Don’t know if there is anything in it but pere pons of girona was at Goodison yesterday. Don’t know where he plays or how good he is or even why he was there but I can tell you he was sat behind one of them posts 😂.

Let’s hope it was an oobstructive view he had, otherwise he would have left Goodison quicker than Ravanelis Car, when we refused to pay his gas bill.

Merry Christmas fellow Blues from Georgia. I’m planning to unwrap that great big box from Marco Silva for a great 2nd half of the season (40 points) . Maybe a top shelf striker in my stocking.

January window i would love an out and out right sided player and a striker but if we can't get the striker we want, i'd rather give lewin the season up there and give him some service. we looked dangerous the last 5 mins when we pumped balls into the box and had lewin and tosun winning headers. why wait till we're 4 goals behind to play to lewins strengths? get some deliveries into the box and he will get 10 goals between now and end of season i rate the kid very highly.

to extend that philosophy johny, why not bring in Tony Pullis as attacking coach, and a long throw expert as well, pump balls into the box? we may have to do that come April but are we that desperate now, didn't we sack a manager whose footballing tactics resembled your idea, sometimes you worry me but you were the coach so you must be correct.

unlucky with the disallowed goal but all teams get rubbish decisions against them, we should have fought through it, but a complete disaster after that, please stop blaming the derby defeat Spurs lost a derby and bounced right back, interesting article in the Echo about Silva, mentions some of his time at Watford, Merry Christmas to all it can only get better after that lot, even 3-0 is better.

there is a difference between long ball and crosses if u watched the game yesterday to the end u would know i ment the last 5 or 10 mins we put a lot ov crosses in from dinge and Bernard and we looked very dangerous but don't let my perfectly reasonable post get in the way ov your rant about how u know best mate, yes i am a coach and i play to my strengths, i have fast kids so we play threw balls if i had a forward who was good in the air i would play it out wide and whip balls into him is that not common sense mate no?

That's a good shout Johny mate an out and out striker is exactly what we need, also a good shout re D C L would do a great job up front for us in the meantime.

Smoke exactly mate. We have the lad now and it seems he is here for the long haul. Similarity between Watford demise last winter and ours now after six months cannot be down to mere coincidence surely. Ed002 and others have mentioned Silva's wandering enigma and I agree. For myself I look to Martinez, a coach is what the bloke is and with the talent now available to him he just needs to tick along. Silva! I honestly believe is of the same mode. The Team have dropped to bits since the game against Liverpool, heads are not right, a Moyes or Fergie would have allowed them a little bit of 'poor me' but then zapped them. What did Silva do, I honestly have no idea but I doubt he adopted the 'FFS Get a grip attitude'. GET A GRIP.

Yesterday showed how far behind the top 6 we really are. Spurs played from the back but with purpose and had runners finding space far too easily. Our midfield was none existent and without Gueye we are a soft touch. I sit in the Upper Bullens and for all the stick Walcott gets he makes some clever runs that Coleman never picks up on and passes sideways instead of forward to him.

Richarlison looked lost and should have been replaced at HT by Bernard who is a cleverer player who also tracks back. We went toe to toe with Spurs but they are just better than us and its in games like this that in game management needs to be better. We went one up against the run of play and at that point we should have been looking at packing the midfield to nullify spurs attacks.

Kane kept coming deep to collect the ball because we had no midfield enforcer in the centre of the park. Its time Marco shows if he has a plan b against top sides because going toe to toe is going to see us lose heavily again in the future, and get rid of zonal marking as every second ball fell to a white shirt yesterday and that causes so much trouble and leads to goals. Anyways sorry for the long moan, Merry Christmas fellow blues.

was it against the run of play tho? i thought we fully deserved to be in front at the time, and the second goal that that was ruled out would have made that a very different game and everyone would be on here now praising silva for finally having a good go at a top team, he can't win with some fans, if he would have set out defensive and nicked a draw same people moaning now would be on moaning that we never attack top teams.
lets put yesterday behind us and win the next 3 then win in the cup and all of a sudden the world alright again, onwards and upwards blues.

Big fan of man to man marking but then again I am old (ish) . Remember my lad as a young un, very tenacious in his play, Coach put him onto this lad that was killing us, lad never stood a chance, son came home with cuts bruises and lumps but Team won. Liverpool game did something to us, something was lost and not gotten back since.

Johnny you were there lad, you saw, heads dropped. Since Moyes has gone (not having a go at the bloke by the way) , something has been missing. Mess up in one game, next game eye balls out and up yours attitude prevailed. This lot gave it rocks against Liverpool, lost to a never give up fighting goal and it appears heads have gone since. Moyes, Fergie, go home lads think about it, get it out of your system, come back here and work.
