Just a bit, Clarkey! Whilst I'd love to see that, Juve have been building the partnership between Llorente & Tevez all season. They work brilliantly together so I'd be amazed if they let him go. Wouldn't mind Giovinco from them though - I think he could do well in the Prem.

Hi Girls and Guys.

Just a very quick heads up. I have been to our company St George's Day 'party/PR' today with a number of our customers and clientele. I got talking to a gentleman who does a lot of work with both Everton in the Community and Liverpool Foundation and he told me some very interesting things. He has been to a number of meetings about a new stadium for Everton on Walton Hall Park. He said that it has been given the go ahead by the relivent parties and will be released to the press in the next few months. He said he has no idea who is funding the project but it looks like it will be going ahead. His female colleague left our party early to go to Liverpool FC as they are announcing tomorrow that they intend on building a 100 bedroom hotel behind one of the stands (I like he said the Kop but I could be wrong) and a new row of shops and coffee shops down the Centenary Stand. He said that this will be released tomorrow.

Now, I assure you that I don't come on here with knowingly false information and I hope Ed can back me up on this, I am simply passing on the information I have heard. I guess we will find out if this is true if the Liverpool story is true.

Fingers crossed hey!

Everton Al.

PS. I would rather not say who my source is as I'm not sure if this information could jeopardise my sources position. I appreciate that this is easy to say/fake but I give you my word that I am only passing on the information I have been told and believe to be true.

{Ed025's Note - i trust you al..thanks for sharing mate..

It may be true, as Liverpool have just announced that they are planning to expand Anfield.

Fingers crossed hey lads. I'd love a new Stadium and I think Walton Hall Park would be a great site to do it on. It could also be the next step our great clubs need.

I'd love for everton to get this new stadium, this would send us to the next level and have profits with the stadium and not losing money. A question that I'd like to be responded is if this new stadium is built, what capacity would it be and if Everton could fill 55.000-60.000 in the stadium. Just asking! Thank you to all of you! COYB & CL football next season!

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - it would have to be 55,000 OFM, we might not fill to capacity for a lot of games, but hopefully the bigger ones, and european nights would be rammed, i would expect it also to be used as a venue for concerts, boxing etc which would encourage sponsorship hopefully mate..

23 Apr 2014 21:31:48
Thanks Ed! I think It would be great if we could fill in 55.000 and about 50.000 (?) at games against mid table teams, but to be honest, a 60.000 capacity stadium would be world class to fill that even if its against the top 6 teams in the league and europe football games!

i can find out if this is true!, I will let you know

{Ed025's Note - go for it TB..

Stadium will be paid for and owned by LCC, but Everton will sign a long term lease on Stadium basically paying a monthly rent, which will pay off loan council get to build it. Just like the Ethiad stadium which is owned by Manchester City Council.
It is a win win scenario for both the council who will get a continuous return on the stadium investment and for everton who will increase revenues from not only match days but also from other stadium uses and will more than be capable to pay the annual rent.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - please remember to register and log in..

Surely the problem has always been funding a new ground, not the location, without the funding, a new ground is just a pipe dream.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - see above post..

How come once again the council roll over on their back with arms and legs in the air, whenever Liverpool want to improve Anfield (remember Kremlyn Road and Stanley Park), but ever since the 60's everytime we have wanted to expand Goodison the answer has always been NO.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - if AL is right GTB, i will take a new stadium any day mate..

Is it living in the past to want to stay at Goodison?

the place means so much to so many, I'd love for us to develop Goodison

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - its been great in its day BOTN, but the time has come to move i think, its just not logistically feasible to extend in such a built up area mate, and i know the red are doing it, but a lot of their ground is very much fit for purpose, whereas ours is antiquated and run dowh..

Looks as though it's happening. Can't wait to sit in a seat that's more suited to the larger gentleman

From the Mail,
Martinez claims Cleverley wasn't suited to the English game, and instead would have fitted in well in the Eredivisie or in La Liga.
Previously: Cleverley played under Roberto Martinez while on loan at Wigan.
If Cleverley does move to Goodison Park, he could fit in to the style of Everton's play, which has had success this term.
He said: 'I always said that, technically and tactically, Tom wasn't a normal player in this country - he could have easily fitted into the Dutch way of playing and also had the ability of the Spanish side.'
'He is a real example of someone who has the talent but just needs the platform and environment and direction to be allowed to express himself.'
See, he is just too god for United. IMWT?

These quotes are what I want to see.

Clevs is coming. OMG, Clevs is coming. Yessss.

Get in there Roberto. If we get him for £8m - £15m it will be a total bargain.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - part of me wants to see us sign him mike, just to get your reaction mate.. :)

Also get Jack Cork please, Bobby.

Agree1 Disagree0

Would Cork have a floating role in our midfield?
;-)

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - if we gave him a bung sid.. :)

23 Apr 2014 13:48:24
stay away from cleverley please bobby and these other midfielders like de guzman, nzonzi and cork

Agree1 Disagree1

Surely Cork would play Stopper role!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - good stuff WB mate..

He doesn't fit the English league and would be better in Holland. so we are going to sign him?
That's why we didn't win the league this season, I wasn't looking at the dutch league table, we must be top of that.

Agree1 Disagree0

I wish you'd all stop wine-ing about Cork.

Roberto knows Cleverly well from his Wigan days.
If you ever saw himplay for Wigan you'd know that RM got more out of him than Ferguson or Moyse ever did.Personally I rate the boy he's just at the wrong club.At the suggested £8m he's a snip.

Mark Bollons (Give Me Sport) believes he has it on good authority that Coleman is off to Utd for15m.

why would we sell one of our best players, not to mention the best right back in the league and the player who I believe has progressed most this season both going forwards and defensively. just doesn't make sense to sell!

Agree2 Disagree0

Jokers, if Shaw is worth 30, NO chance.

Agree1 Disagree0

They don't even have a manager. Why would they buy Coleman? Who is to say the new manager would want him? Ridiculous rumour

Agree2 Disagree0

Completely laughable/insane.

So the Manc board are deciding all their targets while they're without a manager? I know some clubs do it, but this is seriously bad timing to pretend you have this on good authority. Also price is massively under valued and why would we sell the 60 grand hero?

Agree1 Disagree0

If the reporter's name had the "n" changed to "ck", then it would perfectly describe what he wrote ;-)

Agree4 Disagree1

15 million for seamus? Surely they'll need to double that.he has been our best player this season. If we show intent over the summer why would any of our boys go elsewhere especially to an unknown quantity?

Agree1 Disagree0

I actually posted that name Cowpat but it didn't pass by ed!

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - you put the full thing mushy, and it look coarse mate, we are a family site and have to be careful mate..sorry..

Whether it's good for us or bad for us teams know just what we paid for Coleman and are never going to offer more than 15 mil for him, they'll just hope to unsettle him

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i dont care what we paid BOTN, its what hes worth now mate, and for me £15m does,nt even come close..
