Hard tackler, keeps the ball well, quite rash at times and quite small, good player though rarely loses it

I'm with you, with the uncertainty over Barry would be worth getting in just to have options.

Michy Batshuayi its alleged we have bidded £8.0 million while Swansea City bidded £7.0 million and with FC Porto and Arsenal also in the mix can you clarify what is what on this Ed025's concerning this player transfer.

{Ed025's Note - its hard to clarify anything at the moment sealand, as well as us, west ham and arsenal are in for him among others, apparently the gunners will be his first choice, but that does not mean he is certain to go there mate..

I get a feeling our interest has cooled in him tbh

Reign it in, at that goes to everyone. McCarthy won't be sold unless it is really stupid money (everyone and I mean everyone Messi et al has a price) so stop getting your knickers in a twist. David Luiz is first choice for recent CL winners and Brazil. He is a hybrid defensive midfielder and centre back, with crazy hair! To the right buyer he is worth more than JMac. He is worth more than any everton player, ability doesn't really come in to it. It's who you play for and what you have achieved.
I stress I don't nor do I think JMac is going anywhere but no need to start with if he is worth x then he is worth x pointless debate. We would take 50 mill for anyone that's the reality deal with it

I'm sure I'm not the only person to think this but just shows what a sham FFP regs are considering they've just been fined and now spunking 50m on an average player.

Sylvain Distin is a far better centre back the luiz IMO, very overrated and genuinely laughable to see him go at that price, if I was a Chelsea fan I'd be laughing

Ah another day of bullsheet, today, james mccarthy is set to join Manchester United in a deal which will see tom cleverley move the other way, plus around 5m to tempt the ireland international to old trafford, I wouldn't give man u the steam off my piss never mind jimmy mac, i'd rather sell him for 20 than sell him for 20 and get cleverley in exchange, regardless, I doubt van gaal wants him, papers just have no real stories so they insist on selling our players, its boring

Apparently the bid already gone in but jimmy mac said he happy where he is so tell them to go away. Apparently it was on his twitter.

Just read on sky that the latest player being linked to Manc Utd is McCarthy. We'll have no players left by the time the season starts if we are to believe everything we read. Take it all with a large pinch of salt. With the exception of the loan players I can't see anyone in the 1st team squad leaving. Am assuming Barry joins us on a 2 year deal. Certainly don't want Rodwell back, too many injuries!

Nice to see ssn moving on to another player being linked to Man U so far its been Jags Coleman Baines Ross and now McCarthy I predict next week it will be Stones followed by Kev after the world cup.

Oh and guess who is going to be used as a sweetener in the deal "Cleverly" who supprisingly may be allowed to leave during the Man U clearout this summer.

I think the more talk about sellin our players the better Martinez is under no pressure to sell only add if we sell it will b for huge money and for the benefit of the club and team great to see three hopefully four with stones Everton players at the wc think Barkley might shine our club is in a great position right now very exciting next season will be massive can't wait :)

On ssn that McCarthy is a target for Manchester United and they may even throw Cleverly into the deal. Are they having a laugh. They will report any rubbish nowadays.
