This team has not recovered since the derby defeat. The players are playing with a lack of belief. It was very evident today that we were being torn apart in midfield, thus putting pressure on a defence that is already rocky at best. Playing two wide players gave them the freedom of the park, something that could and should have been rectified before there first goal. It wasn't so that has to be down to the manager.

Hopefully he will learn from this and will now see who is up for it and who isn't. Otherwise it's back to square one again sadly.

Having calmed down (and less wife beater in my system) , have to be more objective. No I am not calling for Silva's head (yet) , I didn't want him in the first place for reasons historical but he is here now so let's see how the next few games go. Seen various reports on the game but one in particular was spot on. Where we are at this stage it was and is quite naive if not stupid to try and take a Team like Spurs on at their own game, you have to play ugly football if need be and by that, negate and deny space. Forget which of you posted it by the way but the comment 'would rather go down than watch the football Alardyce played' is at best not worthy of a real supporter. Can't promise to be all Mr Sunshine and Rosy Glasses but I can sincerely wish you all a very MERRY CHRISTMAS.

I wrote that I would prefer to go down than watch Alardyce’s football.

I stand by that. Any FOOTBALL fan from any team would agree. It’s about entertainment, it’s about having a go. it’s about being excited about match day.

Yesterday was tough to watch but still miles better than having no shots at goal in a match. If we go down (which we won’t) I’ll still be supporting the club I love. Would you? As you’d prefer to watching big sam’s hopeless boring dross than be relegated!

In my personal opinion and we are all entitled to ours, your either still on the wife beater or on the wind up or in need of the men in white Coates.

Not a real supporter. hahaha

Have a great Xmas every football fan, but you blues have an extra special one.

WOW, PrestonBlue! Rather go down than watch Alardyce football, awful and naive comment. Have you asked other football fans? think they would disagree with you.

I just feel like we have gone full circle once again in a matter of weeks back to square one and talking of sacking the manager and the team we have is average. Goodison is starting to turn toxic again and I just don't know what to make of it all and where we will be at the same time next year I GIVE UP.

I never believed Siva was any good and not surprised that we are eleventh, but I do not agree with walking out as people do and booing should only be at the end.
It is not the players fault that the manager is useless, his tactical brain is non existent like Martinez.

Now for you all to attack me, I bet we would be higher in the league if we had given big Sam a chance.
We are stuck with this guy who is on to good a deal to walk away like he has done from other jobs to hide his incompetence so better get used to it for at least another year we are going nowhere, does not matter who we sign.

Always thought the same Dark Clouds but he is here now and it seems that good or bad, the Club are determined to ride this one out and look at the long term. We should never lose sight of the fact that it is the Club we support. One thing though, for my part, I have never and would never boo my Club or walk out before the game has finished.

you are talking out of Uranus Silva will come good when he has his own team, the following simply not good enough, coleman, keane, davies, wallcot calvert lewin shneiderlinn, tosun not enough heart, class or effort.

I am glad skylark that we are on the same page, I sometimes think I am on my own with my views, but I wish you all whatever your views a great xmas.
We are all Evertonians but I do wish people would stay for the whole game support the lads then boo at the end if that is deserved, we do pay good money to watch we therefore must say what we think.

Hi Ed's if we're in for a RW why not go all out for Julian Brandt. and can we still buy 18 and under players from abroad? If so, young striker fiete arp at hamburger sv would be a coup.

{Ed002's Note - There is no interest from Everton in Brandt and why would he even think about moving to Everton? There are rul;es governing the signing of children under 18.}
