Believable0 Unbelievable0

Let's hope your wife does not use this site Ed. I'm sure she wouldn't be happy seeing you confess your attraction to Pienaar.

BitterBlue {Ed025's Note - cant help it bitter, if i found my bird in bed with lukaku...i would cover him up in case he got a cold mate.. :)

Ha ha, I would give the lad a cuddle Ed lol

Agree0 Disagree0

He plays on the left, him and Baines are our best option by far

Agree0 Disagree0

He's still out for another 2 weeks or so with a hamstring injury.

Hi ed just wondering if Gareth Barry can play against city think he can not we will be short in central midfield {Ed002's Note - No he can't.}

Ed. any chance of getting lukaku on a permanent deal? I know he would be costly but he's exactly what we need up front.

Maybe try him and Jelly together? Might get him scoring again. {Ed025's Note - chelsea will want around £30M imo, and thats IF they want to sell!!, so lets just enjoy him while we can..

Believable5 Unbelievable7

He has been at Chelsea for at least 3 or 4 years I would say.
How long is his contract for? {Ed025's Note - he signed a 5yr deal in 2011..

Agree0 Disagree1

Think only chance we would have is if Barkley was part of some deal ste46

Agree0 Disagree0

Put the Felli money plus a few sales and bid the lot for him. Top class. {Ed025's Note - i agree mike, we need to break the bank to get him..

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't wish to sound a doomer but really can't see Chelsea letting him go. They must regret loaning him out already. Let's make the lad fall in love with our great club and beg to be let go. Him and Ross are developing a telepathy that will unlock the tightest of defences.
blueimp {hEd025's Note - i agree imp, they have the potential to be the most potent attacking partnership in the prem..

Agree0 Disagree0

Could you see Mourinho wanting Barkley in any deal for him Ed? Been rumours about Chelsea wanting him. {Ed013's Note - He is a great prospect and already a good player, but I wouldn't think so mate}

Agree0 Disagree0

I will have money with you that the reason he came to us on loan is because Chelsea have got first option on Barkley. Let's hope Mourinho signs more strikers in the January and they are successful then maybe he will let him sign for us. I think he will cost us about £20m {Ed025's Note - with add ons, they paid £17m apparently...so £20m will not be enough..

Agree0 Disagree0

Our only chance of ever getting him was 31 august 13.Rekon theyd of took 20mill.Rob W

Dont worry about this "first choice" thing though mate as its ultimately down to us what price he goes for, that is unless we put a clause in his new contract that he will soon get

Agree0 Disagree0

Even if we could scrape together the tranfer fee we could not afford his wages

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope eto and touress do well then there will be chance he's been sent out 2 seasons so must be chance. tom efc

Agree0 Disagree1

Mourinho may not even be in charge next season if they don't have a good season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just been on chelsea rumours, really shocked to read there happy he, s with us getting plenty of playing time and becoming more tactically aware referring to martinez know how. tom efc ps hope it backfires on them being so confident he, ll go back hope they buy in jan they were fools to let sturridge go hope were as lucky.

Agree0 Disagree0

If we have a good season & get top four (being a big if) then I think we would stands better chance of keeping them both! I still fear we are very exposed at the back thou to make the top four!

Agree0 Disagree0

If he carries on playing the way he has started we should break the bank for him! We have got just what we needed a excellent striker that will score plenty of goals & works hard for the team! I think a top four finish may persuade both parties but its a case of Chelsea wanting a massive fee especially if he has a top season! {Ed025's Note - thats the bug bear mate, if hes great...they will want him back..

Agree0 Disagree0

The other thing to consider is, if he has a great season with us and we do manage to get top 4, we'll not be the only party interested in his signature. You can bet your ass Spurs, Arsenal, the RS and others will be in for him. We've no chance unless he falls head over heels for us.
It's better to have loved and lost. etc.

Agree0 Disagree1

What's to say if we were to push for a top 4 place with the beast and get all that CL money? Then we could afford him!

Agree0 Disagree0

Unfortunately I don't think he'd want to stay. He wants to play for a team challenging in Europe and some of those teams will be interested if he's for sale. He enjoyed west brom but still turned them down for us. We're a stepping stone in his career and we just need to hope that he does well enough for us to attract a replacement.

What are the chances that Tony Hibbert will leave the club in the January transfer window now that we have Coleman and Stones?

very feckin unlikely

Agree2 Disagree0

Very small

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do the respondents think it so unlikely? He's not getting a look-in at present and surely he's behind Coleman and Stones in the selection order?
BaronHardup

Agree0 Disagree0

Unlikely, he is a loyal lad and only one defensive injury away from being on the bench
Cheeks

Agree0 Disagree0

Who would want to buy him? Even if someone did the fee and wages saved would hardly be worth it. We would be better keeping him as cover

Pod

Agree0 Disagree0

Unless Hibbo really wants to go then he it would be better if he stayed. Hibbo has been a loyal blue giving 100% every game. If he wants to finish his carreer with us then he should be allowed to.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Tony might retire after this season, RM clearly doesn't rate him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fair enough. I guess he'll hang up his boots when the time's right rather than move to another club.
