Ok guys,
Honestly how much do value Baines and Fellani individualy? i'm not trying to start an argument just curious as I too am suprised at the respect my club has shown in terms of allowing the situation to fester with no follow up bid (if we are seriously interested).
So taking a side all the crap that has simmered give me honest values, on a very good but 28 yr old LB and a decent CM.
I would day £13-15m for Baines maybe with a few million in add ons depending on success, and Fellani i'd say £20-23m

Believable11 Unbelievable11

Do you know Baldrick's (the character from Blackadder) first name? Well, his name is the reaction to you posting.
BaronHardup

Agree2 Disagree0

Baines 20m
Felli 30m
If you buy both 5m extra for the inconvenience
Quinny

Agree5 Disagree0

And that's why your a utd fan, leighton baines the best left back in world football on paper based on tackle success rate, chances created, assists and goals, for 13 million? he created more chances than any other player in europe last year from left back just look up the stats, more than xavi, muller, iniesta, ozil, kaka, pirlo etc so you have to be joking? surely it can't be a serious? fellaini valuation very fair, I feel when he's good he's unplayable but if not he's sluggish and lazy

Agree4 Disagree0

Go away. Take out rvp and rooney and those two are worth more than the rest of your overrated squad.

Agree2 Disagree0

Baines worth atleast 17mill feliani worth 25/28

Agree3 Disagree0

Baines - 17mil
Fellaini - 25mil

Baines is worth much more than his Market Value to us in how much he contributes though.

Agree1 Disagree0

Baines is best LB in country. At 28 he is in his prime. Played every minute last season and was one of top in Europe for assists. Forget the 'add ons' If you want him then the price should start at 18m. If you don't want to pay it we will happily forego the 18m.
Felli - Moyes paid 17.5m (inc add ons) 5 years ago. We also have to pay 20% of any profit so do you expect us to receive less than we paid? Price is 24m + add ons rising to poss 27m (or 45m cash would be nice)

Agree1 Disagree0

£30m Fellaini (Moyes' own valuation of the player, btw) and £18m for Baines. No blue-tinted specs on either, it's just I see them play every week and know that they're top class players who would improve most teams.
B-wise.

Agree1 Disagree0

Both made top 50 players in Europe baines best left sided stats in all 5 major leagues - 15m plus add ons is cheap - look what a decent player costs now
Felli £25m good central midfielder who can hold or get you 12 goals - look at what Chelsea and city paid to fill these roles £25m is a cheap buy

Agree2 Disagree0

To the 9th response. absolutely spot on mate.jcl

Agree0 Disagree0

45 mill for both. Fellaini worth 25 mill and that's a fair price for both parties. Baines - your looking at 20million at least. Best left back in Europe. Do you united fans not get it? Cough up or shut up.

Wudz

Agree1 Disagree0

I ain't going to argue with this guy. what I will say is that fellainis is up there with RSVP and Rooney IMHO. there is no other player in the minute squad worth as much as him. considering his ability, physical presence, age, adaptability. he is worth between 25 and 30. other than the two I have mentioned who else in the man it'd team is as good as screech?. well beck?, carrick? Evans?, jones?. absolutely no chance.jcl

Agree0 Disagree0

Can you hear that Tapping noise coming from manchester.
TAPPATY TAP TAP TAP.
I know what it is its the GINGER GOLLUM sending morse code to bainsey.
BlueWarrior.

Agree3 Disagree0

I agree with your valuations. Personally I'd try and keep Baines and try and squeeze £25 plus for Felliani if Moyes was still manager he would trying to get that. He did say when man city wanted Lescott - "its expensive to buy drom Everton, if you're going to come and try and take our beat players we don't sell cheap that's for sure" let's see if he remembers that!

Agree0 Disagree0

If there that good why are no other teams interested in buying?

Agree0 Disagree0

The asking price includes the value if the players, the cost of replacing the players, and the inflation added to the cost of replacements due to the fact people will know we have money, also sell on fees to Wigan and standard liege

Agree1 Disagree0

Fellaini - £30m

Baines - £20m

Pay it or leave it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Poeple can think 50m all they like, I suspect we will accept some were near 40

MikeDeBlue

Agree0 Disagree0

His age is irrelevant. Lescott was only a year younger when he went for £24 million and Baines IMO is a better quality player.

Like a previous poster has said, his price is based on his value to us and the fact that the transfer window is closing in a matter of days so a replacement will have their price inflated.

As for Felli; it'd be complete madness to sell him for anything less than the release clause. The clause was put in by MOYES to protect us from these 11th hour cheap bids. Again, if anything, the price should be inflated cause it's so late, the clause has expired and Moyes is desperate to make a signing. United fans will not be happy if the window shuts and they've not improved their squad, especially since they aren't restricted financially.

Agree1 Disagree0

Hell of a lot of bitter replies to this post. It was a fair question with a fair valuation. Baines is pushing 29, I don't even know why United want him, he is good don't get me wrong, but we have Evra and have much more pressing issues in midfield. I can fully understand why you are not happy with Moyes, but that's life and that's football I am afraid. If you are looking for moral ground in football, you will be looking for a long time. Loom at what Chelski just did to spurs for Willian, it goes on and always will. Baines and Curly will want a go at champs league, can you blame them? Moyes will want to get them as cheap as poss, can you blame him?

Agree0 Disagree1

Yes, and we don't want to sell, can you blame us? So, simple economic theory suggests that if you want them, you are going to have to pay a price that entices us to sell. If not go after other targets. Martinez is too smart to fall for the 'right thing to do' rubbish.

Agree1 Disagree0

Baines 18-20 mil.
Fellaini 25-27 mil.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well if a certain Gareth Bale is worth £80 + Million. I ask this question is he worth more than our best 2 players. In my opinion no. So the answer to You is Simple £90m Plus Rooney on loan for a Season with you paying his salary. let's do a deal

Agree2 Disagree0

Moyes valued them at £50m last season, Fellaini £30m and Baines £20m. So to come back with an offer just over half what HE valued them at is spellbinding arrogance and hypocrisy.

So yes I can blame him.
Don't come with this 'it's football' nonsense. The value is dictated by the selling club, and we don't need to sell though I suspect Fellaini may be sold for around £25m plus add ons.
And what does it say to the players, to value them so cheaply? Great way to disrespect them and Everton and, in turn, strengthen our resolve to hold out for more.
You've gone about this is an amateurish manner and I hope you pay through the nose to get them if they are to go.
I'd prefer we kept them as they know they're respected and highly valued here, though I wouldn't begrudge either of a shot at the CL as they're model professionals and great assets to anyone.

Agree0 Disagree0

Anyone who values Fellaini at more than Baines is wrong, he's more valuable, Fellaini is nowhere near as good and never will be.

Agree0 Disagree0

Iam pleased youve got moyes. he's proving his dithering mentallity, we won't miss either player and have a better manager than you bandwagon merchants moyes is a twit forgive my spelling tom efc

felli has gone straight down the tunnel at the end of the game.

Believable12 Unbelievable3

So where was he suppose to go then?

Agree1 Disagree0

Got to catch the last bus to Manchester?

Agree2 Disagree0

Amazing! A footballer going down the tunnel at the end of a match. Whatever next? He's seen going to the players' car park to drive home? Shock horror!
BaronHardup

Agree2 Disagree0

And what. Might have needed a poo

Agree1 Disagree0

Yeah, I also seen the look of delight on his face and the way he celebrated with the players after he scored. So he went down the tunnel, well I guess that's the rest of the squad going too. I saw them all go down the tunnel, couldn't believe my eyes!

Agree1 Disagree0

To get his bags and go home in his car and go to sleep preparing for training in the morning.

Agree0 Disagree0

Like he does every game I was there he shook hands with a few stevernage players then went down the tunnel

Agree0 Disagree0

He put his TAP dancing shoes on GINGER GOLLUM gave him and danced his way to manchester.
BlueWarrior.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats where the changies are

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2013 22:19:27
anyone else see fellaini storm right down the tunnel after the game? didn't shake hands or applaud the fans, just right down the tunnel without looking at any supporter or team mate, he looked like he didn't to be there anymore

Believable9 Unbelievable5

Yeah I noticed it unfortunately, he's gone I think as much as it pains me to say it I think both him and baines are a done deal and we won't see either v cardiff

Agree1 Disagree0

He needed a SH*T especially after that performance from our lads tonight, I did see him shake the hand of the 4th official does that count towards anything apart from getting on the right side of them before he joins Utd.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes I said the same, he is off

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't agree. He looked made up when he scored and celebrated with his team. Hardly the body language of someone who doesn't care or wants to be here .

Agree1 Disagree0

Heard he had a pie in the oven and needs to get home . The lad run his socks off how can you question him like that?

Agree1 Disagree0

If he'd clapped the fans you'd be saying he's waving goodbye. He can't win whatever he does. Fickle football fans.

Agree1 Disagree0

Fans putting 2 and 2 together. They might be proved right, they might be wrong, but it's just idle speculation until something official is announced. Just be thankful we had him to score the winning goal this evening.
BaronHardup

Agree2 Disagree1

Sorry BaronHardup but he has been like this in all games in pre-season and in the league games too.He wants out, just let him go but make sure we have time to sign suitable replacement(s) in place.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Aug 2013 14:34:26
Maybe he was keen to log in here to see some of the *hit written about him eh? Dammed either way what ever he does.

Agree0 Disagree0

He looked delighted when he scored, didn't look like he wanted out. As another comment said, he can't win whatever he did, you would of taken whatever and made it out that it meant he'd be going

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2013 22:15:09
Need to get a grip people, cup games are tricky. But it's been said and split most blues but kone is an average journeyman. Stats prove it.

Believable12 Unbelievable2

No kone is the worst striker I've ever watched at everton, madar was bad so was max moore but kone takes the biscuit

Agree4 Disagree0

After 1 game? Scored more than jela, BT, Radz, Campbell, dunc, bent etc last yr so maybe he's not quite the worst. Maybe just lacking match fitness and is nervous for wanting to appease negative fans early doors.

Agree0 Disagree1

Kone was terrible tonight - worst striker I've seen in an Everton shirt. Oviedo wasn't much better.

Agree3 Disagree0

Yes he was shockin tonight, yes we were poor but let's give bobby a chance we can't ignore all our transfers cost 7ish mill.We need more players but weres the money, everyone else buyin strikers for 15ish mill, the problem with us blues is we want great players but they have to cost 3 mill and take 25 grand a week, there isn't a manager out there that could get success at the present Everton

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2013 22:14:09
Get in big fella a gud leaving present

Believable7 Unbelievable4

28 Aug 2013 22:13:36
And we really want to sell felli??

After tonight. No. We need him otherwise we become.light weight.

Believable11 Unbelievable0

28 Aug 2013 22:11:31
Can't blame Baines really, does he want a crack at winning the prem, champions league and playing with world class players or stay with what looks like Kone our big summer signing, I feel like it's going to be a long hard season under Roberto

Believable13 Unbelievable6

28 Aug 2013 22:32:38
utd have no chance of winning the prem or the champo and I mean NO chance and wants to play with world class players? who? cleverley? carrick? welbeck? we have imo fellaini who at his best is world class and mirallas who is world class when performing at his best and in terms of out and out defending i'd say jags is a world class defender but maybe youse won't think that because he isn't a good ball player like a hummels or a thiago silva wheras at utd van perise and rooney and maybe vidic at his best are in the group of world class players, you sure you aren't a united fan?

Agree1 Disagree1

All the buys look suspect so far - kone was never the answer - waste of 6m he adds nothing more than jelli / big victor was showing more promise than the pair of them - loan signing decent but its just a loan so o how far will this take us -
Poor prioritisation of transfer kitty bulking out the squad with journeymen - no imagination at any point -
- this style of football doesn't get results in the prem - look at all the times who try to play it - lucky to ever get top 10 mostly scrabbling down the bottom
Lack of goals and creating chances is a real issue - Norwich are leaking goals half decent organised side and were stuck passing the ball between our centre halves can one one tell roberto you win games by out scoring the opposition not boring us all by out assign them with sideways balls!

Agree2 Disagree0

28 Aug 2013 22:06:50
Wers our grit our passion kone naismith and
Ovieado r useless hope we get betta than
This otherwise we have had it on a good note
Jezza looks a gud en the boy got skills

Believable8 Unbelievable2

Oviedo is useless? Give yer head a wobble lad

Agree2 Disagree0

Yep to get that crap out me head just because they
In a everton shirt doesn't make them able to pass a dam football 4 games now he the next messi clean ya eyes out lad

Agree0 Disagree0

In English? Naismith and Oviedo had a good game tonight. I dunno what game you were watching but Naismith was everywhere.

Agree0 Disagree1

28 Aug 2013 22:05:52
Everton. The new Wigan. Or the old Wigan. You decide?!?!

Believable14 Unbelievable5

The new Yeovil after tonight.

Agree2 Disagree0

Maybe whelan had a plan to get shut of martinez by bigging him up so bk would bite.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2013 21:54:27
Couple of sites saying that Baines has asked Everton to agree a deal with United. Really hope it is not true - it seemed like it'd all gone quiet on the Baines front and I was starting to believe he might stay

Believable3 Unbelievable5

28 Aug 2013 21:42:15
Is this some sort of joke? Embarrassing! Pathetic! We're not going to win the league but we should be burying the likes of Stevenage, and at home! WTF is going on at our club, absolutely ridiculous! Get a grip Martinez or do one this is not Wigan!

Believable11 Unbelievable6

Hi AvitURS,

We miss your posts on the United page. Seems you're not so convinced any more that you had the best deal out of Martinez and Moyes? These things change quickly in football. Chin up, I genuinely think you guys will be OK this season.

HoneyBadger

Agree3 Disagree0

Take it you aren't at the game because by all accounts we have battered them

Agree1 Disagree0

No good if you can't put the ball in the back of the net though is it?

Agree1 Disagree0

We've got out of jail tonight, Martinez you need to seriously sort things out, not good enough!

Agree0 Disagree1

I don't see us having a threat if Fellaini goes.

Agree0 Disagree0

Same old story, why not play a full strength team out then when we are 2 up take off our most influential players. Also would of give them another 90 minutes together getting used to this new style.Oh well a win is a win I suppose.

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha, you are aware that under Moyes we had some absolutely embarrassing cup results (do I need to remind you of our two exits last season?), at least we progressed, which is all you really want in the cup isn't it?

Agree0 Disagree0

Was at the game tonight and was very very poor I actually thought players would play well having there chance in starting 11 oviedo, kone, naismith all bad I like osman but even he was bad tonight.we need not 1 player in but we need at least 4.on another note not a bad turn outt 22730 fans for the game.credit to stevenage they played very well and made us look crap at times.but hey chin up move on to a tuff match on saturday v cardiff

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2013 21:40:01
missing gibson badly need another 2 midfielders {Ed025's Note - + 4 defenders..4 midfielders. and 2 forwards on that showing!..

Believable14 Unbelievable2

28 Aug 2013 21:39:50
Tell you what folks, Wigan have had us off large with Kone, he's useless.
Don't sell big Vic just yet Roberto, he's better than Kone.

Believable16 Unbelievable4

Agreed. When will we realise that in general, most successful teams historically have been underpinned by a decent striker with a good ratio. Mancs never had one in their wilderness years and have almost always had one since. When was our last one? Probably Lineker (ironically winning the league with Wayne the year after). We should realise that all these £6m, £7m, £11m or whatever strikers are a false economy. I'm fed up with getting excited about signing a Beattie or a Yakubu and being sorely disappointed. It's like buying a house and if you buy a s@$# house in a crap area then no loft conversion or fancy kitchen will make you any money and you will still have a s&@# house. For all the financial problems that I still don't understand we have after all these years, I think it makes financial sense to splurge on a decent 25 goal a season man.
Browno

Agree0 Disagree0

In kones defence he is not fit. And to be honest every time I seen him at wigan he played right wing. Give him a chance lads.

Agree0 Disagree0

You're right, mate. Kone is definitely not fit.

Browno

Agree0 Disagree0

I came on here when Kone signed (Im a Wigan fan) saying that I could not believe you had paid 5/6 million for him and that Whelan would have cashed that cheque in a big hurry.

Hes lazy and has his first touch is really poor. When he turns up he's decent. Problem is he will only turn up 5 times a season.

Anyway good luck for the season, with Martinez you will need it.

Agree0 Disagree0

He played right wing on his debut as Di Santo played down the middle. His debut was the only time he did play right wing, so with the greatest of respect you either saw him once or don't know what your talking about.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2013 21:37:38
Spurs now in talks with Eriksen another midfielder, we desperately need a midfielder and after tonight's performance a goal scorer too!

Believable6 Unbelievable0

Believable11 Unbelievable6

29 Aug 2013 14:42:22
Three competitive games, and we have taken seventy shots or there abouts. Stats don't get points but anyone with half a brain must be able to see to take a shot you have to be in the position to do so. Sooner or later we are going to batter a team, then what will all the doom and gloom merchants whinge about?

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Aug 2013 18:55:31
problem is the amount of those 70 shots on target. our strikers need shooting practice. The days of putting your goalie in net before the game for 1/2 an hour and get your strikers to try to score past him from both inside and outside the box. defenders up close and personal against the striker should create the pressure illusion of the game too. Would certainly get Jelly man firing in those 1 touch goals, where his 2nd touch was his celebration! CraigHuytonBlue

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Aug 2013 20:59:09
Doom and gloom reply, your cup half empty for sure.

To record seventy shots must be some kind of positive,

Think negatively and that's what you will only see

Believable6 Unbelievable2

28 Aug 2013 20:46:10
The way I see it is if sky or OS are not reporting about Baines apparent transfer request then it is merely speculation, why would it be leaked to a journo and not to sky who have a monopoly on the Prem?

Believable9 Unbelievable0

28 Aug 2013 19:33:06
Just to take us off the baines and felli debate, but anichebe not even in the squad tonight! I haven't heard of any injury, and tonight's game would have been ideal for him. Perhaps he is off to hull after all. What u heard ED? {Ed025's Note - they want him mate, but are short of funds..

Believable14 Unbelievable0

I heard this rumour about Vic off to Hull weeks ago from a guy who owns a sports management company. Believed him when he told me but heard nothing of it till now, 5 mill was the figure he quoted.

Kev

Agree2 Disagree0

5 mil they can have kone for that if they want

Agree2 Disagree0

Kone is poo keep big vic

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2013 19:28:06
Where are people getting the rubbish from how I see it is utd have previously put in a bid for baines and then a double bid for fellaini and baines that's it we have turned down both bids and have stated no need to sell to raise money those are the facts sky will be first to know if any news and if baines put transfer request I would not of thought he would be in squad tonight

Believable5 Unbelievable1

28 Aug 2013 20:42:18
moyes played lescott after he asked to go to city!

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2013 19:12:47
Is it just me or does anyone else see a pattern here? On the eve of the first game of the season Utd put in a stupid bid for Baines and the wig.

On the run up to and on the eve of the second game of the season the press led by the Daily Manchester banging on about Utd and Moyes putting in an improved offer for both but if that fails then they will move for the wig.

Now the thrid game of the season a couple of hours before kick off the press claim Baines has banged in a transfer request?

If it turns out not to be true, then is it the biggest coincidence of all time or a concerted effort to destabilize the team and force the issue?

Believable16 Unbelievable0

You're not alone WtG. I was thinking the same thing, southern based journalists in united's pocket and payroll, unsettling players. Disgraceful way to go about things.

I totally agree with you both. I wonder what Fridays news will be, probably another double bid by the ginger gollum

Mike Hughes was on the radio and rubbished the report about Baines handing in his transfer request

Agree0 Disagree1

This might be everton letting this out, so when Felliani goes and Baines stays .it makes us look strong .either way the timing of this article makes it very dodgy if he's been edging for a move from the start of pre season the Manchester United press wagon would have well got hold of it by now and this story would have been out weeks ago, by the way Baines is on the bench 2 nite, wouldn't be near the squad if he was hell bent on leaving

Agree0 Disagree0

Could be worse, could've been announced just before a game and unsettled the team and angered the fans. I say play him tonight and cup tie him.

Agree1 Disagree0

28 Aug 2013 18:54:19
if its true that baines wants a move, what would be the price we would want or get for him with the market being as it is.b.k if he goes please don't let him go for stupid money, got to be 15mil surely.

Believable0 Unbelievable3

28 Aug 2013 18:48:00
Read the story in the Independent again. Not one quote.
They have to fill the papers with something.

Believable8 Unbelievable0

Regardless if he has made the request then sell him. once a players head is turned there's no point keeping them. I have every confidence that in Bryan Oviedo and John Stones we have great players so if he wants to go and the price is right sell him and if he does nt wanna go then keep him. its win win as far as i'm concerned. obviosuly they can't match bainesy yet but they will.jcl

Agree1 Disagree0

28 Aug 2013 18:47:17
hi ed sad news about baines but when you have your head turned and been tapped up as he must have been with phone calls from the traitor moyes I carnt blame him I think he loves everton but he knows that his time is short to get champs league football and trophies only person I blame is that moyes I say we give him the stick noT baines coyb

The Independent's chief football correspondent Sam Wallace has tweeted: Leighton Baines has asked Everton to agree deal with Manchester United.

Am with you mate I can see this being another tactic by the mancs to unsettle him. Again just before another game does stories of our two players going to Utd surface if it happens ill believe it once it is released in a club statement or I hear it from the horses mouth. If they do go it needs sorting now so we have time to get replacements in and the price is £45mill for the pair no less. Pay up or p#@s off.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes try and agree a 30million transfer, that's what he's worth to us.

Sam Wallace wrote a fairly limited piece last week basically mocking EFC for their outrage at the fabled derisory bid. The man is clearly ultra pro manc w@$#, and could well be doing favours for future favours back. 'The Independent'? How can you trust a newspaper that even lies in it's own name?

Can't believe Baines has done this. Surprised just one paper has the exclusive, leads me to think he is a Utd yes man. His profile pic on twitter is him interviewing Rafael.
Until Baines himself or the club make a statement I would not trust it.
Feel for you Eds this announcement by the Independent could cause a melt down on here.

The Everton defender Leighton Baines has asked his manager Roberto Martinez and the club's chairman Bill Kenwright to agree a deal to sell him to Manchester United, The Independent understands.

Believable5 Unbelievable7

I don't know if this is true or not, but if either Felli or Baines want to go we need to do as other clubs have this summer and insist that they hand in an official transfer request, therefore waiving a significant chunk of both they and there agents pay-off.

Agree1 Disagree0

Just had a text message to say this has been mentioned on radio city. Won't believe it until he either comes out and says same in public or until he is seen at utds training complex. Out of the two players they have tapped up, I really believe(d) that Felli is the one who would hand in request. Hope this is just lazy journalism

Agree2 Disagree0

Is this true ed25 {Ed025's Note - allegedly it was announced on radio city..

Agree1 Disagree0

It's a bold statement that leaves him open to liable if false. He does not even say its believed he says its happened. Personally think he may have had a pay off from Utd to cause trouble hope so. He is our messi

Svenny

Agree0 Disagree0

Probably lies. They say he told RM first day of preseason and only now it's coming to light? I'll believe it when he's at the theatre of wet dreams.

Agree0 Disagree0

Interesting to note the time he allegedly told RM he wanted to go actually predates Manchester United interest, which suggests it's bollox and has since been denied by Everton

a web site reporting that us and Spurs are interested in the services of Christien Eriksen, with other sources stating that 10 million would be enough for the cut price deal, due to his contract expiring at the end of the season. It's a long shot, but if Lars Jacobsen puts in a good word for us, you never know.

Believable1 Unbelievable4

Hmm Spurs or Everton, that's a tough decision for him (NOT).Even being a big optimist i'd be amazed if he chose us.Thats also not including half of europe that are also after him!

Mirallas chose us over Arsenal, down to playing time, and they were in the Champions league. Look how many midfielders spurs have, defiantly worth a try, even if the odds are very slim.

I think what the OP is trying to say is that Fellaini is staying (which I doubt) but the latta part I think he is saying if he did go who would we get that would settle straight away.

The answer to that is no matter who comes into the club they need time to settle. so know one would settle straight away.

Ed would you prefer Fellaini to stay and sign no one else or Fellaini leaves for say £25m and we get in McCarthy, Marrone and another attacking minded player like Moses?

The way I see is if we have a deal with liege to give them 20% of sell on fee, then we have to sell fellaini for more than 29 million to make a profit. If we sell for 30 we only get 24 and will have paid liege 23.5 including that 20%. Ed is this 20%, if so no fee would be enough
Andrew {Ed025's Note - they only get 20% of the profit i believe andrew, which at £20m would be £1.25m mate..

Believable0 Unbelievable1

I think 20% of 20 million is 4 million.
So we would make a profit of 1 million? {Ed025's Note - we paid £15M, so the profit would be £5m...so 20% of that is £1m to Leige...would leave a £4m profit harv..

Hopefully that's 50% of the matches that he is available for or we may get mugged off if he gets a couple of injuries BlueClarkey

So far no real surprises we have bought two ex Wigan players, one free transfer, and 1 loan player. The leaving has all been about Baines and Fellaini. If I am honest half the players that we are linked with I have never heard of but that's because I don't play FIFA13 or the like I guess. The other McCarthy looks good, but not the value the press Keep reporting.

So what next? Firstly, this years transfer dynamics have been dominated by nothing actually happening very much apart from the big money clubs buying the players only they can afford. I believe Fellaini will go soon for circa £20m plus add ons simply because we don't really want him and we can cash in at a semi respectable price. The release clause only works if someone is prepared to pay it and nobody was so his market value is sub £23m unless interest from Arsenal or the like starts an auction.

We will then buy I suspect McCarthy at the right price and someone who will be a game changer. We have not had a plan B player for years so let's hope we find one. Of course like everyone else I am waiting for a surprise package! Right now I think losing Baines is still a threat. He can say he is staying and the club can offer him an enhanced contract. As neither has happened watch this space.
