So moyes is the favourite with the board we should thank him for restoring our pride back when we were a laughing stock in the premier league nobody wanted to come to goodison park under moyes then that little spanish rat in three seasons dismantled the best home record in our history cahill pinnear baines distan lesscot Martin miralles yakubu Johnson fellani

graveson carsley Howard were do I stop at jags there are so many more and all those to come Davies dowwell Pennington Jon Joe Kenny all moyes signings any one still not want moyes behave with the resourses available i'm sure he could find many more gems like those above sometimes as sonya said better the devil you know.

Believable5 Unbelievable2

25 May 2016 06:38:56
Moyes has no say in the signing of the youngsters and was not here when they signed there first professional contracts. Add to that he only ever played one youngster in his 11 years and then sold him. You mention his signings what about Simon Davies, Per Koldrup, Billyanetinov, James Beattie. Releasing Musstafi a youngster I might add at the time who has now developed into a top class player sought by top European clubs. He also had Eric Dier on loan and sent him back again as he was deemed not good enough for Prem. The same player who excelled for spurs last season. I don't want him any were near this talented group as he will ruin us.

Agree8 Disagree2

25 May 2016 09:56:00
I see a lot of negativity about moyes, but just cannot understand where it comes from, he made us into a top team, he may have some floors in his approach but we never looked down only up, we had hope under moyes one thing we've never had in all g time since the 80s, think we shouldn't slate a man who did such a great job for us for 11 years.

Agree8 Disagree0

25 May 2016 14:34:59
signing Fellaini in the same summer we were also linked with Joao Moutinho and ever banega.

Agree3 Disagree0

24 May 2016 18:57:21
I have spoken to a friend who works for Everton behind the scenes. I won't name source, but she tells me David moyes is very close to agreeing a deal, but moshiri is not convinced. The board believe with financial muscle, moyes will be able to rise to the top!

Believable7 Unbelievable6

24 May 2016 19:10:08
It will be up to moshiri who becomes manager so if he's not convinced then it won't happen. Whether u know someone who works behind the scenes or not. Load of rubbish I think.

Agree4 Disagree3

24 May 2016 19:12:11
Bull! Not a chance. Moshiris not a fool - you don't become a billionaire by being that stupid. Moyes will not get the job., Kenright his best mate is being phased out next season with Farhad becoming majority shareholder and he still wants Koeman and believe he may well get him, if not it will be Pellegrini as the board are unsure about Frank De Boar at present who appears to be desperate and begging for any Premier league job that's been going in the last season or 2 and been overlooked on each occasion thus far!

Agree4 Disagree1

24 May 2016 19:43:34
If I hear about Moyes coming back one more time I might jump off the Severn bridge on my way to work tomorrow. The man will never win any major trophy, can't spend big bucks, can't handle big players egos, and. and. and. and. well that's enough said. Get Moyes back and look forward to being a nearly team again. We have money now, we have ambition, let's look up not down.

Agree4 Disagree1

24 May 2016 20:51:16
I can't believe that they are even interviewing him and I can't believe that Moshiri would agree to him returning. If he does come back as Manager it is because Kenwright still has his hands on the train set. If he does come back any good feelings I have for Kenwright will go out of the window.

Agree1 Disagree1

24 May 2016 21:03:55
Let's be fair Moyes would be an upgrade on where Martinez has left us but I have to agree I don't feel he is right for where we are heading!

Agree3 Disagree3

25 May 2016 22:54:56
Why are we not interviewing villas boas? Think he did well at spurs and set them up for pochittino to take them where they were last season.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 May 2016 18:36:17
. I'm hearing tonight that Ronald Koeman is Moshiris no.1 choice and is awaiting to hear back from him and his advisors from their talks with the Southampton hierarchy. if it's a no, he will then appoint Manual Pellegrini.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

24 May 2016 19:16:44
A much more realistic statement Soli than that little rascal Ant's. I just do not believe for one minute the board would hire Moyes again.

Agree0 Disagree2

24 May 2016 20:07:41
Well I have also heard Moyes is top of the list but no desicion has been made just because it's not what we want to hear doesn't mean it's bull I pray to God I'm made out to be wrong that ginger twit should not be allowed to manage our great club again.

Agree1 Disagree3

24 May 2016 20:55:57
Sorry Bill, I do believe that the board would hire Moyes back. Moshiri is not on the board and is the only one who can save us from Kenwright and his cronies. I can only hope that Moshiri has the final say in who we make our next manager.

Agree1 Disagree1

24 May 2016 21:36:40
You never go back. never works . always abad move. mourinho, Kendall. etc. Appointing moyes. who never got Preston promoted, who never won a trophy at Everton, who failed at man u and sociedad. what credentials does he have that warrants a return. plus the mans a liar in my opinion.18 montbs ago Everton were holding players back. now he wants to return. move along David there's nothing to see here.

Agree1 Disagree0

24 May 2016 21:53:51
I don't get this bout moyes he won't win anything, when he came to Everton he was a no one the last 2 jobs he took anyone who took Utd was going to get sacked same in Spain, we need a manager who can build unity, a manager who can defend, he might not be the most expansive manager in how he plays his football but I remember many games where we played some amazing footy, he's had a tough run of jobs, he bought quality on a budget he can buy class with money. I think could be a good manager with the right team and right backing.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 May 2016 22:25:53
Kenwright is keen on Moyes but Koeman is top target. . but that all depends on Koeman.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 May 2016 18:30:02

everton contact moyes, had a feeling this is going to happen.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

{Ed025's Note - its nightmare stuff dazza..

24 May 2016 17:58:41
Not at all a great manager he can rebuild a club, then maybe in three years another manager to take us to the next level. Do not forget that on current form we could get relegated next season a true Moyes job to save us. He is not my first choice and I do have reservations but would be happy with him.

Agree2 Disagree6

24 May 2016 18:08:04
Sory but i disagree. I would take moyes back. I no he left on bad terms but he had us pushing for top 4 every season and i think if he we had a few top class players he would of got us there. BRING BACK MOYES!

Agree2 Disagree8

24 May 2016 18:24:50
Fozz

No mate he moved on and hey, now it's our turn!

Agree2 Disagree0

24 May 2016 18:33:29
Wow. anybody remember scoring after early in a game an then having to watch the most boring spectacle of football as moyes set up to defend that lead an then bringing on a 5th defender for the last 20 mins. Sorry but he'd be my last choice.

Agree3 Disagree1

24 May 2016 18:37:19
CANNOT believe people would even consider Moyes coming back after his behaviour leading up to, and immediately following, his departure. If not because of those reasons how about the fact that with the new investment we can shop at Harrods rather than Aldi. Have some ambition for God's sake. Moyes? Jeeeez!

Agree2 Disagree2

24 May 2016 18:42:47
Once Koeman makes his decision things will become clearer.

Agree4 Disagree0

24 May 2016 18:45:37
If Moyes get the job I'm done. bloody boring football. sod the give him money speech. He had money at Manchester United and I'm pretty sure he didn't see a full season through. Of the others linked with us, id have unsworth before Moyes, if we couldn't get any of our main targets.

Agree2 Disagree1

24 May 2016 19:02:21
Its in the Echo and they're wrong so often.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 May 2016 19:03:29
There are a lot worse appointments than Moyes, but I just can't see it happening myself. No doubt it would be BK's idea to interview him, but I'd have guessed that Moshiri has the final say and I wouldn't have thought he would sanction it unless he genuinely thought he was the best candidate.
As for the rubbish about us going for Hart, this just stinks of lazy journalism to me. Just because we have supposedly had talks with Pellegrini, the Scum are doing their usual bull***t and making stuff up to fill some column inches.

Agree0 Disagree1

24 May 2016 19:16:09
If moyse does become manager it will be one giant step backwards u should never go back and show that kenwright has been more involved in the search for r manager than was previously thought moyse couldn't attract quality players to utd so why will he be able to attract them to everton and considering how pitiful a job he has done at utd and sociedad why the hell we r considering him is mind boggling one manager who won't end up at everton is lucien favre as he is the new nice manager.

Agree1 Disagree2

24 May 2016 19:52:54
I am baffled and allways have been baffled by this anti Moyes attitude.
He worked on a very low budget yet over achieved time and time again, he won manager of the year 3 times, only Fergerson has won it more.
He did nothing wrong when he left, he did what I would expect any manager in his position and take the United job.
The day he left the crowd gave him a great send off and many in the crowd where crying. It seems that many blues have very very short memories.
I have read of people wanting Jose well he played very boring football at Chelsea on an enormous budget. If Moyes 3 years from now was winning trophies for us nobody would complain about his tactics then. Did not Leicester have a lot of 1-0 wins but we all applauded.
Yes I am baffled by anti Moyes feeling. he is not my number one choice but would welcome him back and would only ever thank him for what he did for us before.

Agree2 Disagree3

24 May 2016 20:17:48
How would we be taking a giant step backwards if moyes got the job, moyes took us a few steps forward, rm took four or five steps back, moyes saved is from being a championship side and turned us into a club challenging for Europe most seasons all on coppers behind sofa, yes he said a few stupid things when he left bu he was employed by another club then, he done a great Jo for us and wouldn't mind if he git job although I dnt think he will. Its like rafa calling us a small club, if he put his name forward some fans would approve because of that comment so what its playground stuff, he has won trophies an I would take him as well, if he wins stuff. I dnt care what he said she said I just care about Everton fc. One last point on the giant step Backwards, there is a saying. Sometime u have to go back to move forward.

Agree2 Disagree2

24 May 2016 21:04:58
Or toffeeblue you keep going backwards how many managers or players that have gone back to club has turned out as good as there first time around not many.

Agree0 Disagree1

24 May 2016 16:15:59
Hi ed do you think there is any truth in the Moyes rumours coming back and if so what are the chances in your opinion of him getting the job.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - it is being bandied about john but if he did get the gig it would be the end with everton for me mate..

24 May 2016 18:13:58
And me mate. My seadon ticket will be going back. Surely moshiri can't make this mistake. He needs to read social media sites to see us blues don't want him.

Agree1 Disagree0

24 May 2016 18:35:14
Cant agree more. This worries me as much as when I thought there was a slim chance Roberto was staying.

Agree0 Disagree1

24 May 2016 15:50:55
Ed tell me it's not true we are not interviewing Moyes please no.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - thats what is being said by various outlets litts, i would hope its not true but if it is we have to pray he does,nt get it mate..

24 May 2016 18:51:38
Apparently moyes, pelegrini, emeri, De Boer and unsworth are being interviewed, if you remember, Stubbs, weir and Neville were interviewed before Martinez was given the job so don't panic, moyes applied, Unsworth was interviewed for experience purposes, and De boer was spoken to last month about the possibility .

Agree0 Disagree0

24 May 2016 15:31:43
Oh Lord, now we're supposedly appointing Giggs.

His age puts me off too.

We need energy at Goodison.

funny that Ace, still laughing 60 seconds after reading your post.

24 May 2016 12:12:26
Lance could be anyone. I wouldn't knock him too much. His post is certainly different than your usual 'fact' or '100%'. It actually makes quite a bit of sense. If its true of course 😊.

Agree1 Disagree1

24 May 2016 12:43:34
According to the rumour mill down here in north west Wales, Pellegrini was seen at Kenwrights hose in Abersoch a couple of days after RM was sacked. If this was the case then they are at least taking their time with this most important of decisions rather than a knee jerk to please some fans.

Agree1 Disagree0

24 May 2016 12:48:48

40 mill 200k a week for hart what do we think on that.

Believable1 Unbelievable4

{Ed025's Note - you can get a good keeper for that pb..

24 May 2016 07:03:18
Southampton keeper for me. Hart is over rated, he will earn his money with us though haha.

Agree3 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - his understudy is just as good pb...dan druff.. :)

24 May 2016 07:15:08
Haha that's a good one you been waiting to use that ed.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - no mate the adverts just been on.. :)

24 May 2016 07:22:33
I don't think this is true but if it is perhaps talks are more advanced with pelligrini than we know. And to be fair Hart still has a good few seasons left in him. Would be a great signing. I don't care about how much we pay as long as we don't end up debt ridden and bankrupt. Which I don't think mosh will allow.

Agree5 Disagree2

24 May 2016 07:32:23
JH's a bit flakey in patches a good story though, head and shoulders above the one about Jose coming .

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - love it 247..

24 May 2016 08:03:25
Never going to happen that, first off why would he come to us, no CL, next who in their right mind would pay 40 million, no way pedro.

Agree2 Disagree5

24 May 2016 10:41:47
Agreed Murf, very hard to believe this one could happen.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 May 2016 11:29:09
Joe Hart was asked about the price tag of 40 mill

His reply

'because I'm worth it' :)

Agree1 Disagree0

24 May 2016 11:41:45
Frank awesome.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 May 2016 01:08:45
Just read this and nearly wet myself laughing
"Manchester City and England keeper Joe Hart has emerged as a £40m target for Everton this summer" First of all why on earth would Joe Hart leave a Champions League team that is getting a world class manager secondly who pays £40 Million for a Goalkeeper? That would eclipse the £32 million world record Juve paid Parma for Buffon. I couldn't believe my eyes until I noticed who the source was, you guessed it, it was the S*n.

Believable0 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - Note however that Manchester City has a replacement in mind for Hart.}

24 May 2016 06:48:55
I reckon, we have damn good intentions for sure. Let's say we do land him. That would be half our budget practically. Please don't think I'm being pessimistic. But buying Joe Harte at £200,000 'A WEEK' could have disastrous consequences. The rest of the squad getting pee'd off as their wages were capped at 60,000 a week under Kenwright would they start demanding more money, refusing to play at 100% like we saw them do to Martinez, or even going on strike. I don't know just saying. I'm just wondering if this could open a huge can of worms.
I would love Joe Harte to come by the way. I feel though I might be dreaming.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - thats messi money and to spend it on an average keeper would be criminal for me mowfee..

24 May 2016 07:01:58
So its safe to say then crap journalism. Once again, never fails.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - dont you love them..

24 May 2016 08:57:55
paying these sort of prices and wages wouldn't we fall foul of the FFP as we don't generate nearly enough football revenue to pay for this sort of signing or have I misunderstood the FFP (quite likely)

Agree1 Disagree0

24 May 2016 08:56:05
Ed002 I see where you're coming from but 40mil for a keeper is ridiculous even a very good one especially when last year David de Gea was being talked about in the 20-25 mil bracket and that was to sign for Real Madrid now I love Everton but we aren't a Real Madrid (yet :) ) .

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Put aside the money for a moment, the point is that Hart may well be available as Manchester City are buying a replacement. And comparison with another player is meaningless.}

24 May 2016 14:13:14
Farhad Moshiri or Lance to his mates.
