We need a winger, so why not Dave Whelan from Wigan - didn't he play on the wing at Wembley - although isn't he recovering from injury - a broken leg wasn't it?

Sad thing is, the only replacement would be even worse than eto and we would have to suffer yet another below par addition.
The part of all this that saddens me most is the names we are linked with.
Don't get me wrong they are professional footballers but they are NOT the calibre of player we should be discussing.
I have seen we are linked with m'bia again! I think he had a good season or 2 maybe 10 yrs ago and is always available on a free ffs!
I have lost all faith in a manager I didn't want at the club.
He did surprise me last year but in games against c palace and ESP the Derby disgrace we could see the real Bobby!
People say it's a blip like moyes second season but the reality is that moyes adopted a more in your face approach that season and changed it after consulting the players and we improved.
The problem we have now is tactics and we are sure that Bobby will not change.
He can't change without admitting that his entire philosophy is doomed to failure and so through stubbornness he will continue his style of play until the bitter end!
That will either be relegation or his sacking/resignation.
The players look so confused and clueless it is embarrasing to put them on TV!
After last season we should have been linked with bigger moves for bigger players and really created a feel good factor and give the squad an injection of hope and excitement but in reality we showed little ambition (imho).
The last time I saw an everton team this lost was under w smith and if we go for a more celebrated replacement we'll need to give him money.

Given Daniel Levy's record as a tough negotiator, I can't see us getting anything like these deals or valuations.
