I have said in previous posts if we had the correct backing that I would not want anyone other than DM to take us forward. But reading what people are speculating and you never know with football what may happen. Martinez seems to be 1st choice pros young manager, attractive football, may finally play 3-5-2 formation what I have wanted for years. Cons does nice football win you as many games consistently. Manchester United are hard to beat first rather than attractive football. Other candidates possibly Bilic and I have heard rumours of DM going to Arsenal would people want arsene wenger.

Would like to see DM stay if I were honest, but can't see it happening so who do we go for? With no money unlikely to attract a big manager, so above 2 ruled out, wouldn't want wenger anyhow. So will we appoint within I. e Stubbs or someone like that, hope not, need someone to take us forward and attract good names when most prob the likes of felli and Baines are sold

I'm assuming that the first reply is in reference to Wenger but I think it may also apply to Bilic, who personally would be my first choice.

I actually wouldn't want Wenger as I find him a bit of cringe-worthy character, what with all the whingeing, hypocrisy and selective blindness. Also, someone made the point recently that when he first arrived at Arsenal he brought with him a set of new ideas relating to things like diet, training, scouting, etc. which genuinely set him apart from other managers in the league. Since other people have caught up with his thinking, however, he's looked at best ordinary as a manager and at worst arrogant, blinkered and self-destructive.

I think if david moyes moves on we can forget about martinez or any other manager whos contracted to to a club as we would have to pay conpensation. well be looking at the likes of roberto di matteo, roy keane, mark hughes or steve mclaren jacko316
