I am currently working in Norwich and the word round here s leroy fer is defo Everton bound for 6-8mil. Not sure if true or not

Why would we pay £6-8m for a player that didn't cut it in the prem with Norwich and who cost £3m last July?

They paid 5mil for him. According to the lads down he he was there best player by a country mile

Offer them 2m max if not move on. We hold all the aces not them.

just hearing on fb that a deal has been done for demba ba for 10 mil but being kept quiet till after world cup, any truth ed?

I'm with Ed. If it's on Facebook I'm getting a Demba Ba tattoo tomorrow. Chelsea and the player hzve already stated he is going nowhere next season! Why oh why do you believe this garbage mate. Seriously?

Why after the World Cup it's not like his price is going to shoot up he is not worth anything more than 10 mill, personally I would pay no more than 5 or 6 mill for him.

We should be looking to bring in better players than Ba. That would be a costly and short term option.

Have heard that Coleman is close to agreeing a new long term contract. Possibly 5 years! Have you heard anything ed?

From the Premier League website (premierleague.com), which has a section that contains FAQs:
"When does the transfer window open and close?
There are two transfer windows in each Barclays Premier League season.
The first commences at midnight on the last day of the season and ends on 31 August if a working day - or, if not, on the first working day thereafter, at a time determined by the Board.
The second transfer window commences at midnight on the 31 December and ends on the 31 January if a working day, and again, if not, on the first working day thereafter, at a time determined by the Board.
Temporary transfers can be made permanent outside of the transfer windows. For further information please see the rules in the Premier League Handbook."
Reading that, it would appear that the window is already open. I imagine it's the dates of players' contracts - usually running until 30th June I believe - that probably drives the date when transfers start to happen. Even players that are not being retained - i.e. "free" transfers - probably had contracts until 30th June and I imagine would be "officially" registered with a new club - and for no transfer fee - on 1st July. But what do I know - I'm just interpreting, or misinterpreting as the case may be, what I've found online!

Looks like we really are after Cleverley then, interested in Batshuayi as well but does anyone know if we want James Forrest? Read it in a few papers now.
