Have it on good authority fellaini is going nowhere unless he goes for around 18m because the only team to have real interest enough to make a bid for him are man u and they won't pay anymore. Same story with baines, if he goes it will be 14m, once again only team interested in him is man u. As for incoming there won't be much, maybe a loan or cheap player. All of our targets so far have ended up at other teams apart from the ex Wigan players, this is from a solid source. Blue Billy

Believable4 Unbelievable22

Omg lol, then we buy suarez and rooney for 5 mil source is suarez and rooney when we all had afternoon tea in nandos then messi popped in and sat wid us I gave him my autograph. he was a happy bunny, he going to pay himself to transfer to everton in the summer

Agree3 Disagree0

Hasn't RM already stated even for 35m they aren't going. so whey would we accept 32m. I'm all for rumours bt that's bordering on the obsurd. Jcl

Agree2 Disagree2

You forget one thing, we have to want to sell the players to the bidding team in the first place. United can be interested all they like, we don't have to do business with them.

Agree2 Disagree0

24 Aug 2013 03:51:55
well you're a bundle of fun

Agree0 Disagree2

In fairness, I think the OP is saying Man U won't go higher than 18m, so unless we are desperate to sell him, he will stay. I think.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think the reason their bid was called 'derisory' was because it was a lot more than £4mil short of the mark! With add-ons Fellaini cost us £17.5mil so why are we going to sell for £18mil (£5.5mil below hos release clause!)And we rejected £12mil outright for Baines. if we'd go for £14mil then we'd have negotiated the £2mil difference rather than rejecting out of hand! There is no way on earth that these two are going for £32mil. ridiculous!

Agree2 Disagree1

You forget one thing its not martinezes decision wether we sell or not its the banks and moyes knows this, he had players sold wich he wanted to keep. Welcome to everton roberto

Agree2 Disagree1

Like I said, they are GOING NOWHERE, I didn't say we were selling for that price, all I said was that no bigger offer will be made.
Blue Billy

Agree1 Disagree2

I've heard the same of a good friend there's little funds am all depends on weather fellaini stays or goes

Agree0 Disagree0

This is what happens when dear bill agrees to give the new manager money for players and then does a u-turn.
give him the money to spend now regardless of selling players, buy first then sell afterwards, look at spurs.
at least give the impression we don't need or want to sell and maybe other desperate managers will start a bidding war.

Agree1 Disagree0

If Everton are keeping up with interest payments the banks can not demand more. Like your mortgage if you're up to date then they can't demand more money simply because you have money unless you took out a dodgy one with a dodgy company.
Oh wait, isn't that what we did?

Agree1 Disagree0

You say buy first sell later but any money if/when Bale goes it will be for much less because Real will think well. you have just spent 100 million so you need our money now, Here is 30 million less than before take it or leave it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Can people stop saying the bank this the bank that. it has nothing to do with the bank who we sell they have no say on who comes or goes ok. they can repo stuff secured on the loan IF payments are not met untill that happens the bank has no say on anything everton.

i have not seen the interview but from whatam reading on here moyes is embaressing himself, "i would sell stars" maybe but not for 28 mil you wouldnt. I loved moyes but now I would love him to fail the ******* cheek of the man. bill has got to say no to united no matted what bid comes in. they takin piss out of him as a chairman and us as a club. be like spurs owner we dnt need to sell so bog off!

Believable12 Unbelievable2

Nice choice of alt words ed, sry for the bad words but, I class this as a form of tapping they use a bid that is shamefull so the players know they want them, trying to get them to hand a request in so we sell cheap because the want to leave. for moyes to do it to us arghh the cheek {Ed025's Note - its irking us all mate, thought he was bigger than that..

Agree1 Disagree0

We should report them am not saying anythin will happen but I think they are takin the jimmy on purpose

Agree0 Disagree0

Think the interview might do us a favor, it might get bill mad enough to tell moyes to p. off, not for sale, at any price.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hes ruined 11years of good work in 2 months, thinks he's bigger than everton. I was a big fan of his but not now

Agree1 Disagree0

Yeah just like he's let rooney move to . Practice what you preach moyes

Agree1 Disagree0

If these words actually fell from the mouth of the ginger one, then Bill should refuse to do business with him and his club. Looks like they are smarting from their derisory bid being made public which exposed their bullying tactics. Moyes himself told the world that it wasn't cheap to buy from Everton, so why does he think that stance has changed? His arrogance and contempt for his former wage payers is astounding. I. for one, hope he gets a bad reception upon his return.

Agree0 Disagree0

The Board need to develop a backbone, sadly its something that won't materialise and at least one of them will leave. Not to worry eh! I'm sure there will still be plenty applauding Bill's face on the big screen. When will people realise its not about the manager / Chairman, the club will still be around when they depart

Agree2 Disagree0

Moyes, is all out for Moyes, If he loved Everton he wouldn't try and screw them and leave them 2 great players short with the window closing in 8 days or so.Tell him to get F****d

Agree0 Disagree0

So Moyes doesn't like the fact that the bid went public . well he is the one to name the players, Everton didn't in their statement announcing the bid . guess this will be first and last time he approaches us . next year he'll be managing some other club way down the leagues! .

Agree0 Disagree0

Put in a realistic offer £20m+ for Fellaini . £15m for baines. Only people holding em back is you and your club. Show us the money or p*** off moyes! Bluenose Will

Agree0 Disagree0

It's a sad and depressing what's happened to our once beloved manager. He was once revered and respected at our club, with a mutual respect and loyalty there for all to see. Since his move to Utd though, the man has conducted himself in a sly and disreputable manner. He doesn't owe us any loyalty, just like we don't owe him loyalty (none of us supported Moues, we support everton) but he does owe us respect. We have him the platform to showcase his talents. He could easily have been fired during his earlier years, but we stuck by him, trusting him. These sub-par bids and conniving interviews in which he claims he would never have stood in the way of players leave a bitter taste in the mouth. I'm really disappointed in Moyes and feel saddened by his lack if respect toward our club. We need to stand firm now and repel any bids whatsoever from Moyes and hope he remembers who made him

Agree1 Disagree0

Come on Bill stand up and be counted come out and make a statement telling that man u man to go away and don't contact us again.

Agree0 Disagree0

Moyes is a hypocrite, he says he wouldn't stand in the way of them leaving, he did do last year and now he's the one on the other side an he thinks we should just let them go and on the cheap aswell, what ever happened to the ethical Mr moyes we knew and worshipped have a good long look in the mirror dm you won't like what your reflection shows.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Aug 2013 22:30:27
I think we will sign moses and mccarthy on deadline day do you think that will happen m8 {Ed025's Note - it will depend on if someone leaves..

Believable4 Unbelievable6

We won't sell unless silly money 30 mil or more min for felli we have 20% sell on clause so anthing less is hardly a profit and 18-20 mi. baines min, if felli wanted to leave a request would have been handed in. baines would never do that plus its world cup year would they risk not playing everyweek and not being picked add that to the fact felli didn't like moyes playing him out of poss and baines didn't get on with him and quite happy when he left. moyes won't get either unless we sell for silly money it is that simpple

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed, you said you expect another 2, yet now you say if someone moves?
So we will get another 2, but only them 2 if someone moves, confusing? {Ed025's Note - i said i expect 2 more, but if one of them is a big money buy, then someone may move..

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Aug 2013 22:30:27
I think we will sign moses and mccarthy on deadline day do you think that will happen m8 {Ed025's Note - it will depend on if someone leaves..

Believable4 Unbelievable5

Why Why Why does it need to depend on selling players where is the cash promised to the new manager.

Agree1 Disagree0

23 Aug 2013 21:48:27
Going be an interesting last 10 days of transfer window. I have a feeling if anything is going to happen it will be the middle of next week. The board won't sell last minute when we have no replacement lined up. We still need one or two in even if no one goes.

Believable7 Unbelievable2

23 Aug 2013 21:46:55
Ed is there real interest piatti fella looks a good player how would improve us

Thanks
Wasy {Ed025's Note - we have had a good look wasy, and roberto is a big fan, he was valued at £38m not so long back, so must have something mate..

Believable5 Unbelievable0

23 Aug 2013 21:29:32
Just seen this the Daily Mail quotes Manchester United manager David Moyes as saying Everton should sell Leighton Baines and Fellaini for the good of their footballing careers. {Ed025's Note - trust the daily fail!..

Believable5 Unbelievable1

Ed . it quotes Moyes so presume genuine . If so all respect for him has gone {Ed025's Note - it went a while back mate..

Agree2 Disagree0

23 Aug 2013 23:08:39
if there are direct quotes, then its time the board issued a statement through its lawyers. Man U are a PLC and price sensitive to the threat of costly legal action.
Take a look at the performance of their shares over the last 12 months hardly stable.
If I was an investor i'd get out now they won't improve.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Aug 2013 23:55:46
Dear Man U,

Get rid of moyes, ten years and despite plaudits he didn't win a trophy or competition. Ferguson was an arrogant person, Moyes seemingly is just. -

Agree0 Disagree0

Is this the same reason the ginger one wouldn't sell Lescott to City until he refused to play and handed in a transfer request?

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Aug 2013 07:14:05
I happen to think DM has a point. more money, higher profile, CL and all that goes with it but

Notice the mind games; do we expect more of this from the over the next week.
I do,
do we expect a transfer request over the next week I do,
we could be due . "the player was not in the right frame of mind."

However DM EFC are not your local supermarket where you buy one and get one free, so stick your derisory offer and BOGOF.
If you want our players pay the going rate say £20.00
million for each. whilst disappointed to lose them at least we would appear to get a decent fee for them both.
The joys of being a blue

Agree0 Disagree0

Well he didn't do anything to help the footballing carer of Barkley, good riddance, he needs to keep his shut and show a bit of a respect.
Bluenose.

Agree1 Disagree0

I think you guys are forgetting that moyes is the manager of Man U and not everton. You think he can offer us silly money just because he was a manager here before.

Our new manager bought players with him from his old club. Are we going to send them away to avoid being arrogant?

As for fellani and baines, we should ask them straight out if they want to leave. If not, tell the world they are not for sale. If they do, set a sale price that benefits us and don't accept a penny less.

Agree0 Disagree1

23 Aug 2013 19:05:05
Hi ed, what are the chances of Fellaini leaving and Everton bringing in Barry, Piatti, Moses and Alderweireld? All players we've been linked with recently. Can you see that happening or do you think there will be less movement than that? {Ed025's Note - a bit less mate..

Believable3 Unbelievable6

I don't agree I think f Fellani leaves we will sign 3 players

Agree0 Disagree1

23 Aug 2013 16:45:40
Hi Ed, What area do you feel we should strengthen? I think we need a creative Midfielder to be honest! And if Fell goes who do you think our targets would be? {Ed025's Note - all the usual suspects mate..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I hear Scharner's contract at hamburg has been terminated, I pray he's not on his way here as many people seem to think (not on here)

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Aug 2013 20:47:42
i reckon another centre back with alderweireld being my first choice although umtiti from lyon looks a decent player saw him a couple of times and seems a bit like distin only smaller and without the sheer power buzz has and don't think he can play out the back which is something we need and with distin out of the wba game i'd prefer duffy or stones played and not heitinga, I don't believe we need another central midfielder unless fellaini goes especially now with ross stepping up but another won't hurt although I suspect marrone could still be brought in and I rate him highly too, like last summer when moyes brought in kennedy I see martinez bringing in a youngster or two for a nominal fee

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Aug 2013 18:46:59
Is there any chance of us signing Vadis Odijia-Ofoe from bruge. Deal was completed last year but FIFA said deal wasn't completed in time. Or was he a Moyes player? {Ed025's Note - a moyes pick..

Believable1 Unbelievable5

So why does moyes not sign him now, not gud enough 1 but enough for a another as term goes

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Aug 2013 16:07:24
So Willian? Has gone to chavski, Moses back to being a possabilty? :-)

Believable4 Unbelievable3

I honestly think they had to many attacking midfielders and they just didn't want spurs to have, somethings got to give because they are overloaded with attacking players

Honda spotted in Liverpool last night eh looks promising.

Believable3 Unbelievable12

Bit early to be spotting people mate day or so till window shuts you should be posting that, what could not wait I have spotted lots of people in Liverpool as well that honda you saw in Liverpool was it blue didn't catch number plate did you mine was stolen this morning {Ed007's Note - I can see the headline.... 'CAR STOLEN IN LIVERPOOL:SHOCKER! and in other news scientists have discovered that water is actually wet..}

Agree0 Disagree0

No, I heard it was a Harley Davidson

Agree1 Disagree0

A HONDA spotted in LIVERPOOL last night

Agree0 Disagree0

Honda Goldwing!

Agree0 Disagree0

I saw one in Stockholm too, parked next to Matteo Ferrari

Svenny

The serious answer to this is he's now being looked at by PSG. We have no chance

23 Aug 2013 15:22:57
If we do end up selling Fellaini, who would you guys want to replace him? Two players who I would love for us to get as his replacement would be either Axel Witsel (Zenit St. Petersburg) or Nemanja Matic (Benfica). Any idea how much they would cost ed? {Ed025's Note - witsel..£28m....matic ..£19.5m..

Believable1 Unbelievable7

23 Aug 2013 16:50:29
dont know who matic is but I've seen witsel play a few times looked decent for benfica but always appaling in the big games and pretty average in the league most times does have a good pass on him can use both feet also looks quite tricky but I wouldn't pay 28m for him but you never know but he is probably on big wages in russia

Agree0 Disagree0

Georginio Wijnaldum from PSV. Attacking midfielder. Last season scored 14 goals. This season 3 goals in 2 apps. Said that he wants to stay at PSV but he may change his mind to come to a club such as Everton!

Agree0 Disagree0

Wijnaldum isn't that good and deffinitely dosnt play in the holding roll, he's bout 5ft for starters

Everton will let fellaini go for 25mil
We will sign piatti
Barry on loan
And McCarthy
What do you think ed

Believable6 Unbelievable11

He is leaving and to be honest its good business.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 m. for Felli. Barry no thank. McCarthy 10m. Whelan.

Agree1 Disagree1

You say as if its fact, then ask the ed? {Ed025's Note - at this moment, no one is going anywhere..

Agree0 Disagree0

How 30m they offered that both I doubt they pay 7m over what he could have been signed for a few weeks ago

Hearing Fellaini wants to quit Everton for Utd before his price gets even higher next year!

Rich84

Believable9 Unbelievable15

That rumour only appears in the star mate, I'd take it with a pinch of salt.

Agree0 Disagree1

'Sportsmail understands that Fellaini is keen to be given his chance at a really top club before next summer’s World Cup has a potential impact on his value.'

What does it understand and why does it understand that's his position?
Are there any quotes from MF? No they've made it up as the mail does.
Take it with the articulated lorry full of salt cargo it deserves because it's nonsense.

Agree1 Disagree0

Thats funny because RM was quoted as saying that both players have been model professionals since the bid became public, does that say MF is wanting to move? don't think so.
ewefc

Agree0 Disagree0

Wouldn't be surprised if the Utd press office provided the ammunition to put ideas into peoples heads

Agree0 Disagree0

He'll be out of the West Brom game with a 'niggle' and be gone by Monday. £25 million.

Agree1 Disagree1

Well tuff tits, he signed a contract which runs for another 3 years so unless we want to sell he goes nowhere

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe gone by Tuesday after Chelsea turn the Manchester United over . only then will United really up the ante if they really want him

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Aug 2013 08:45:15
I really hope Manchester United don't come in today before tomorrows game. As I think we will wipe the the floor with WBA with a full squad to choose from more or less. no Anelka now for WBA, out for this game, leaves a bunch of kickers. what odds a sending off for them. one question. does anyone know if Sinclair can play tomorrow?, though he has little match fitness can cause problems.

Believable5 Unbelievable2

Yep, we sure did wipe the floor with them.

23 Aug 2013 08:34:22
Martinez as said man u lack commom sense over baines and fellaini deal, about time someone spoke up about them'well said martinez!also I hear fellaini wants the man u move before his price tag gets even higher next year.

That supposed quote from Fellaini is only in the star, I wouldn't lose too much sleep over it.

Hey Eds, can you stop posting opinions please? This is the rumours page. "I think that we should go for. " is not a rumour; it's an opinion. There are other sections or even forums to discuss opinions. {Ed025's Note - opinions should be on the banter page..

Believable5 Unbelievable4

On the wrong page you should be in the banter page with your opinion :)

Wasy, I posted it in this section because it involves this section. This post wasn't an opinion, it was a request.

As for the other guy, don't you have anything more important to do than complain about someone who wants to see a less-cluttered rumours page? Exactly.

Agree0 Disagree1

Ye but it was a request based on your opinion wasn't it. If you don't like what fellow blues r posting then don't come on here. Surely with your opinions you could be on a political rumour site fighting for world peace. Smile 1nce in a while u mite enjoy it. COYB!

hey guys,

chelsea fan here, was wondering whether you all think deulofeu will be featuring in your side a lot or are mirallas and pienaar ahead of him.

thanks {Ed025's Note - hes only young and new to the squad, but i would imagine there is a clause in his loan agreement that he must play, pienaar has been below par for a while, and i expect him to get his chance as his replacement, but from the bench to start with mate..

Believable8 Unbelievable1

Come january I expect him to be playing regularly but will come intothe first team slowly

Agree0 Disagree0

I think he'll feature from the bench and then probably get a run out in the league cup game. (Wavertree Blue)

Really think we should have a look at andros Townsend from tottenham he played great on loan at qpr and would be available form about 5m.

Believable10 Unbelievable6

Against a very poor team, granted, but he was excellent last night. Man of the match by far with a goal and two assists.

Hi ed, looks like Piatti and Barry (1.75m and Loan respectively) are firmly on the radar. What do you think our chances of getting them are? {Ed025's Note - pretty good i imagine..

Believable4 Unbelievable3

23 Aug 2013 08:46:49
I think adding Barry would actually be a shrewd move. He would add some grit to the midfield. Don't know the other guy but will check him out. Massive game this weekend. I hope this week hasn't distractrd them too much. We need to go into every match like a cup final, near total domination of possesion is lovely but we need to convert that into wins.

Just read an article on an old target of ours from Almeria. Pablo Piatti, little Argentinian kid.
We went in for him 2010 and were told to met his £38m buy out clause. We obviously turned and ran.
He's now surplus to requirements at Valencia he's 24 and is up for £1.5m. He's just turned down a move to Rennes.
I'd be chuffed to mint balls if we landed him
Check him out
Dave M

Believable7 Unbelievable2

Agreed, the next gen arteta

Agree3 Disagree0

Martinez was also interested in him while he was at Wigan. Unfortunately it looks like he wants to stay in spain.

Agree1 Disagree3

Is there a reason why his valuation has dropped from 38 mil to 1.5?

Agree0 Disagree0

It seems very very cheap like, but then Valencia are screwed financially. more than us anyway haha
They had debts to the tune of about 600 million euros until the government bailed em out
But even still, they are more than twice as much in debt as we are.

Agree0 Disagree0

His buyout clause at Almeria was £38m prior to his move to Valencia.
The Coach there has allegedly said he doesn't fit into his plan.
Don't know why he's so cheap. But he looks a great player.

I keep reading the club is now 'communicating with the fans' they have only told us one thing (felli+baines bid) and even that was aimed at whipping up a bidding war with whoever else may want them and/or to push the price up
The press platform is a great tool when used properly and that is what our new 'communications person' is doing
