Lots of rumours tonight the latest one being generated is that despite Norwich and Swansea having bids accepted for Redmond he has told Birmingham that he wants to join Everton. Any substance Ed or simply more rumours? {Ed007's Note - I'd say tomorrows chips wrapper Joe}

Believable7 Unbelievable2

Nathan. Redmond wants a move to Everton source. sh!tty down-market tabloid

Believable7 Unbelievable1

I can confirm Steve Bruce wants big Vic, Martinez has told him he can leave. Hull will offer 6mill and give him a pay rise to 32k a week. He's roughly on 26k with us.

Believable10 Unbelievable7

Just read that back to yourself mate!

Agree0 Disagree0

No secret that Martinez looked at signing Vic for Wigan so not sure hewould be looking to offload him. As for 6 million, sorry but I can't see anyone giving anywhere near that.

Agree0 Disagree0

We should be giving him a long term contract, we don't call him baby drogba for nothing

Agree0 Disagree0

"we don't call him baby drogba for nothing"? Is that because when Drogba was 3months old he couldn't control a ball or shoot either?

Agree0 Disagree0

If we can get cash for him take it quick he's useless

Agree0 Disagree0

Big vic was our best player last season now that baines is going

Apparently talks are undergone between efc and Sinclair, fer as Norwich have activated, Kone tv reported and Honda a bid made. Alcaraz or manga will join. Ed?

Believable7 Unbelievable5

Sinclair will not be coming here, Kone will undergo a medical sometime next week, just the fee to be agreed, Everton have contacted CSKA about Honda but will not meet the £6m price tag this summer, Alcaraz will have a medical next week but won't sign until the last few weeks of July, Ecuele Manga is not a target.

Agree0 Disagree0

1st reply, and how do you know all that?

Agree0 Disagree0

6 mn for this guy is a steal. Regardless of how many months left, it is irrelevant. Once you had him there would be no buyers remorse. Just because you MIGHT get him for free in 6 months shouldn't remove the value of securing the player for the nominated fee. Hope we see that and invest.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreed we won't get him for free in January

Agree0 Disagree0

Friend of a friend stuff Mike, sometimes get the odd slurge of information every now and then, it just so happens we was talking about all them players and more 2 days ago.

£15m plus Buttner

Believable0 Unbelievable12

No thanks he' crap

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2013 22:14:10
No 30m 25m for baines and 5m to have buttner god people have forgotten about oviedo and he is twice the player buttner is

Agree0 Disagree0

Baines should not be sold for any less than 20mill. Get luke shaw in if he leaves.

Agree0 Disagree0

Im not a Manchester United fan but I reckon buttner will be a miles better player than baines the lad is like a tank and will only improve would be over the moon if my club got him {Ed0he finished art25's Note - baines is the finished article mate..buttner has potential, which counts for nothing..

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2013 21:38:55
Anyone think this Baines bid and rejection is positive PR agreed between Moyes and BK to add some positive weight to the 'we are in a good position' sound bytes?

Believable12 Unbelievable9

No, I think utd want Baines and within 2 weeks he will be at OT.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope not. Every player has a price. But I think he and Jags are not replaceable with the transfer fees they will generate. Felli is immense but can be replaced for 24 mn. Not worried about that.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jun 2013 12:19:06
reading far too much into this as being conspiricy by moyes and kenwright. just read it as being what it is. moyes admires baines as would any other manager around the world. evra is getting older and utd need a replacement. baines is one of the best left backs in the world. utd make a bid. everton reject all offers for him. baines wears efc shirt against norwich 1st game of season. end od discussion. craighuytonblue

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2013 21:34:27
All the stupid anti BK brigade using this as a chance to sound off. You are pathetic.

Believable14 Unbelievable11

27 Jun 2013 21:29:01
£17mill plus Hernandez.

Believable6 Unbelievable14

Rumour or request.?

Agree0 Disagree0

I would take 20 mill and hernandez

Agree0 Disagree0

For who?

Agree0 Disagree0

That's not going to happen though if it absolutely has to happen (Baines to Utd) then I'd take him in a straight swap. Their market values are very similar.

Agree0 Disagree0

For Anichebe?! :P

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2013 21:52:18
To the "straight swap poster"

I wouldn't have put my name to that post either

Degsy

Agree0 Disagree0

What's wrong with a straight swap IF Baines was to leave? Their market values are identical. Now, I'd prefer he didn't leave but if he did then I'd take him over Fabio, Welbeck or any other crab Moyes is likely to offer if it were a swap deal. We could do a lot worse and get £12-£15m. Hernandez is young, pacey and clinical in front of goal.
Oh, and If you have to patronise people then that says a lot about you.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2013 22:17:56
So we get rid of the best left back in the world in exchange for uniteds 4th choice striker god so much for trying to show ambition

Agree0 Disagree0

£20m plus Hernandez? Can you get anymore deluded?

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm shocked at this link! Everyone knows you pay a premium for strikers compared to defenders! Hernandez has scored 33 goals in 77 games for Utd a lot of these as substitute and then 35 goals in 53 games for Mexico! I love Bainses to bits but swap for a top striker that scores for fun! Yes please.

Stu

Agree0 Disagree0

I didn't say it was ideal re Hernandez and Baines, it was just my personal opinion and preference should Baines depart. And another thing Hernandez has just turned 25 and would have a resale value. If we kept Baines and tied him to a long term contract then we wouldn't get a fee for him if he honoured that contract. Isn't this what the club want to keep turning over the playing staff and making profits? I know he's worth more to the team than Utd will offer but I'd take it, personally.

Agree0 Disagree0

And Skittle wind your neck in, you seem to wait to pounce on peoples posts with vitriol and bile and are extremely aggressive.

It's like your opinion is gospel and always right.

Well, my friend, I feel you should respect other peoples opinions without jumping down peoples throats because you happen to disagree with them.

Agree0 Disagree0

United fan in peace. I'm not convinced of the so called sources about this Baines bid as I had read of a gentleman's agreement for Moyes not to take any players with him.

To be honest I'm not too fussed about getting him either. Great player but we need to improve other areas as a higher priority - central midfield being the obvious one.

Lastly. The straight swap poster makes a lot of sense. Very few left backs go for £15m let alone those nearly 30 but lots of forwards do as goals win games. I doubt Hernandez is going anywhere and if he did it would be to Spain or Italy. You can have Nani and Anderson - ha!

Ben {Ed025's Note - i happen to rate anderson ben..but lets get it straight, moyes has not moved for baines...old strawberry nose upstairs has!, moyes is his puppet, and is doing as he is told..

Agree0 Disagree0

Pains me to say it, but I'm with the Manc on this one. I think you'll find that by the end of the transfer window, Baines WILL have moved to United and Chicharito WILL have moved away from Old Trafford (but not to us). both fees will be pretty similar.

I also think that Nani and Anderson are nowhere near good enough for United but would improve our squad no end.

I can't bear the thought of another summer transfer window just hoping that we cling on to our most saleable assets while everyone around us including Norwich, Swansea, Cardiff, Villa etc spends to improve their squads.

We are becoming a joke!

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jun 2013 08:54:51
So your complaining about respecting peoples opinion but if I post mine then that makes me aggressive? Jeez mate show some love

Agree0 Disagree0

I think £20m plus fabio or buttner so we have good money and no need to spend on replacement as we already have oviedo too
Cheeks

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jun 2013 09:58:51
So we are becoming a joke by not selling baines? i'd rather we kept baines and improved the squad then sold him and improved it

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jun 2013 10:57:48
i just don't agree that we should swap baines for hernandez and I know i'm not always right I was wrong about gibson, wrong about heitinga and wrong about coleman

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2013 21:19:12
Ed do you know if there is any truth in the rumour that Leroy Fer is signing for Norwich early next week? {Ed025's Note - its just a rumour at the moment joe..

Believable3 Unbelievable7

Could it be a ploy by his representatives to kick start Everton into action? I think there's a good chance of that being the case. Time will tell

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jun 2013 12:03:53
According to a few on twitter he's going to sign for Everton not Norwich

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2013 21:15:36
Any one know what the prospective sites BK was looking at for the new ground are? CKBlue {Ed025's Note - it sounds to me like stanley park mate..

Believable6 Unbelievable3

I would hazard a guess at, Wonga. com, or paydayshark. co. uk et al! can't see any other way of us affording it! lol

Everton will do battle with Norwich over fer. Everton will win the race

Believable11 Unbelievable12

Fer won't go to Norwich. there s***! He has to come 2 us. COYB

Agree0 Disagree0

Fer failed medical why would the medical team do a u turn and look a bunch of prats?

Agree0 Disagree0

Fer didn't fail a medical. we tried to restructure the deal using a knee injury as an excuse (we knew about it before the medical). Twente took the hump and as it was so close to end of window, we couldn't close the deal. Plenty of time this time round.

Whether Martinez rates him or not is another question, Fer was Moyes' pick and is only really a viable choice should Martinez continue with Felli up front (or sell him). Personally I think Felli will stay another year and Martinez will drop him back to CM.

Priority therefore a striker or number 10.

Looks like Honda is off to Molan ed

Believable8 Unbelievable13

Molan what league are they in.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2013 20:55:30
Rooney for Baines.

Believable11 Unbelievable15

Yes and they can pay his wages for the first year lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Rooney + 15mill. think about it

Agree0 Disagree0

Moyes is still our manager technically how can he do this the t*** hope to god baines stays

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2013 20:37:07
Milan aren't showing an interest in Honda according to reports, surely he's ours now ed? {Ed025's Note - lets hope so mike..

Believable7 Unbelievable6

Gallaini has already said he's interested, but would need to sell first to afford him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope we don't dither on this get him in quick, he'll be a great signing to pull off.

Agree0 Disagree0

Gallaini ruled the transfer out before.

Agree0 Disagree0

'In a recent interview with La Gazzetta, Galliani said that he would have to see who will stay or go at Milan, adding that Balotelli is untouchable, but that he'll need to talk to Stephan El Shaarawy about his future once he gets back from Brazil.
Continuing, he admitted that there is interest in Japanese playmaker Keisuke Honda - noting that there will have to be a few sales to be able to afford him. '

Doesn't sound like he's ruling it out to me.

Agree0 Disagree0

He probably meant he's not signing him until players are sold, come on Everton be quick.

Agree0 Disagree0

He didn't rule it out just explained they need to sell first. If we move quickly then we have a sligh chance but I can't see it coming off sadly.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jun 2013 12:05:46
Ed0025, Honda will obviously replace Fellaini when he leaves in the hole/2nd striker position, but if Baines leaves who would you sign? Or will that lad from Copenhagen replace him? Thanks.

Sydney! {Ed025's Note - he would be hard to replace syd, i would give oviedo a shot before buying anyone..

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2013 20:13:54
rumour leeroy fer going to norwich

Believable5 Unbelievable13

Who fkn cares am sick of every min of this end of season so far, if fer wants norwich gr8 hope they get him, or feli off baines off, the players I root for shout for, wear and everton shirts when the season starts

Agree0 Disagree0

Correct if I am wrong but didn't Bill say all the players are under contract except one who has a get out clause. This being the case will he stick by his word and not sell Leighton our star man

Agree0 Disagree0

What a lot of crap lol

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2013 18:59:29
Do you expect united to make an improved bid for baines ed? {Ed025's Note - yes i do mate..

Believable12 Unbelievable2

You have said it ED everybody is for sale at the right price. It is only a matter of time before utd come back in with a better offer. The ball hopefully will be in Bainsies court and it will be his decision. Unfortunately I fear it will be BK who makes the decision and I fear money talks gutted gutted blue nose tonight {Ed025's Note - he has not gone yet mate..he loves the club, and i think he will stay...just my view..

Agree0 Disagree0

Why doesn't moyes do the right thing by us and do one and leave us alone. manc scummer.

Agree0 Disagree0

Isnt moyes still are manager! {Ed025's Note - i see your point..

Agree0 Disagree0

Why is it every summer, even when we should be excited about a new manager and players, everything is overshadowed by possible sales which we all know usually ends up in us losing one of our best. Stand up Kenwright and stop us being uniteds feeder club!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Had huge respect for moyes, he's lost a massive amount of that now for me. £20 million should be the price if we had transfer listed him and way more as we haven't. we don't want to sell and bainesy won't be one to act like the wrist kisser across the park so stick to our guns and keep hold, he's not only a great player he is a massive part of how we play, much more difficult to replace him then feli.

Young rocky

Agree0 Disagree0

Unless baines comes out and says he wants to leave then he should not be sold, i'm 50/50 on BK but if he pushes threw the sale I would be done with him

MikeDeBlue

Agree0 Disagree0

So united have made an offer so does this mean moyse turned down the offer as he is still employed by us lol

Boney blue

Agree0 Disagree0

Heard it here first. rooney is being lined up on this deal. moyes really wants baines and rooney doenst want to be at man u {Ed025's Note - 1 word...wages..

Agree0 Disagree0

It's called negotiation utd bid 12 m we will ask 20 it will probably end up near 15 -16 Moyes knows we need the money at 28 Baines is at his prime, prefer he stays but the money still represents 3 good squad players or one good player

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't want 3 squad players its pointless and drops the quality of the team

Agree0 Disagree0

Baines made 116 chances for team mates last year. This is highest rating in top 5 European leagues. So how much does the best left back in Europe cost. Got to be 20M plus in my opinion. Also heard Baines has fever really got on well with Moyes so wouldn't be surprised if he stayed. Jack Carter

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jun 2013 12:05:26
Ed0025, I do not think MU would have bid for Baines unless he had agreed to join in principle via his agent. MU always do their homework first.

Sydney! {Ed025's Note - they are testing our resolve syd..baines is happy..

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2013 18:58:28
Lets be honest now moyes will get baines they will increase offer. Felli and baines probably go. Were doomed {Ed025's Note - you sound like private frazer from dads army..

Believable8 Unbelievable9

27 Jun 2013 18:41:14
Hearing baines to united is going to happen fee I am hearing is 15 million rising to 18 million with add ons hope its not true

Believable4 Unbelievable14

It's not going to happen, the bid has been rejected.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its as good as done he's going to go simple as {Ed025's Note - bit premature that..

Agree0 Disagree0

Bainesys nan is my mans sister and were hearing a fee of 15 million rising to 18 million will be completed before season starts believe me or don't either way am not losing any sleep still hope it doesn't happen but football is a business.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm hearing b*******, we are in the driving seat here. Leighton hasn't asked to go, we don't need to sell (apparently). So ignore them, staged payments my arse.

Agree0 Disagree0

Stop moaning, we've come out and said he's not for sale hence he's NOT FOR SALE, if they go back on this then there's going to be more controversy from the fans and after what's happened with the badge can people see the club doing this?

MikeyEFC

Agree0 Disagree0

Baines is 27-28 I'm afraid money talks he'll soon have no resale value. What you have to remember is that everton FC is a business so you can't rule it out. Even though they have said they don't have to sell and baines has said he is looking forward to working with Martinez.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2013 18:21:36
tv now reporting that 'kone's' agents have said we are in for him & that he wants to come to everton. let's hope the other one we are in for is 'Honda' to make up for the first transfer disappointment of the summer!

Believable2 Unbelievable5

No thanks Kone, Awfully average player - 12 goals - wow. An older version of Victor Anichebe me thinks?

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreed we can douch better wasn't Martinez linked with buying Anichibe last year?

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2013 18:12:00
Typical bk he gives us a load of toffee at agm then gives his mate moyes the nod to start negotiations for our best player baines i'm gutted and sick of bk {Ed025's Note - its been rejected..so hows that the nod?..

Believable4 Unbelievable9

You obviously know nothing about how transfers work, do you!

Agree0 Disagree0

Come on eds he's gone its just a case of how much. {Ed025's Note - if i was as premature as you mate...the wife would be very frustrated :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol like it, but you are being nieve if you think tranfers aren't talked about by clubs behind the scenes and the players, no bid for baines unless he or his agent gave a favourable response

Agree0 Disagree0

Spot on mate, just like moyes going to utd. That was sorted at christmas and left us high and dry for any compensation. If you guys really don't believe it goes on behind the scenes, you might aswell close this site down now. because your everything is done in the open

Agree0 Disagree0

The simple question for all Bill Kenwright haters. Who do you wants in his place? Constantly smiling, hands in the air waving Asian businessman who knows fa about the club / area and ends up ditching the blue in favour of etc. etc. etc.

Agree0 Disagree0

How about trophies. I don't care who owns us

Agree0 Disagree0

Aka Blackburn?

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2013 17:34:49
listen everton aren't signing fer he was a moyes target

Believable7 Unbelievable5

Listen, you have no proof.

Agree0 Disagree0

Never the less he still was an Everton target

Agree0 Disagree0

Rumour fer is going to norwich

Agree0 Disagree0

'WAS' a target - not anymore. bye bye

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2013 17:27:20
Sorry to say that the bid for Baines seems genuine. Best we can hope for is Blue Bill holding out for 15 mill and ploughing the money straight into buying new players. Fellaini next

Believable8 Unbelievable9

If they let him go this will be a signal for all other half decent players wanting to leave and we will be worse than wigan. a selling club only. before that happens I will refuse to ever enter goodison again while that liar is at the helm of our club

Agree0 Disagree0

Blue bill has sold us down river again, baines is gone we are hust pushing price up {Ed025's Note - what part of not for sale dont you understand?..

Agree0 Disagree0

Even if we agree to sell him who says he will want to go I think he likes it at us and the grass isn't always greener ask pienarr and jeffers

Agree0 Disagree0

See you later baines an fellani. kone an konchesky coming in. kenwright will put most of the money in his bank! {Ed025's Note - sigh..

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm sure Bill knows what will happen to his pets if he tries to sell Baines, but he's talking Champions League and even Bill knows we can't do it without Baines. Though in the end it will come down to what Leighton wants to do. He's already said he's looking forward to playing under Martinez in August. I think (hope massively) he'll stay.

Agree0 Disagree0

Everton fans are the most pessimistic in the country, they turned the bid down, all the bill kenwright hatere would do well to remember the peter Johnson days, they weren't that long ago you know, and no player is irreplaceable, Arteta went, we haven't missed him, lescott went and we actually got a better player for a quarter of the money city paid us for him, I like Baines a lot and personally think he will need to be pushed out of the door, and I just don't see it happening, Fellaini on the other hand will go, and will be easily replaced, Moyes destroyed Jelaviv last season by insisting on playing felli up front, he slow all our play down.

Agree0 Disagree0

Kopites are flooding the site again.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not a kopite by the way, just telling it like it is, evertonians moan about us having no money, but plenty of them are willing to bunk in on match days, they constantly moan about kenwright and the board when it's plain and simple we don't have the kind of fanbase to generate enough money to compete for the top players who can win trophys year in year out, so we try to do it another way, we are a shining example in the money mad era, look at some of the teams who've invested heavily, Sunderland, Newcastle, Villa etc, they spent big and found out pretty quicky it does not guarantee anything, there were people on here last year when Adam Johnson signed for Sunderland moaning that we'd missed out, the only reason anyone thought he was any good was because Man city bought him because he was over hyped to death, bombs at city, goes to sunderland for 10 mill and is average there aswell!

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2013 17:21:24
Everton insist Leighton Baines is not for sale despite Manchester United showing interest in the player.

Believable13 Unbelievable3

27 Jun 2013 17:19:37
see bony going to Swansea good money at 11 mill that's the sort of explosive forward we want missed out again steviedon

Believable9 Unbelievable2

We can't miss out on someone when you don't even know if we had genuine interest in them.

Agree0 Disagree0

Is that a done deal? He would have been an ideal signing for us. Shows how little cash we have to spend until the Sky money turns up. Let's desperately hope a top striker has a row with a manager in very late August, when we usually do our business. In the meantime, we HAVE to get Honda. I'll pick him up from the airport myself, if needs be.

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe this is why the Baines bid has been publicised before July 1st

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2013 17:11:08
Just heard some news that all us everton fans have been dreading - Man united have made a bid of 10-12 million for Leighton baines being widely reported now on most media sites. let's hope it's not true & nothing materializes & that ken right stands up to moyes for once & tells him where to go, we cannot afford to let our most consistent player go, I for 1 think that baines will excel under martinezs style of football! {Ed025's Note - the club have said he is not for sale zac...but everybody is for the right price..

Believable5 Unbelievable1

I agree ed, but not to that traitor moyes! Anyway, I think Barnes is worth 20+ million!

Moyes sniffing round Baines for 12m. Aged 28 it might possibly be worth a gamble if Bill gives Rob all the money to spend. However, I would rather we kept him and tell Davie to swivel.

Believable2 Unbelievable6

27 Jun 2013 17:25:03
that price is an insult, Moyes taking advantage of inside knowledge from what I can see!

Agree0 Disagree0

Worth a gamble I don't care how much they offer. Baines is by far our most important player. 12m doesn't even but you Jordan Henderson these days, how can anybody say its a good deal.

Agree0 Disagree0

No no no we are building a team not selling and why do want to sell to that liar motes. anyhow did not billy boy say we are keeping our squad together and adding 2-3 players.
Come on Kenright its time to stand up and be counted.

Agree0 Disagree0

They paid £22m for RVP - at 29 years old. Baines is just as good but in a different way, so £12m is an insult. £20m is an insult considering how good we know he is for us. He works in our club, so don't risk having to start again in the LB position.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2013 19:38:14
£12 Mill and the brazilian twins Fabio and Raphael and I'd consider it. Then buy fer and a striker with the £12 mill {Ed025's Note - they can stick their £12m...and jedward..

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2013 16:57:45
Okay
I posted confirming Martinez before he signed. and also told you that Manchester United can't sign our players as agreed. So Baines to Utd not going to happen and Nor felliani to Utd. However if we get a bid from Arsenal or another Champions League Team at the release trigger amount, then Utd can bid. I can tell you we have no offers for either player so far. We are not looking to sell either player. Expect 2 or 3 players coming in but no major players leaving. Hope that clams all the Baines to Utd RUBBISH

Believable5 Unbelievable3

If that's not a contradiction of epic proportions I don't know what is. And if you don't leave your name, nobody will believe anything you say.
Dex

Agree0 Disagree0

Rubbish. Moyes was out of contract we could not have inserted such a clause as there was no leg for us to stand on had we wanted one.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jun 2013 01:27:22
Moyes may have made a gentlemans agreement but what yoi described contains a glaring loophole of just asking another club to bid as a favour.

Ben (United fan not too bothered about Baines, not because he's not decent but because we need to spend elsewhere. )

Agree0 Disagree0

Man utd have made a 12m bid for Baines what most reports are saying

Believable4 Unbelievable3

27 Jun 2013 16:53:55
According to the times united have made a bid in the region of 10 to 12 mil for Baines. Triple the amount offered Mr. Moyes then you might, just might, get a sniff of his left toe nail.

Believable4 Unbelievable2

27 Jun 2013 16:49:38
To those of you who don't know, you can buy baby Everton kits from Everton Direct. They are a 'non-Nike' product. They are basically the new kit minus the Chang and the Nike tick. You get the shirt and the shorts for £20. Looks pretty good. I think it's 6 months and up.

I'm hopin the felli transfer issue doesn't drag on. Either he goes early or he stays end of. Must admit i'm worried about the wigan players bein linked strongly. I watched a bit of leroy fer and he looks good to me and have been impressed with honda to. Just hope physically he'd be strong enough for our league. Talent wise not an issue for me. Striker wise i'd like some pace and finishin as I think jelly and vic have power. Everythin is just rumour at the min and with rm bein away at the con fed cup I think well I hope he has plenty of ideas and back up plans for the silly transfer season ahead. Keep up the good work ed's i'm on here every spare minute lookin for an everton signin lol {Ed025's Note - im with you on the felli business dave, it must be sell early..or not at all!..

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Will do what we usually do, sell last min and bring nobody in!

Has Felli priced himself out of a move to Arse and if he has, has that blown Bill's budget?

Everton have offered €7m to buy Honda, meanwhile Milan have offered €2. You heard about this Ed? {Ed025's Note - not specific amounts george..

2 Euros ;) {Ed025's Note - sounds like moyes is doing milans bidding.. :)

Hearing that Moyes have launched a 12m bid for Baines. I really hope we tell that ginger person where to go. Remember Dave "We don't sell Cheap" {Ed025's Note - if its true, i hope he gets told where to stick it!..

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Mr Moyes- 'Everton don't sell cheap'. Come back with £25m and we MAY consider it.

Do one Moyes! Two faced *******!

Agree0 Disagree0

Bid rejected

Agree0 Disagree0

Im sure I said Ginger person ed. All the same this is no way for Moyes to behave. Fell very let down. {Ed025's Note - the word "traitor" springs to mind..

Agree0 Disagree0

Get real, nobody pays 25m for a fullback no matter how good they are. We will have to offer him a new 5 year deal, if he signs it all well and good, if he wants to go we will have to take 12-15m like it or not or lose him for about 5 this time next year. Sorry guys just telling it how it is.

I think the 2 players we enquired about are Honda and Kone. I wonder what the chances are that we will see one of them next season along with Fer.

We should try and go for some younger players and not alcaraz a 30 year old playing for Wigan.

Chances out of 10 of landing these, Ed:

Kone
Honda
Fer
Alcaraz
Mcgeady {Ed025's Note - 7..7..6..7..5

They're good chances!

Read that we are going back in for n'zonzi - not a preference of mine, he seems a bit too hostile with attitude

Believable0 Unbelievable7

27 Jun 2013 17:40:01
take him all day long as a combative midfield player and adds height at corners and free kicks. Suppose we are looking because felli's imminent departure. If we can fund 3/4 players for the sale of one player then so be it. Think back to when we sold Shreik to UTD, I included thought it was our worst decision, but this propelled us into 4th the following season as we strengthened the team with multiple signings (note not all were big name players either - quite similar as to what we are being touted for at present). I predict a good season of attractive football ahead this year, and hopefully a top four finish too.

Hearing reports that CSKA Moscow have accepted our £5 million bid for Honda and will fly in this month for a medical. just to clarify we have had to pay because his contract is until January and various clubs are after him. Not sure how good the sources are just informing you all that I've heard

Believable5 Unbelievable5

As much as I want him I can't see us getting him, with Milan in the running they can offer more

Agree0 Disagree0

Seems like a lot of money for somebody with 6 months left on his contract.

Agree0 Disagree0

Really hope this is true. If we sign him my head will explode.

Liam

Agree0 Disagree0

Clearly made that up

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope it's true mate

Agree0 Disagree0

Heard from who? A mate, club employee?

Agree0 Disagree0

Really hope so. This guy is pure quality on the field and a commercial opportunity off the field.

Can play in short confined space which will combine well with Ossie, Pienaar etc, will increase our opportunities to get in behind defenses due to the creativity of his passing, and can hit a ball viscously from distance.5mn well spent if it comes off.

Agree0 Disagree0

What reports are they Aaron? Pure fantasy lad! Now, a deal for Honda may yet materialise but there isn't one iota of evidence or one report to say we've had a bid accepted. Of course, as always, I stand to be corrected.

Agree0 Disagree0

TomD would you rather we left it and missed out and pay a lot more for someone of his standard or sign him for 5m?

Agree0 Disagree0

My pants will

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd love to get Honda, all I said was 5 mil seems a lot to pay for him considering his contract situation, Milan are offering just over a million for him. TomD

Hearing Fer is just a smokescreen to try and nab Victor Wanyama from Celtic.

Believable8 Unbelievable10

Id take either of them

Agree0 Disagree0

If you want to splash money on his agent as well, good luck to you!

Agree0 Disagree0

I really want us to go for Wanyama he is top class and possibly the only reason I would buy the new kit, I mean what a name

Agree0 Disagree0

Much rather have Fer and not sure how someone we've already tried to sign twice can be a smoke screen for other targets.

Agree0 Disagree0

How would this help?

Hope so, better than fer IMO

Martinez is starting to do what I feared most signing dross from his relegated scrap heap Kone? how many years out of him The Paraquyan 30 year old on a free transfer this is a joke surely.

Believable8 Unbelievable9

Relax, IMWT

Agree0 Disagree0

Kone is better than what we've got and hopefully a top marquee forward alongside him. Alcaraz just beefing up our squad. Hopefully get Honda and either McCarthy or fer to replace fellaini. New centre back and keeper job done

Agree0 Disagree0

'needs must' and 30 is no age if the price is right. He's only going to bring the best guys from wigan that he thinks are better than what we have.
Distin must only have 1-2 more seasons in him and we had no forward last year so Kone is definitely better than Jela (on present form or vic) - if we'd had Kone last season we probably would have made champs league.

Heitinger will probably leave so we need 3 decent centre backs

Agree0 Disagree0

Wigan went Dow due to their defence. Not attack.

Agree0 Disagree0

Alcaraz would be OK on a free, but £6.5m for Kone? No way.

Agree0 Disagree0

Didn't we sign Baines from Wigan? Or Jags from Sheff United after relegation? Didn't Man U sign Rooney from a club that was at the bottom of the league? Wasn't Pienaar and Arteta purchased from clubs that didn't want them, and so came on the cheap?

Playing in a poor team does not make you poor. Also, not delivering for one club does not mean you will not be useful for another club with different players around them.

Agree0 Disagree0

All you moaning that they went down, hang on tim cahill from millwall, jags for a relegated sheff utd, distin-relegated Portsmouth stop moaning its called strength in depth

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreed. These signings are poor if they happen. Two average players at the wrong end of their careers. Worried. {Ed052's Note -

Agree0 Disagree0

Utter nonsense. Alcaraz may not be the big signing we all want but, if he gets fit, he'll be an excellent sub adding more strength to a thin squad.

Kone is well worth the rumoured £5m release clause and would score goals for us. Again, not the worlds best but as good as what we had last season (better with Jelly's poor form)

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said bra boy

Agree0 Disagree0

I think of Andy Gray when I see all the negative comments regarding older players, different era but who cares.

Martínez met up with Alan Dzagoev and his agent during his free time yesterday.

Believable0 Unbelievable9

Martinez is at the con fed cup

Agree0 Disagree0

I doubt he just popped over to Russia for a quick chat with a player we'll never be able to afford in between games.

Agree0 Disagree0

Would love this to be true. Would improve the team. Honda I fear is that tape that will continue to look for that 50 yard camera pass. Wile the philosophy of Martinez is to keep it on the deck.
