More pace gathering on us trying to get Marcelo Brokovic in this window.

Pardew saying Johnny Evans could be sold for the right price, better than what we have anybody reckon.

If we are serious going forward we need to sign these players to replace our ageing squad. Or the guy from Swansea or Leicester CB.

Another case of paying premium for a decent player.

Just read we declined to pay 25mill for Dendonker. Class act surely that's a steal. I know he's midfield again. But surely he'd take Schneiderlins spot.

{Ed002's Note - Did Everton want him? Would he fit in? Do you think it is a great idea just to by players at random?}

Schneiderlin isn’t a bad player, but he has been performing very poorly for us this season.
I’d like to know what’s behind this, as it’d be great to see him back to the level he showed when he first joined us.
Something clearly isn’t right with him and I think that the club should try to fix that before simply discarding him for good. Who’s to say that a replacement would do any better?
We may have more money to invest in recruitment these days, but we shouldn’t just throw it around like confetti hoping we get a player that works out!

I can only say a replacement could do no worse Bobby.

Fans previously said that Niasse was rubbish and should be got rid of, but his goals have earned us vital points this season. He’s not a great player, but he has stuck at it and made a telling contribution.
Schneiderlin has been very poor this season, but let’s hope he can show that class is permanent while form is temporary (albeit quite long for now - for whatever reason) . I just don’t know why he has performed so badly.

I don't remember many fans on here saying Niasse was rubbish, and even so he has always run his heart out for this club, he has won the hearts of the fans through his give it all attitude. Schneiderlin on the other hand had half a dozen decent performances last season. This season I can't remember a good one. He cost half as much as Schneiderlin but has shown 10 times the heart to play for this club.

Many fans regarded Niasse in the same way as they now regard Martina.

I have supported etc for over 50 years and I can honestly say that this is the worst mess I have ever seen this club in. it starts from the top to the bottom and Walsh is the most overated scout I have ever known. Will someone please sort out this mess before it's too late.

Some times money has the wrong effect when given to the wrong person, as we can see we've an unbalanced team, Sam is trying to add pace but we as a team have to many weaknesses, the fact the team is never settled shows the manager spent really no his best team.

I wouldn’t say this is the biggest mess - after all we’ve had last-day relegation escapes - but it is the biggest disappointment in terms of comparing expectations (Moshiri, stadium, player recruitment, etc. ) with the reality (performances, results, negativity, etc. ) .

Brozovic and vogt linked today do any eds know anything or is it just paper talk.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Marcelo Brozovic was of interest to Everton when Ronald Koeman was manager last summer but perhaps the interest was from Steve Walsh. I don't know but he is on the list of players that Inter would be prepared to sell to help balance the books - and a long time Mourinho favourite since he was at Locomotive Zagreb. Arsenal tried to sign him from Dinamo Zagreb) but that went nowhere and the interest of Zenit disappeared in the summer after a number of poor performances. Sevilla would like him on loan whereas Inter don't really want to loan any more players out after Joao Mario and Gabriel Barbosa moving out temporarily this month. Possibly old news from the summer - we will see.

Kevin Vogt makes a lot of sense for Everton but I suspect he would be one for the summer as I cannot really see any way Hoffenheim would be open to a sale in January. Spurs have looked at him for some time but he is not seen as ideal for their specific need right now. Leicester were also keen when CS was there as a coach so he may have had some influence.}

Hi ed do you have any idea who we’re actually looking at currently? Seems a lot of paper stuff with no substance at the minute!
