I'd be more than happy with Howe. Would understand the long term project, still young and learning and he has a style of play and philosophy. I think that having a set style for the first team is massive and this can be implemented into youth teams as well as looking for new players. It gives the whole club as a whole a sense of direction and us as fans a style we can get behind.

{Ed025's Note - i can buy into that joe..

I'm glad mate. As much as I believed Allardyce was the only one to ensure we didn't go down, it really puts into perspective the value of performance as well as results. It was alright at the start when we were getting some results but when you're losing and performing and setting up the way we are, it shows how unambitious and ancient Allardyce is.

Not to mention he is a blue through and through.

Here's hoping it's true, reliable source. We need identity, a plan and to stick with it as the Stadium comes together.

Don't hold your breath on howe.
Fonseca will be the new manager and he will agree terms in the summer after guiding shaktar through this champions league comp.
Be happy because we will have the next big name in management and he will lead us to a great new beginning for EFC.
This is already done and dusted.

Hope this is true Pauly, any manager is going to be a risk but this guy oozes class and looks the part and I think we need a breath of fresh air in the club.

Howe left Bournemouth once before and failed at Bolton, he reminds me of RM, so be careful what you wish for.
Personally we should be looking for a more proven manager but we are hunting in a very difficult arena.

Wakka. Think it was Burnley but I agree about your point. He left Burnley because he was home sick for down south. Worry it would happen again.

Fonseca would be amazing. But if I’m honest looks too good to be true. I can’t see him coming to us, as much as I’d love to be wrong.

The one thing i totally agree with in these posts is when 'ollblue' stated that it would be a breath of fresh air for us. We need that more than at any time in our recent History.

Yeah we need that feel good factor and positivity back that we had in the summer, someone like Fonseca would bring that.

The Fonze or Howe or anyone who isn't named Allardyce. I for one can't wait to hear his massive face, moaning to Talk sport after he is sacked. No class guaranteed.

No point in having a long term project for any manager the fans will not live with the faintest prospect of relegation should the club hit a bad run of form the board will follow suit and look for a short term fix.

Wblue he was coming before SA but shaktar asked him to finish his job there and they won't stand in his way in the summer.

I'd rather have Arteta than Howe as said before he's too much like Martinez and not enough experience at top club. Where Arteta boast UCLexperience as player and coach. Most importantly as said earlier we need a whole new identity our own way of playing myself would enjoy a hard pressing physical style fighting for every ball against all comers whether playing top teams or lesser teams.

The problem with the club is we have no captain steering the ship and we have the most spineless and gutless players I have ever watched in a blue jersey. Blame this blame that but most of all blame the ones who wear the shirt and disgrace it at every opportunity.

If you were a racing driver then you would want to race to win. But if your crew were constantly telling you a place is good enough so play safe, you would very quickly become demotervated and struggle to even make a place.
These players have a leader off the pitch who wants to play safe, and it's effecting there moral. Yes we need a strong captain, but if he is not allowed to lead then what's the point. The players are playing with fear, and there's only one person who is to blame for that.

Like I said the other day mate, not enough players out there maybe a couple excepted who'll give everything for this shirt and lead it. The batterings we've had this season show just how much we miss the strong characters who wouldn't roll over like Cahill or even Naismith who gave everything for the shirt. Captains set standards and I don't think anyone out there does that or leads, only one of captain material to me is Pickford.

give coleman the armband as soon as he is back fully fit for me he is a born leader, sets the standard and has no problem letting you no if u fall below said standards.
i think if him and james mc would have been fit all season we would be nailed on 7th challanging for 6th/ 5th at least, the passion they both show put the rest, bar pickford as u say, to shame.

{Ed025's Note - i will have that johny mate..
