I think Everton should sell Jagielka, Arteta,Heitinga,Rodwell,Yobo and Yakubuubu for lets say £55 million,£30 million to the bank, then lets get Hargreaves, Barton, SWP, Onuoha, Bellamy and Daniel Sturridge. For us to be taken over I feel the most logical step is for us to agree a groundshare with Liverpool, I know this isnt popular but from a buisness point of view it makes sense and would make us more appealing to an investor.

Hurts me to say this but, it would be embarrasing if the stadium was say 60000 in capacity... liverpool fill it and we struggle to get in 40.

He's rested three players, failing that it's the strongest side he can put out given the injures and fitness concerns.

I'd hope we'll line up with the 4-2-3-1 tonight with which we finished so well last season
Mucha
Hibbert Heitinga Jagielka Baines
Fellaini Rodwell
Barkley Osman Arteta
Anichebe
...could be 4-5-1 with Rodwell on the right again though FFS

Even against Sheff Utd only playing 1 up front or none if you consider its Anichebi. Dont expect many goals in this game. Very dissapointed with Moyes negativity.
Agree0

Swerve Mucha and go with Howard. Cant leave any room for mistake so stick wih the number 1 goalkeeper. As for Anichebe.. NEED I EXPLAIN {Ed025's Note - NO..

I wouldn't have minded seeing Vellios and Anichebe. What about Yak? Baxter could have played in the hole too. {Ed025's Note - i would like to see anichebe in the hole....the black one in calcutta!

TEAM NEWS, Everton: Mucha, Hibbert, Baines, Heitinga, Jagielka (c), Arteta, Barkley, Osman, Fellaini, Rodwell, Anichebe. Subs: Distin, Neville, Howard, Vellios, Baxter, Wallace.
4-5-1
Problem is it will probably work an absolute treat today and then come saturday it will be gash again {Ed025's Note - there is no pleasing some people

Hopefully Felli and Rodwell can strike up a good partnership in the middle. That is the future. Like. {Ed025's Note - or felli and barkley..
Agree0

One positive is that Moyes has gone for the 4-2-3-1 it seems that many have been crying out for. With Arteta, osman and barkley playing behind the striker. could be effective. {Ed025's Note - its a move in the right direction..

Keep our players , including Jags and Mikel and sign no one , thats how id like us to go , of course I would love for us to have 15-20m to buy a new striker and winger , but obviously we dont . I dont have all that much faith in the board reinvesting any money generated from player sales , so as it stands I wouldn mind the transfer window closing and us getting on with things and going as we are .

Why not sell jags for 16m and play Yobo there instead (he had a good year last year in turkey) and use the 16m for Donovan and a striker?
Believable7
Unbelievable29
Or play Heitinga in his best postion rather than as center mid where he's not great
Agree0

Yobo sold, bank gets half of 16 mill...
Agree0
Disagree0
Not the worst idea, would rather heitinga if jags was sold..... but would also not want to sell jags at all
Agree0
Disagree0
Yobo doesn't want to play for everton. That's a big problem with your proposition
Agree0
Disagree0
Because any money from selling players will just go to the bank...
Agree0

Why does everyone keep going on about Donovan. He is over 30 and its been a year since he played for us, get over it {GMC}

Wish you all would get donovan out of your heads HES NOT GOING TO JOIN US.WE GOT NO CASH. and after last nights game 17000 attendance.wow not much cash from that aswell. you all shout alot BUT DO YOU GO THE GAMES.AND DONT GIVE IT. Oh dear some one got out of the bed the wrong way this morning.but yes can see your point. there was 17.150 fans at goodison last night most came cos tickets were cheap.alot stayed away due to work.and a few stayed away cos of the weekends game.but your right if we need to buy players. the fans need to turn up and put there cash were there gobs are if you want this great club to go places get to the game .

17173 according to the score board from my upper bullens seat, but I have been at Goodison for many years and I think that maybe there were a few more than that there...maybea few thousand yes i did see empty seats but not half a ground worth...maybe Goodison Park Ltd might have made a slight error in the numbers 17173 being advance tickets and then people who paid on the night werent in this total hmmmm, just an idea

Neil Warnock is not even fielding most of his first team for QPRs League cup match.
Surely this cup should be just for everyone who's not playing in europe?
The interest level in it would go up massively.

Why worry he wont be in another 2 years like the rest he will be off lets enjoy him while we can the give the world another star

I went to school with him and can say yes. From at least the age of 11 anyway. bear in mind that was when he signed for us though
Agree0

Wish we would all stop putting pressure on this young man, seems to me everyone is pinning all their hopes on him and this is wrong
Agree0
Disagree0
He'll probably blossom in to another Stevie G (Roy of the Rovers) type player. But yeah, if he gets loads of media attention, his eye will go off the game. Lets enjoy him while we can.
Agree0

What, like Rooney you mean?
Agree0

Ye I see what you are saying guys about not putting too much pressure on him but I am just discussing a young Everton player on an Everton website...of course its all just potential at the moment but the lad is exciting
Agree0
Disagree0
Thought the lad played his heart out at the weekend showed the first team up . but please dm dont burn the kid out take it slow . he will do everton good in the long run.coyb
Agree0
Disagree0
He's a young lad that has shown he is worthy of the first team squad. Nothing wrong with that. Let's rejoice that we've got a good prospect. The last thing we need is for him to be protected. If he's good enough and confident enough, then PLAY HIM {Ed025's Note - if your good enough...your old enough..

Whens Yobo goin'? I'm sick of hearing his name. Get a swap goin' for Billy. Offer Spurs Rodwell for Defoe and offer the Yak to Blackburn These deals are realistic targets but u can all but guarantee nothing will be made of our oportunities. Im starting to believe we can't afford to pay negotiators now.
Believable14
Unbelievable2
This isnt football manager, just because we want to swap Rodwell for Defoe or pawn off Yak to Rovers doesnt mean that they want to.
Agree0
Disagree0
Looks like they do if theyre declaring intrest. Its in Moyes' best intrest to do what he can to improve the squad, if weve got no money we have to offer players.
Agree0
Disagree0
Maybe spurs dont want rodwell maybe a journalist made it up shock horror
Agree0

Listen.. if Moyes picked him up then there is every chance Harry will be sniffing round. The bottom line here is, we need to improve our squad one way or another.

We need a striker who is fit throughout the season, who has Becckford's pace, Saha's finish & Yakubu's strength.

Why not bring Luke Garbutt up for the reserves the kid has potential.

You said we have 2 lazy sods. wow didint you go the game at the weekend.lot more lazy sods on the pitch than off it.

Arsenal fan, in peace. Bendtner isn't a bad player at all, I just think we're the wrong team for him.
If he came to you and started well he could be an absolute steal. {Ed025's Note - thanks for your post mr wenger, but no thanks..

Patrick van aanholt on loan is more likely now, mainly because he can play left wing as well as left back
Agree0

Teams in London will always get funding...if this was a one team city we'd be bought end ov
Agree0
Disagree0
The only reason why evert are not being bought is because of the ground. Why would any self respecting business man buy a club for lets say 100m then fork out another 100 - 150m on a new ground its just not great business sense, it would be a different matter if we had plans already in progress and approved then you would probably see people fighting over the club. So until we have a new ground or planning permission for a new ground dont bank on us getting bought.
