Apparently we outbid everyone for Witsel so it's on again. heard anything?

Don't know how true. various sources on the Internet saying that he has had a contract offer from us for 3 weeks now and Koeman is ready to walk away as he doesn't want the club held to ransom.

The reports on this are coming from Italy I think. But I couldn't see anything said that hasn't already been mentioned over the last month anyway. Still could end up in one of four clubs imo.

Read the article in daily mail on witsel just looked like they rewriting old story's I think we should drop are interested in him and look for a new midfield target he istarting to take the piss know it looks like the Napoli defender we are interested in is negotiating a new contract at Napoli and Swansea are wanting 30+million for sygurdson but apparently we are weighing up a bid for Bruno Martin's Indi for 12.5 million wouldn't mind him he's a good defender in my opinion we need at least 4 new players in before the end of the transfer window.

Agree Duke. What I'm seeing in the press with Witsel and more is just a rerun of stories from a couple of weeks ago. Same old drivel repeated as 'new'. Which means they haven't got a scooby, like us.

Few sources reporting that a deal has been reached for Niasse to go out on loan in Turkey.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

23 Jul 2016 22:45:19
The headlines in the Turkish media all read along the lines of "Everton star striker to move to Turkish Giants". Clearly they haven't seen him playing recently if they reckon he is a star.

Ha you watch he will bang loads in thinking about it maybe not.

Can we not include Kone in the deal?

The lad was ruined by Martinez, I'd of liked to give him a season fully fit at goodison,

Sorry disagree he can't even run with the ball you can't blame RM for that. We had our pants pulled down with that deal.

Was speaking to a physio a few weeks ago and he said he's an absolute clown, apparently he's a laughing stock. Feel sorry for him, it's not his fault we paid 13.5m for him, he just wanted to be closer to his bird.

Galatasary want niasse on loan but want us to agree a 5million price for him before he goes to them on loan if we can get anywhere near 5 million for niasse we should snap there hands of they must not have seen him play for us just wish I never seen him play for us.

Witzel agreed apparently according to media, and the Portugal fella carvalho has been sorted. But as I said its media

Not holding my breath.

Would be amazing if we pull these 2 off striker gk cb RB and left winger and should be good to go.

23 Jul 2016 22:05:53
Can't see both happening. To be perfectly honest I think he media are spinning their lies to sell papers. From everything that has been recently witsel chose inter so that changed quickly and the carvalho thing has gone quiet since the first rumours. Obviously just my opinion.

When will people get their heads round the fact there might not be anymore signings? Just because we have money does not mean we will be able to spend it, players just don't see us as a option anymore thanks to Martinez thoughts Ed?

Believable1 Unbelievable3

{Ed025's Note - i think we will sign at least a couple oxford, its not that they dont see us an option though mate, its because with the sky money all prem clubs are looking to spend big and are offering silly fees and wages for players who would have been classed as average not so long back..

23 Jul 2016 19:48:51
Agree with Ed on both points. Can't believe the amount some players are going for and the wages they are asking for. Unfortunately this is the environment we are in though. If everyone around us are paying higher wages then we will be left behind.

Don't worry our new DoF will bring in some gems, we don't need overpaid sulky players who have a high opinion of themselves and then fail to deliver. We have enough of those already. Steve Walsh has a reputation of looking for players with passion and character.

23 Jul 2016 22:07:05
Bluemike, the only problem is that it isn't likely to be this window (or even the next couple) before we see the full benefit of Walsh.

Agree0 Disagree3

23 Jul 2016 22:33:55
Maybe so Cropper but Steve has not suddenly lost all the knowledge he had on players when he worked for Leicester. Maybe Koeman's needs are different than Leicester's and he may still identify some gems this window that Leicester did not need.

The best thing that could happen is that people stop believing every bit of rubbish that appears on the net and in papers. Most of it is just journalists filling column space.

Moyes confirmed at Sunderland. Think he'll be a good fit for them.

I wish Moyes the best of luck and I am sure he will do well.
When we play Sunderland I hope the fans remember the big picture and what he did for us and give him a very warm welcome. It is time we moved on.

Short memory's I can remember giving that man a guard of honour and then him taking the absolute piss out of us. Call me bitter but I'd very happy to watch him get relegated.

Agree7 Disagree3

23 Jul 2016 12:36:46
Have to agree with browner. The man had a dead easy job (no pressure to be top 4) on megabucks, and then shit on us with his underhanded ways.

23 Jul 2016 13:00:33
I can imagine it now. After parking the bus for 89 minutes, Moyes brings on 3 defenders and Sunderland are playing a 7-2-1 formation. Cross from Hibbert, goal from Osman. Everton 0 Sunderland 1.

The next day Degsy comes on here saying "I told you that we should have got Moyes back. Best manager we ever had! Osman still has plenty in the tank, world class that lad. I was derided for my negative views but look. defensive football wins matches! "

Agree with milomj it is time to move on about the ManU fallout. Personally, I will always remember the fact that he way overpaid for MF, which opened the door for us signing Lukaku. Call it doing the right thing for the wrong reason, but it really worked out for us.

The deal to take stones to city is close hence his absence from the game today 50+ add ons can't be bad but we need to go out and sign 2 center halves now one to go stright in the team the other as back up to the young kids .

Believable4 Unbelievable2

23 Jul 2016 08:42:41
Be a shame if he goes. I think he would have really kicked on this season under rk. 50mil will be enough to bring in a replacement tho.

23 Jul 2016 08:53:04
Thought Stones and Jags were both injured hence missing today.

Agree0 Disagree1

23 Jul 2016 09:01:30
Jags and stones are both injured for today's game but stones expected to play against mk dons on Tuesday but jags has an other hamstring injury think we going to need 2 centre backs in this transfer window one to replace stones and another because jags seems to be getting a lot more injuries know days.

Agree3 Disagree0

23 Jul 2016 10:48:04
Stones is fine no point playing a player who don't want to play for us man citys problem in getting fit now not ours injured having a laugh if someone has (city) offered 50m you are not going to a risk with him might aswell let the kids play .

Agree0 Disagree1

23 Jul 2016 11:32:43
I wouldn't let stones go until we have a replacement. Also if lukaku wants to go for champs league football let Chelsea have him on the proviso we get him back on loan next season. This gives them time to get into champs league and we get time to find a replacement and a boat load of cash.

Stones has only had minimal training. Looked very relaxed and happy at the BT photo shoot in the week. No deal is close Everton will not even entertain discussions unless a solid bid in excess of £50 mil is received. City value him at £40 mil. Therefore no deal is close. This is a new Everton where we are calling the shots regardless what the anti Everton press say.
