Been told today that the clubs doctor has got his marching orders and Martinez is bringing in his own yes man. same thing has happened through the Physio department slowly but surely he is removing he heart of the back room staff to create his own yes culture. Not good for the future in my eyes!

Not the fault of the doctor, fault of the training approch, all ball work, with no stamina or endurance work, which should be at the heart of a pro footballer.

This isn't the 80s you know mate the days of running up hills and flogging players until they are physically sick are over.

JCW

I agree with you re-training approach,

as it is very much about ''the managers principles'' being the prevailing governance behind method and policy at finch farm.

The buck makes a screeching halt at his office door imo!

Yes Mike today's training methods are giving the players just enough fitness to get injured. The fitter and stronger you are the less likely you are to get injured. Maybe the players should be put on a 80's training schedule? That and a pair of 80's boots, can't remember many foot injuries in the 80's these days they are pretty common.

Actually the fitter you are the more prone to injury you are. It's not about muscle mass, it's muscle tone. And these guys are on the limit. Therefore soft tissue injuries tend to take longer to heal. Think of it as a tight elastic band, under constant pressure and when it snaps it goes big time. That's just the way sport is now, everything to the limit.

I never post rumours but got told this today.
Joe Royle was at a insurance company dinner as a guest and he said Roberto is off to Valencia with slaven billic coming to everton. Anyone else heard this? not sure if good news or bad!!

{Ed025's Note - im sure its good pauly..

It's bad! Bilic couldn't finish in champions league places in Turkey and its a 2 team league! If we do get shut of the fraud Karanka is the man. We need a coach who knows how to defend first and foremost
