Rumours Sherwood has told holtby and capoue have been told to train with the reserves I'd put a cheekey bid in if I was booby thoughts

Believable8 Unbelievable11

I agree completely. holtby has way more to offer than mcgeady, and capoue can be a rock at center mid, where you can never have enough cover

Agree1 Disagree1

I often have booby thoughts

Sherwood seems like a top bloke, I don't believe for a second he would tell anyone, never mind two high quality, first team players, to train with the reserves on Christmas Day.

Agree4 Disagree0

'Sherwood seems a top bloke'?
Sorry, I can't honestly believe any same human being could possibly come to that conclusion. The man is an arrogant, deluded tosser. He's so far up himself it's unreal. 'I'd give myself a 10 year contract'? That sounds exactly as it sounds, arrogance personified.

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed039's Note - If you watched the interview he said the thing about the 10 year contract a bit tongue in cheek)

I did watch it ed and I was certain it was tongue in cheek, it's just the general demeanour of the bloke is not befitting of a 'top bloke', IMO. That's just my view of him of course but I've yet to hear anyone anywhere refer to him as anything other than a tosser and other negative descriptions which I couldn't possibly repeat on a family friendly site such as this. Full of self importance yet what has he achieved? Captained a Blackburn side which bought the title? He has to do a little more than that to act like Mourinho, whom I also think is a complete and utter tit!
DB Cooper

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - Fair doos, I havent heard from him too much so I dont have an opinion on him at this moment, and being a neutral I have always found Mourinho "entertaining" in the same way I always liked Gordon Strachans media interviews)

Complete BS Holtby started today!

I heard that Martinez is interested in Alfred Finnbogason, what you think about it?

Believable2 Unbelievable4

{Ed007's Note - Finnbogason has attracted recent interest from West Ham, Newcastle and Cardiff and there is still a chance that Fulham may also look to him. Sunderland, Hannover and Mainz before them have turned their attentions elsewhere for the time being. Celtic have also been tracking the player for almost a year and it was only Heerenveen's asking price that scuppered a deal in the summer, I expect them to try again in January as Heerenveen have some financial problems and the price could have dropped.}

His scoring record is quite impressive.

Agree1 Disagree0

19 goals 7 assist in 21 games this season. yes please!

Read into what you will but I've just read the CEO blog on the Everton website, and Elstone says "We will have a busy January as we look to strengthen our squad". Looks like there'll be a few new faces in January then.

Two players - maybe overseas loans - to temporarily cover for Gibson and Kone are all that's been spoken about by RM.
If some players do move out - perhaps Heitinga and Jelavic - then expect replacements. Likewise if we receive acceptable offers for any of the rest.
Otherwise, more likely to have bigger change around in the Summer rather than in January.

Ed honestly what is the worth of Bainesy in your opinion? 16 million + a player would do for me

Believable6 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - Leighto Bainso would likely fetch between £15M and £20M if he were to be sold.}

I think 20 Million is a deal that would work for everton. Baines is a fantastic LB, but 20 million for a 29 year old LB is a great deal. We are going to need a significant amount of money to buy a forward next year.

Agree0 Disagree1

By selling Baines we would be letting everyone know that our best players are for sale if the price is right.We should be keeping hold of Baines and his like and sending out the message that we are not a selling club and we are here to compete with one and all. Mike

Agree2 Disagree0

I'd take 20m. Once Lukaku returns we don't have a centre forward and that kind of money could find us one. Besides, Oviedo has done a great job as a stand in.

All this about take this and that because of his age. Sorry guys stop talking rubbish. He is the best left back in the country. We need to sign him on 4 year deal and put end to it

Hi Ed is there any news of us in for Brede Hangeland. He is as solid as can be and he is only worth 2.5m! Hope we are in for him.

Believable2 Unbelievable9

{Ed002's Note - Hangeland has had injury issues - I doubt he will be going anywhere in January.}

R m only wants big defenders who can pass the ball.no more big hoofs .

he only wants defenders who can pass the ball no more big hoofs? brede hangeland despite me not wanting us to get him you cannot be serious he is as good a passing centre back as you will find and has very good technique despite being a 'big hoof'

ed is it true that jelavic is heading to west ham on loan with heitinga going to roma for 1 mill and binging in a defender, Fernando or aiden mcgready and a striker

Believable1 Unbelievable4

{Ed002's Note - Not quite, but J & H will be allowed to move on if Everton can recruit replacements.}

24 Dec 2013 09:44:01
apparently Everton have agreed to sign aiden mcgready form spartak Moscow and we are looking to bring Stephen el shaarawaay on loan and a striker in

Believable15 Unbelievable22

Wont be signing El Shaarawy. Great player, wouldn't be surprised if Barca or Real have shortlisted him!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Arsenal, Real Madrid and PSG would all like to strike a deal with Milan at some point but El Shaarawy is generally happy where he is and Milan have no intention of selling unless a very significant offer is made. Previous interest from Monaco and Spurs remains unconfirmed and Napoli dropped out of the running over the summer when they signed Callejon, as did Manchester City when they signed Jovetic. Do not be surprised to see an offer from Dortmund or quite possibly Chelsea.}

23 Dec 2013 22:58:40
Hey Ed, do you know if there is or ever was any interest in FC Twente's Dusan Tadic?

Believable4 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Dortmund, Everton and Schalke showed interest in the past. His agent says Barcelona and Galatasaray are interested now.}

Wear in the team does he play at

Agree0 Disagree0

He plays as a winger or an attacking mid
