. Phil McNulty has just tweeted that Naismith & Mirallas came to blows at half time & Baines got involved too & stormed out of the dressing room shouting "this is aids"!! Make of that what you want folks, but that has confirmed to me there is no team spirit left & Bobby has lost the team!

I agree, he can't handle a big team, well out of his depth, but who do we go for

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - jimmy saville would be more popular charlie..

Ed025: you might as well also get Stuart Hall to do the matchday commentary on the website, Max Clifford to handle the club PR, and Rolf Harris to paint a new mural at the ground.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - they would still all be above bobby in the popularity stakes tonight sid..

Assessment of Managers for the Chop rates Roberto Martinez as safe. He is safe because Bill is known as a very loyal chairman to his manager. Those that have managed people in substantial numbers know that this loyalty can also be a weakness. In this case Bill has to realise that football is result based and by taking no action is placing himself and Roberto above the Club's best interests. We have 16 games left and have only won 1 in 13 games, so where are we going to get the 17 points required for safety.

Dont really think last nights result was RMs fault sometimes rubbish just happens. The only think I would have done differently was start with Mo and Ross as cm and Bryan on the left. That is a game we should have won.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i think it is bobbys fault sa, we were far too narrow and predictable, ross is not good enough to be in the side either, and our most influential player on the night gets dragged off early..whats not to blame?..

The this is aids bit made me laugh, you should be a comedian

Bill may be loyal but the club is running out of time this season! He should have been addressing the problem 2 months ago the signs were already there last September!

Ed025. Besic was limping, he wasn't "dragged off"

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - its just a term mate, like being hooked does not mean the manager gets a hook and wraps it around the players neck to sub him..

Ed, is there a chance that we could be signing anyone this window?

Since Sammy is leaving, are we looking at a CF or is McAleny going to get a go do you know? Cheers.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

{Ed025's Note - i think it unlikely we will sign anyone QB, there may be a loan, or possibly a goalie, but dont bank on it mate..

Nice one Ed, had a feeling that would be the case. Oh well. Hope for a win today tho.

I don't get why we're letting Eto'o leave.
On the one hand, he wasn't getting game-time as a striker, but, on the other hand, we surely need the squad to have strength in depth - and we should be giving our available players game-time considering our injuries.
Perhaps he wants to return to live in Italy.
Perhaps we're getting a fee - unlikely(!) - for a player we brought in on a free transfer.
Perhaps we want to free up his wages for other players.
Perhaps we want to create a slot in our registered squads (premier League and Europa League) for another player.
Perhaps RM is getting rid of an outspoken player - if so, is RM just rearranging the deckchairs on the Titanic?
Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps.
It's all going "Pete Tong" this season isn't it?

{Ed025's Note - deck chairs on the titanic is what im hearing sid

Ed025: if you recall, we agreed to see where we are after the derby. As it stands, the players have been giving some gutsier performances of late, but we desperately need the points from a run of victories - starting this evening. Notwithstanding the tactics, the performances, the results, the relationship with the players, and all other concerns about RM this season, the bottom line is results - if he doesn't get victories, then he won't survive. BK is loyal and won't panic, but even he will act - just like he eventually did with Walter Smith.
I just hope we can be positive when we review the situation after the derby.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i still stand by that sid..its all about points now as you say mate...lets hope this filming tonight does not become...a nightmare on gwladys street..

Certainly seems like Bill knows Roberto has done to us what he tried 4 seasons to do to Wigan before finally succeeding. It looks like clearing the decks to me also but clearing ready for the Championship. Even Jags in his interview today looks and sounds like a beaten man. Whatever has been happening in the dressing room and at the training ground, we definitely have a load of unhappy players.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i must agree DM, he did look subdued in that interview mate..

Big game for us tonight blues, won't really move us anywhere in the league but will give us lots of confidence. I expected Bobby to sign some players by now, and I'm sure we're all wondering why no one has signed. Any reliable news ed?

Believable3 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - nothing credible IWJB, i keep telling people that there will not be a spending spree in this window, we may bring in a keeper or the odd loan but that will be it mate..

19 Jan 2015 11:14:33
I agree it is possibly the most important game this season with all the pressure on us after such a poor run of recent form, normally it should be a run of the mill victory but it could shape the rest of our season in the sense of pushing upwards in the league or a relegation dogfight!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - it will not be easy tonight though wakka, pulis teams never roll over, and with their players looking to impress the new manager expect a hard physical game, we need to get at them from the first whistle and show the same intensity as we have over the past few games, i expect us to win it, but if we dont the pressure on the side will be immense..so COYB..

19 Jan 2015 12:38:50
No new in but I am worried some will go on last day and then it will be to late to bring someone in? AGAIN.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jan 2015 12:51:48
Agreed Ed025, Pulis will know the pressure is on and will make things very difficult as Palace did last year, we will need to be at our best and need to get at them straight off!
