My Freind who plays for Toronto FC in Canada saying Donovan is considering a move to Everton F.C

Believable15 Unbelievable8

He might be willing to come but we are not in for him as we don't need him anymore and if he came it would be as back up only.

Agree0 Disagree0

What's your friend's name?

Agree0 Disagree0

And why would he know?

Agree1 Disagree1

He would still get in are team

Agree0 Disagree0

How would a Toronto Player know that?

Agree1 Disagree0

'our' team, not 'are' team. Speak English

Agree1 Disagree1

Donovan would very much get i our team! His work rate, playing ability and professionalism is something of different class. He has great mobility and can change direction quick to knock the ball off. He would supply a great feed into Jelavic, he can play Upfront, on the wing, or behind the striker. IMO He would be a great asset to join us again, and possibly Cahills replacement

Agree1 Disagree1

Oh dear we've got the spell check police in OUR midst... lighten up will ya(YOU) {Ed051's Note - Haha

Agree1 Disagree1

Landon signing on loan at the beginning of the year started the ball rolling when things were looking pretty grim, class act get him back he quality and he loves the club

Agree1 Disagree0

And it's are team in If you are scouse and a blue but it is our if you are for Norway and a koppite

Agree1 Disagree1

Tornto FC suck,,not related to the post but as a Canadian, I love it, as I support Vancouver....lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont need him anymore surplus to requirements

Hi Ed(s), what's the score with the Niang deal, lot of tabloids reporting it's a done deal and he's on his way, but no confirmation as yet. Are we getting him or not ?

DB Cooper {Ed025's Note - its down to meeting personal terms mate..

Believable10 Unbelievable8

Forgot my manners with OP, meant to say thanks in advance but thanks for the clarification ed025

DB Cooper {Ed025's Note - no probs mate..

Agree1 Disagree0

We are getting him theses mixed messages about him some saying fee been agreed other saying personal terms have been agreed but not the fee and the personal terms havent been agreed yet take your pick {Ed025's Note - i think its up to him now mate..

Agree1 Disagree0

I think he will sign for us a chance to play in the premiership

Heard rumours of us, and a number of other clubs, chasing the signature of Steven N'zonzi. Personally, I think he is a quality player but see no space for him with the current midfield we have!

Believable13 Unbelievable7

Are squad is painfully thin. We need to recruit to cover for illness and injuries so it'll be good to have strength in depth... It's a squad game now as we all know, so all this about having no room for quality players need to look at our bench
Dave M

Agree0 Disagree1

You'd rather have Neville in midfield?

Agree0 Disagree1

Yes but great cover, if we get injuries or suspensions to Gibson, Osman and Fellaini who plays centre mid? Rather N'Zonzi than Neville and Heitinga. Would be a good signing IMO

Agree0 Disagree1

He is exactly what we need to sit along side gibson

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be a very good addition to the squad, we have a very very good first XI in my opinion, and now it is the case of using the spare money and loan spots to sure up spots in the squad, and defensive mid is a position we are a bit thin in, also would like to see a back up strike come in.

Agree1 Disagree1

I would be very pleased if this happened, perfect for our midfield, we need strength, height and also some cover in case of injuries. Also i dont think he would cost that much.

Agree1 Disagree0

I know people are gonna shoot me down for this but I actually think Neville's best position now is CM... Hibbo is a better RB and Nev does a decent job in the middle. We now have Neville, Gibbo, Fellaini, Osman, Heitinga, Francisco Junior and even Barkley that can play in the middle so dont think we are desperately short. Having said that I do like Nzonzi and think he would be a great addition, however I would prefer Tom Ince!

aflm78

Agree0 Disagree0

I really don't think we need any more attacking players,

we need a holding midfielder, a CB and a LB (or someone who can play both) and I'd look for a young GK now too

Agree0 Disagree0

Nzonzi and Fellini in the middle would be best cm partnership. Mirallas and Jelavic upfront. No midfield would be able to get past them.

Everton are due to sign Carlos Darwin Quintero from Santos Laguna of Mexico. The 24 year old 'winger' has scored 40 goals in 138 games for Santos.

Believable13 Unbelievable26

No such player. {Ed025's Note - there is...he is a colombian striker...but i cant see it myself..

Agree1 Disagree1

Get off of FIFA mate i had him on mine I searched for fast players who were cheap

Everton were truly outstanding today a pleasure to watch
Mirallas looked sharp when he came on and I think Coleman played fantastic he did all I want from him!

I think WBA will be a harder game but I can see us taking maximum points over the next 2-3 games

Any Wharton

Believable21 Unbelievable4

We nearly let them back in it once gibson went off we looked vunerable {Ed025's Note - not true...they were out of it after 2 minutes..

Agree1 Disagree0

Yeah should of been at least 6-0 at half time, Villa look in real trouble.

Hope we can continue to start games like that

Fantastic result and I can only see us on the up! 2 things I'd like to mention.

1) I think Moyes is a great manager but in the past few seasons, he normally starts off with a negative mentality in my opinion which used to be horrible to watch (go 1 up then sit back or not take the game to teams when we should) but it seems that he has turned over a new leaf. We came out all guns blazing against Utd and we dominated, though we sat back towards the end. However, I was so happy today when even at 3-0 up, Moyes still had an attacking incentive by taking off our holding midfielder and putting on another striker! More of this please Mr Moyes and I'll be one happy blue.

2) I know it was only a 20 minute cameo, but I was very impressed with Kevin Mirallas. His movement off the ball was exceptional and was unlucky to have his goal chalked off, but early signs show that he looks a cracking buy. Thought Naismith was great too!

Onwards and Upwards and who knows where our season will take us!

One of the best comments I've seen. So true about what seems to be the 'new' moyes. COYB

I have information about the next 7 days from a father of one of the current Everton players.
Anichebe is on his way out for around 2 million. Moyes wants to bring in 2 or 3 players if he can to add numbers to our small squad. Also he thinks this is Moyes last season and believes he is going to go for it this season and see where he gets and then to everyone surprise he wont accept a job in England and set his sights on moving abroad to manage.
You can choose to believe me or think I am talking BS. Upto you, but this is what iv'e been told by a players father and I was told 2 weeks ago by the same guy we would sell Rodwell to City and I posted it on here. ( I am a regular poster, and have never posted rumours about players, I just come on here for banter, but since meeting this fella he has told me a few things)

Steve

Believable9 Unbelievable30

No disrespect, but why would Moyes tell any players about his career plans. A select few would know this info, so in my opinion this is nonsense

Agree0 Disagree0

I think your talking BS, Why post something negetive, on a day were we have just destroyed a team with total football, and everyone is on a high! and you post sh*t about the mamager leaving... sad!....jmff

Agree0 Disagree0

All very unbelievable. Players will not know any plans, signings, sales or what Moyes has planned for his career

Leave a name when you post

TJ

Agree0 Disagree0

So Mr Moyes "goes for it" and gets European Champions league qualifiaction and then gets off...very logical ever thought of applying for sa job with the echo.....?marine doesnt get much coverage and you could always boost your freelance salary by commenting on rumour on South Liverpool at Holly Park....

Agree1 Disagree0

I too post her regular, I know some players but wouldnt thin of posting what they have said there firneds family or mum's! erm you claim authen ticaion by saying you posted about rodwell? cant claim to have seen your post lad! NOt say you have lied but jeez what a load of typing for so little backedupable info....id say your RS but they dont tend to be able to type that much...unless they have a creditr cardf and stay in a hotel for home games...

Agree1 Disagree1

I never once said HE TOLD a player I said the players father THINKS this will be Moyes last season, IT WAS HIS OPINION! none of you can read!
He TOLD me about Rodwell leaving because everyone inside Everton knew and Moyes has told the players and the press for that matter he wants a few new players to bulk the squad up.
The Anichebe leaving situation is true he has been looking at options last couple of weeks and as i said on the Moyes last season and going abroad matter... THAT WAS THE PLAYERS FATHER'S OPINION!! Not a fact, just what HE thinks, read what i originally said before jumping on me!

This site is mad sometimes!

Steve

Agree1 Disagree0

Oh to TJ..... I left my name on the post STEVE. I always do.

Steve {Ed025's Note - you do steve..

Agree1 Disagree0

So you're simply posting someone else's highly detailed opinion - and you state that this third party has no substantiation or evidence for this highly detailed opinion? Seriously?!
Okay, my brother's mate has just per-ordered the new third kit - and he reckons we'll win the league this season, and that I'll get a date with Jennifer Lopez. I'm really pleased.

Agree1 Disagree1

I think this story is believable as a freind of mine informed me that he is friendly with some of Moyes family in Northern Ireland and when Moyes was in N.Ireland last summer (2011) he was hinting at considering his future with Everton in next few years. He also said Moyes stated he would like to manage abroad someday. This is 2nd hand info so could be alot of BS but I know my friend has met Moyes many times in N.Ireland.

Agree1 Disagree0

Ha unbelievable on here! I gave decent info from a current players father who told me that Anichebe is on his way out and has been for a few weeks which I thought most of you would find interesting as the majority on here want rid of Victor.
I then mentioned that the man who told me voiced his opinion on Moyes future and you all think i'm talking crap, ha crazy!!
People come on here with ridiculous rumours like we are signing this player for 10 million and I was told by a "reliable source" but can't tell you who and I look at these rumours and people believe them, I post a genuine FACT and someone's opinion brilliant!

Steve {Ed025's Note - take it with a pinch of salt steve..

Agree1 Disagree1

"Simply posting somebody else's opinion"?? No mate, I posted somebody telling me about Anichebe which I thought I would share seems as people would be interested in Anichebe leaving I then told you his opinion on Moyes.
Give ya a head a wobble! (and leave your name if your going to try to ridicule me)

Steve

Agree1 Disagree1

All this, my mates cat said Blah! Blah! really does my head in,The poster who said if Everton qualify for the CL,was spot on! this would catapult everton to a whole new level! and a chance for moyes to build his own dynesty!...that is what he has been striving for ,for the last 10 yrs Wild Horses could not drag him away now!......jmff

Agree1 Disagree0

Moyes is always taking stock, he constantly assesses and reassesses. Whether he stays or goes the only people he'd share that with would be his family.
As for Anichebe... He was on his way out when he demanded to go out on loan 2 seasons ago. And let's face it anyone could have predicted him leaving when Wigan agreed to sell Moses. I don't like the use of the word FACT either... Reminds me of a disrespectful Fat Spanish waiter.
But let me leave you with this thought... If Moyes does decide to go, do you think he'll do it to the financial detriment to the club.. ie Compensation package?
After the euphoria of this week I think in MY OPINION this was a poorly contrived rumour, which has invoked the response you got. So for you to come back and have a go at those who found this distasteful is crass.... IN MY OPINION.. and Editor... Shame on you too.
Dave M

Hope this gets past the editor..

Agree1 Disagree0

Steve I posted on here about Niang and got the same treatment and now it looks like it's happening. You dont have to explain yourself mate.

Agree1 Disagree0

That was my bad on not noticing the name Steve, too much wine I think

TJ

Agree1 Disagree1

Haha no probs TJ. Again there, Dave M..... I NEVER said Moyes will leave at the end of the season please read my original post!! Getting ridiculous this now! Not going to explain myself AGAIN just read through the posts i have posted.

Thanks

Steve

Agree1 Disagree1

It's not very clear Steve... It reads the sources father believes this is his last season, so in contrast their belief has become embroiled in your post. That's led to the misunderstanding.

Must say did not go the game today but have been to Villa the last two years, what a result. Gibson is the main influence on our upturn in form. He gets the ball and always wants to move it forward, QUICKLY. If he gets injured I feel we have problems, I would not like to use Felli deeper as he is so effective supporting the front man. Area to recruit is cover for Gibbo/ play CM role.

I personally think we will sign Niang plus a CM and two more squad players this is our year COYB.

Sign Niang for 2m but not as bothered if we dont tbh big vic scores goals but not as much as we need him too! we don't want to get ourselves in to any more financial problems try and focus on the mickey mouse cup just to secure Europa and if that fails try and keep the way we our playing up look moyes knows he has an excellent team to progress with this year and so do we. We are getting behind the team more than we have done for quite a while because we are playing magnificent unbeaten with Gibson in the league now that is what you call a bargain!
