Why do people keep saying Honda will pay his own wages in Shirt sales? We're with Kitbag so it doesn't matter how many we sell!

But what it will do is push the club brand right into the heart of asia he is a massive player over there why do u think the mancs always have an asian player in there team.

What does the kitbag deal do for us. how do we benefit from it {Ed025's Note - its guaranteed income ray, and does not depend on volume of kits sold..

Ray if we sold 0 shirts we still get the same income, it takes pressure off the club not just in terms of guranteed revenue but also reduces costs of having in house marketing for kits etc.
However what Honda would do is get our name out there. Honda is a bit of a pin up boy in Japan and we would instantly become a very popular team in Japan. It is like here in Sweden, wherever Zlatan is playing you see the kits everywhere, Stockholm is awash with kids in PSG kits

It was the right deal at the time, as we were losing money on our merchandising. But when you put it into context, £3m a year, with other premier league clubs it's a disgrace. West Brom get around £4m, Villa £15m and the DarkSide get around £25m.

Spose so mate but we need to start looking for a backup or someone to compete with howard, we have always had cheap knock offs

Think I heard during the Confed cup that he wants to go to Corinthians.

Big Bill has confirmed that Everton have made enquiries for two players, most probably Keisuke Honda and Arouna Kone.

Hearing Kone could be done deal as early as the weekend plus a bid of 3.5 million accepted for Chung young lee of Bolton wanderes don't know how true this is but lee is better than what we have had come off the bench for last few years and will be great squad player with Honda coming in to if bid is accepted I am optimistic to see what our squad is come September.

There was no issue first time, it was a simple case of we didn't have the money for him and we only bid for him as a precaution for fellaini leaving, he's an okay player but nothing special, if we hadnt bid in january nobody would want him now, ofc if he comes then hopefully he will prove me completely wrong but from what I've seen i'm not too impressed

The paper work was an issue last summer with the loan because Twente wanted to sell for the cash then. The knee was an issue that wouldn't normally stop a transfer but would lead to a bit more tinkering with offers and there wasn't time. The only question is whether Martinez wants him, and only he can answer that.

Martínez has not yet had a chance to meet and evaluate the squad, but apparently has 5 names of his shortlist already:

Mohamed Salah
Sebastian Giovinco
Gerard Deulofeu (Loan)
Mehdi Benatia
Jordi Amat

From my uncle-in-law who lived in Martínez's street before he bid farewell a few weeks ago for an apartment in Liverpool City Centre. Take it with a pinch of salt of course, but if this is really the quality of players we're aiming for I'm really excited about 2013-14.

Pretty sure martinez lives around hale/alderley edge, where some everton players live, I doubt he would move, same distance from there to finch farm/goodison as it is to the dw

I would take Giovinco in a heatbeat, quality player though unfortunately didn't get enough starts for Juve last season.

Trust me if they transfer listed him there would be a host of top european clubs after him and deloufu is behing hyped at barca and from what I've seen of him he is iniesta with pace doubt we would get him while your in there you may aswell throw in vidal and chiellini or maybe even pirlo

I would take all them players in a heartbeat, shame we couldn't afford them all.

This is actually a really believable list of players. These players suit Martinez's style of play. I think this list will be mixed wth some of the most linked players, such as fer.

Jordi amat and the loan of gerard deulofeu comes up a lot for some reason, jordi amat i'd take straight away but delofeu still hasn't come through at barca as they think he is too lightweight but they hype his technical ability, like real madrid did with sergio canales but he moved to valencia as he didn't get any stronger so deulofeu may come on loan who knows
