Not a rumour and not relevant at the moment
But I have heard our under 15s are excellent
And there are high hopes for at least six to
Make the first team.
Also the under 6s (yes I know) are rated as the
Best ever the club has had. We have apparently
Bid 15k for an 12 year old striker from Wigan and
Have a six year old predicted to be a future star

{Ed025's Note - the trouble is B 60, that 90% won't make it! it's a sad fact but that's the truth of it mate..

At Fazakerley Hospital as I write this, nurse just told me newly born has popped out a bit blue but okay, both feet kicking! 2036 World Cup Winner!

Agree0 Disagree0

More than 90 more like 99 out 100 it ussally one year maybe 2 if were lucky

I know ed but Just telling you what I've heard coming from inside the club

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i realise that mate, and it all bodes well for the future..

They don't have a maternity ward at Fazakarley aymore Mushy lad :( (sorry mate had to throw that in :/ )

Yes Ed025. 90% will not make it. That still leaves a healthy 10% and if we got 10% every year, that would be a team over a 10 year time span in my maths. (we would only need to buy 1 player then.)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - sounds good to me degs..

Have it from a very good source that the Rodwell
Return is defo being negotiated, fee is around 7 million
Don't normally spread rubbish, this is from
Inside club. Don't shoot the messenger if it
Doesnt happen but it is being discussed

Believable7 Unbelievable6

{Ed025's Note - I just don't see what he offers for that sort of money..

22 May 2014 20:53:59
I think the potential is still there Ed, and don't forget he's sill only young still the biggest difference this time though he will be able to express himself without the fear of moyes telling him he's doing wrong all the time.

The co-op over the road is closer

Agree0 Disagree0

He offers nothing in midfield except wasted wages on an injured player - and no one else would pay above 5m for him
The one saving grace is he could be turned into a possibly good centre back to replace distin

How's about
Coleman Stones Rodwell Baines as a back four in a couple of years time?

Agree1 Disagree0

Please please please stop with Rodwell thing, why on earth would Martinez with a thin squad pay 7m mil 4 a player who hasn't featured at all this season and plays a handful of games because of constant injurys, this stuffs more annoying than cleverly garbage

I agree he is not my choice but if a deal can be done it will happen, we will have to hope talks break down

Agree0 Disagree0

Just don't see RM parting with money on an injury prone player after the kone and alcaraz problems last year would see a loan deal as the only way forward to see how fit he is over a season, would be a good squad player if he can stay fit.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rodwell was showing real promise before he got the dreaded hamstring boomerang injury. (it kept coming back). Man City believed he was worth 12 million. It is all down to his fitness. I would put him through the most vigorous fitness test ever. Assess him over a few days and then make a decision. He has not turned into a poor player overnight. He has just been blighted with injuries. Remember the goal he scored coming on as sub against Man Utd? It was real class. That shows he has the ability. It is whether his body can withstand the training and constant flow of games throughout a season.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - decidedly average for me degs..

I actually like him as a player, if we got him some new hamstrings it'd be worth it.
Can't see City agreeing to it but some deal heaviliy weighted to appearances to take into account his fitness issues would be my preference.

Hi eds and fellow posters I was just wondering if we have any interest in Spanish players and who they are or anyone in the la lugs someone I would be really keen on is Cuenca do we have interest in him? What realistic players would you guys be interested in out of that league? I for one am bored to death with these dull transfers of similar boring players Milner and colback etc I would take them both but I think we need more goals and creativity and get the squad fillers after we get the marque flair players IMO

Believable4 Unbelievable3

{Ed025's Note - because of Bobby's Spanish background, and the respect he has earned from top clubs there, we are bound to be linked with some of their up and coming talent Ryan, there will be lots of names bandied around mate, but really only the boss himself will know the actual targets..

I think we will look for players of that nature, but seriously, everyone, Cuenca is rubbish.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd like Barry to sign permanent, try get lukaku again either loan or permanent, and thorgan hazard as a direct loan replacement for deulofeu. That carles Gil we been linked with looks tidy, and I'd love to get bony, he'd score loads for us

Mario suarez is a definite target I've heard, canalas and gil are just random rumours, let's look at cuenca ab, 2 footed, good shot, good cross and has an eye for a killer pass, he is also lazy, inconsistent, weak, not too quick for a winger and has personal problems, I agree, i'd rather get someone else

Agree1 Disagree0

With you Swan think Mario Suarez is real target. I feel Barry played last match for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

Exactly Swan. He's like billy. He can put in the perfect cross from the wing, but is so slow and lazy he can never get there. He couldn't even break intothe Ajax team. So many better, cheaper options.
