have the players with sufficient technical abilities to play in this manner. We need to play at pace, it's our strength.I wish he (RM) would try and incorporate the changes in a more gradual way, it's too much too soon imo.

Agree1 Disagree0

We will finish top half easily the tempo and pace has been the problem so far but it will come if we can combine the passing triangles and 1-2's with pace and power we'll blow teams away {Ed025's Note - finishing seems to be the problem IMO quinny..

Agree0 Disagree0

Finishings been the problem for about 5 years

Agree0 Disagree0

Since when was the last timeEverton played with pace {Ed025's Note - wednesday!..

Agree0 Disagree0

More like 25years

Agree0 Disagree0

I read kagawa could be leaving utd I take him an 10 mil for the wig think it would be a good move for us an he a good creative midfield what you think blue? From blue beard

Believable11 Unbelievable13

Ha. That's obviously not going to happen.

Agree1 Disagree0

29 Aug 2013 10:13:34
I think we should look at signing josh Mceachran, young cheap and worth a punt 2 mil

Agree3 Disagree0

It probably won't happen but be a good move for us throw, an spurs are after little pea for 15 mil now that would be good signing even if we had him on loan

Agree0 Disagree0

And why would we want to do business with that lot for?

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with the Josh comment

Agree0 Disagree0

Kagawas class. I know he plays further up than felli but technically twice the player just never going to happen

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Aug 2013 07:32:56
after last nights performance I think its plain for all to see. that's NOT THE REAL AROUNA KONE! ITS WINNIE PARKS IN DISGUISE!

Believable22 Unbelievable3

Couple of months ago, I said we did not need him, he was not good enough. I knew I was right then, but EFC have to spend millions to prove I was right. HE IS WORLD CLASS RUBBISH. A relegated striker. FFS, there is the CLUE.

Agree4 Disagree0

29 Aug 2013 08:41:15
Said this from the start. He is not a Premier League quality player. I feel for Victor the most in this, they guy shows great improvement last year and nnow can't get a game. And Velios, showed great promise but again relegated behind a £5M championship player. What a waste of money. If I were Bill I wouldn't give this guy a penny more. He will be gone by January at this rate. I fear things will start to go from bad to worse. RM does not know what he is doing, defensively we are a shambles already as his relegated Wigan side were. He needs to either get a grip and stop trying to play his "brand" of football whatever that his, it seems purely to be to try and have as much possesion as possible rather than try and score as many goals as possible. This was the wrong appoinment, how can a relegated manager take the club forward?

Agree1 Disagree0

If Baines and Fellani goes we need to bring in marrone. Jorginho. Moses. A good striker and alderweireld. And ince then champions league

Agree2 Disagree0

Had Martinez got those 4 extra points needed to have kept Wigan in the PL last season what would we of used to comment on our own Manager, 3 games in to a season and he's getting slated, Kone was awful last night but I remember the guy who pulled our centre halfs everywhere last season and scoring twice against one of the most frugal defences in the league. It's going to take time to adapt for the Manager, his back room staff, players and fans, so how about we leave the negativity behind for a bit and get behind OUR team, Macca 78

Agree6 Disagree0

I said this was an awfull signing but got shot down by loads of people, we needed a proven striker, yet spent 6 mil on Kone, why not Bent, why not defoe, christ liverpool got coutinho for about the same, were a joke right now, every evertonian could see we needed a quality striker yet the new manager and Bill clearly don't think so. i'm not Victors biggest fan but both him and vellios could done more in this game or the previous two. Finally on previous posts about felli storming down the tunnel, I don't blame the lad, he's been dead loyal never com out through all this and said I wanna leave or hand a transfer request in, then he has to watch that shower of rubbish struggle all night, and eventually come on in injury time to save the day. I think if I thought 'christ I've got to do this all on my own' i'd be thinking what's the bloody point too.

Agree1 Disagree3

Give the lad a chance, he has played one game.

Agree3 Disagree1

He scored more goals than jela/anichibe last season.

Agree0 Disagree0

IMO Kone is going to need abit more time to get his fitness back don't forget he was running on empty in preseason. However, have to agree it wasn't a great start to his EFC carrer. Oh and to all those who think we are already relageted. We haven't actually lost a competative match yet! So can you leave slaggin the club off until we actually do then you can fill your boots with "I told you so's".

Agree1 Disagree0

Give the lad time look at fellaini and baines when they first came to us we was all look what the hell have we signed hear so stop being so negative

Agree1 Disagree0

Love all the doom and gloom. Get a grip people. We've played 3 games under a new coach new ideas new system new players and for me there's been more positives than negatives. We've had more possession in games for as long as I can remember and created lots of chances only thing lacking has been a couple of goals. If it was up to me invest in a new right sided player and stick super kev through the middle

Agree3 Disagree0

Why do we always have to wait for our new forwards to get up to speed, settle in, give them a few games and make other excuses. Should we withhold his wages until he is ready!
for us signing konehead for 6 mil is the equivolant of spurs/RS/arsenal/chelsea spending 15/20 mil and they don't have them issues/excuses he is not good enough and never will be we are meant to be pushing on improving the squad not going backwards

Agree1 Disagree0

29 Aug 2013 11:19:58
He didn't look like he wanted to get his shorts dirty to be honest, he could of gambled on a couple of good crosses but stood there and watched it go psat him instead

Agree0 Disagree0

Er because strikers go through barron spells and it takes time to adapt to new teams. So everton sign a 20 goal a season striker for £8m where as the top 4 sign a 20 goal a season striker for £15-£20m. mmm if a top 4 team looked at a 20 goal a season striker for £8m then surely they would put an offer in or do you think they would say no to cheap let's look elsewhere. I don't think there are that many £8m strikers that could score 20 goals a season in the prem hanging around at the moment.

SA90

Agree1 Disagree0

SA90, make sure you read the posts properly before you throw a hissey fit! I said equivalant to the other teams, meaning budgets! The reason we don't have a 20 goal a season striker is because we can't afford one, kone is in our price/wage bracket wether we like it or not

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha Kones played one game! evryone just relax

Agree0 Disagree0

He's not long stopped fasting, it was his first proper start for us and his bird has just had a baby. Give the bloke a chance to settle in.
There's no denying he was below par but give him time before ripping into him.
I have a feeling he'll turn out to be a good signing.

Agree1 Disagree0

Poeple can say what they like about new systems and time to settle in and all them cliches, kones average, missed a sitter from 3 yards, couldn't sort his feet from 2 yards out, like last year we dominate games but lack the quality to create and finish clear chances, look at how spurs have invested they have quality throughout now they chop and change with 10-20mil players were as we have no options, poeple shouldn't expect miracles with are budget

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Aug 2013 02:37:25
Tottenham rumoured to be interested in Ajax midfielder Christian Erikson for as little as 8.5 million do you think we could have a say in this one Ed
Olly {Ed025's Note - to be honest olly..no..

Believable3 Unbelievable4

Why spurs though they have spent well over

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Aug 2013 00:34:47
Man city fans on twitter think gareth barry has signed for us hope its true great player

Believable8 Unbelievable10

Great debateable, need of dcm cover a definite

MikeDeBlue

Agree1 Disagree0

At first I was against it, but listening to Man City fans opinions on him, saying he still could've done a job for them this season and how he has been decent for them, they are kind of changing my opinion on him because City fans do watch him week in week out and will have the most knowledge on him.

Fact is, beggars can't be choosers, we desperately need central midfielders, and I think Barry will be an upgrade on Osman (anyone would be an upgrade on Osman to be fair). As long as City subsidise the majority of his wages and he isn't a replacement for Fellaini, I can live with the move.

Agree3 Disagree0

29 Aug 2013 08:43:04
Well I will welcome him, good pro. At least maybe he will bring defensive qualities something it seems we are lacking badly.

Agree1 Disagree0

Excellent.he'll be adding some pace to our midfield. alongside Osman - watch out Usain Bolt!

Agree1 Disagree0

Far better than Osman and more reliable than Gibson, ok signing as long as he's not the only signing.

Agree0 Disagree0

He is awful! Slow no skill what's he going to bring to everton?

Agree0 Disagree0

Is this what we've sank too? Has been pensioners!

S1878

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with the last two replies. In no way is Barry an upgrade on what we've got.A backward step IMO.
